Hi, I am sorry about the trouble your hubby is having. I took two antihistamines during treatment. Benedryl and Allegra D. The "D" part is important because it is a decongestant. It is available as an over-the-counter drug in most states. However, it will also keep some people awake especially when they first start taking it. I took it for a long time prior to treatment and it doesn't bother me anymore but still. Your hubby should ask for help with getting some sleep.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

Try Allegra I have acid reflux also but I have really had that problem but try Allegra its a non drowsy allergy pill you can get it a Walmart, Walgreens or wherever.

I hate taking anything because even brands that state they are non drowsy make me light headed. The best thing for me in the past was Allegra. But I only take that if my allergies are so bad that the inside of my mouth gets itchy.

Can i take any type of non drowsy allergy medicine. I took a 24 hr non drowsy generic brand of allegra before i was pregnant? Can i still take it? I really am having a tough time with allergies without any medicine.

Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. ve been told zyrtec is good. Allegra makes me super drowsy and causes muscle aches but everyone tolerates it differently. She should see an allergist. The allergist might prescribe singulair. It works great on ky daughter but causes me anxiety. I've tried chamomile tea and it helps a bit, with no sugar though. Keep me updated, I know the feeling. I've lost lots of weight avoiding processed foods and other foods.

For ladies with Allergies what are you taking or doing. Claritin just doesn't seem to be doing the job. I am a stuffy, sneezey mess with watery eyes half the time. And I need to function so Benadryl is not an option unless I am able to sleep all day.

I use the non drowsy type for daytime if I have Post Nasal Drip...other wise I take the reg drowsy formula at night a few hours b4 I go to bed...and it gets to the point I fall asleep soon after I go to bed.... I hope that helps...just ask ur Pharmacist to suggest what may help u...but this has helped me a great deal and I saw an article that makes claims on how it can help headaches too.

My doctor actually told me that allegra was fine to take as long as its the regular kind not allerga D. But I didn't take it all of the time... N my baby is perfectly healthy, benadryl is good to take too.U should ask ur doctor n see what ur comfortable taking Bcus everyone is different.

I get redness & it is itchy & sting a little around my mouth. A couple of years ago a went to see an allergy specialist & was advice that I have an allergic reaction to almost everything I eat not to mention being around my cats & dog. I got my allergy shots but on the 5th day I ended up in the ER & could barely breath from then on I stop doing the shots. I just buy OTC medications for allergy & or Allegra but nothing seam to work very well I just makes me drowsy.

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. I take Lexapro, I was also Diagnosed with GAD, and I was diagnosed with ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, Lexapro dosnt really have any side effects, but one thing I notice, is that my anxiety seems to no longer be a extreme issue, except during high levels of drama and such. It does make me drowsy, and for me, works 24/7 I dont really notice the side effects for me, only one I can really feel is the drowsy/tired feeling, it makes me want to go to bed.. s supposed to lower your blood pressure, prevent you from cold sweats and will also make you drowsy. You should try to sleep through as much as possible. If you can have your doctor prescribe you a sleep aid or try melatonin if your looking for a more natural solution.

you should talk to your doctor about whats safe to take during pregnancy. does he know you are taking dramamine? just make sure its safe! i know its frusturating when pregnant and cant sleep....its the worst! i feel for you...best of luck!

Also do these basic blood tests Vitamin D. Vitamin B12 and Ferritin. Out of these Vitamin D or 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 test is very essential as over 90% of hypothyroid people are usually low on this.

by the time I got to read your reply I had already purchased a product suggested by live chat pharmacist Ronda R...she said Allegra D or Claritin D(generic) and local Walgreens sold my wife Wal-itin D........contacted my Dr. and he also stated the same as you 'I would suggest not taking pseudoephedrine with metoprolol. It could elevate her heart rate. Loratadine by itself would be fine.

the sinus inflammation is caused by some unknown allergy that i am around all the time, the drip is clogging up my eustachian tubes or has entered my middle ear somehow, and because of that im getting equilibrium and dizziness problems. does this make sense? should i be concerned about something more dangerous? i would really appreciate a doctor's input or a similar experience from someone else who has seen an ENT. well really i just want to hear reassurance that everything is fine.

If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes. Since starting Claritin-D, I no longer have that problem unless it wears off before I go to bed.

I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.

I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
