Avatar f tn Ha my sister got one on her labia when she was pregnant with her second baby girl and yes it did eventually go away but I don't know about on the legs...
Avatar f tn Temporary side effects include pain in the muscles in which the injection is given, body aches, dry mouth and soreness. With time these side effects will go away. Please make sure you go for a followup visit to your physician’s office. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn The doctor said I should not worry about the discoloration. It can go away if he removes the varicose veins, but it can stay too.
Avatar f tn Bump
Avatar f tn Compression stocking may help, but not something you can really wear with shorts. They may fade or go away after you have the baby.
Avatar f tn I'm 32 weeks and recently noticed my vagina is very swollen, especially on one side. From what I've been reading (I have an appointment with my OB early next week) I have vulvar varicose veins. Does anyone else have this or have had them? I'm afraid they will get worse and won't go away.
1057411 tn?1254263773 Hi! I am skinny, and pale. Recently I noticed that the veins on my legs have become very prominent and blue. They aren't varicose veins though. Any suggestions on how to make them go away? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Yes, i noticed a dark swollen vein down there on the outside, i checked myself because i felt very achey on one side down there. I don't know if it'll go away after birth or not, its the first time its happened to me in pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Most likely not they run in my family and everyone so far has had to have surgery

Avatar f tn Okay so the other night my leg started throbbing :( and it hurts to move my ankle and bend my leg. It hurts to stand or straighten.. I did some looking online and I'm pretty sure I have a varicose vein :( I don't know what to do.. Should I go to an urgent care or ER or hold it off tilmy appointment Monday? What can I do to relieve the pain? Have anyone had one before? Is this a varicose vein? Or you think something else..? Help!
2020005 tn?1628125976 I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and over the past few weeks have noticed one vein in my right leg getting darker and darker, now it's traveling the length of my right leg (just one vein) and its getting purplish. Is it normal to get just one varicose vein? And should I worry about anything associated with it?? I'm more worried about it causing a clot, or anything like that. And will it go away after birth? I never had it with my son so I'm a little sad, haha!!
Avatar n tn If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins in or near the penis is rather rare. The varicose veins themselves are formed mainly in the legs, mostly because the valves in the veins do not function properly. Are you sure it is varicose veins? You may want to read up a bit more about these to ensure your husband has varicose veins - here's a comprehensive resource on vv - http://www.legpain.guide/g/52/ Hope this helps, all the best!
Avatar n tn Note that when you have laser treatment it destroys the veins so the blood will go to other veins and the problem will most likely return.
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar f tn He told her once she delivered it would go away. But it looked like exactly that varicose veins n they hurt her.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar f tn I just started getting them really bad with this pregnancy but im scared they wont go away. Is there anything i can do to make them go away after i have my baby?? Im worried they will be big and ugly for the rest of my life and im only 23! any advice would really help!
Avatar m tn The thing that makes it worse in I have suffered with varicose veins in my legs which I have had treated but they seem to be coming back very quickly and I’m sure the dilation of my leg veins is accelerating this. If I am calm and feeling good I get no pain in my legs and feet but if I’m worked up I get pains in the arch of my foot and inside of my ankle below the bone, I also get a sensation in my feet of having things in my shoe mildly pressing in to my foot.
Avatar f tn That does sound like varicose veins. Often these are harmless and you can self treat but do show them to your doctor on your next visit. Prop your legs up and elevate them, you could try regular exercise which helps (if you are cleared for activity), losing some weight if you need to and compression stockings can help keep them from getting worse. If they do get worse or they really worry you, then see your doctor now about them. There are good treatments these days. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar n tn I've been on the Nuva Ring for almost two and a half years. My whole family is very fair-skinned, so I've always had very visible veins my whole life. However, it wasn't until I began the Ring that I noticed my first varicose veins on my right calf. I didn't see the connection at the time, but now it's two years later and the same leg is in so much pain almost regularly, and I'm almost positive it is because of the Ring.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
