I got the pregnancy belly rings and they suck! my belly button is stretching horizontally so the opening can fit like nothing in it.. I stuck that little belly ring in there.. which is about half the size of a normal barbell and it irritated the **** out of the hole because it was like stretching it back open.. it hurt to move.. but everyone grows differently but personally I wouldnt waste my money again..
I am going to give my two cents on tongue rings, sorry in advance. Having very little to do with pregnancy, I say take it out. I got mine done when I was 18. Prior to that I had great teeth, never had a cavity or anything. I took it out when I was like 24 or 25 and ever since then my teeth have taken a rather rapid turn for the worst. I am now 32 and so far I am missing two teeth, luckily they are back teeth, that I had to have pulled because there was no saving them.
When I found out I was pregnant I took all of my piercings out except my tongue ring . I absolutely love my tongue ring and don't want to take it out unless I have too . I just recently put in a plastic bar and balls in so there is no metal in my mouth . Do you think the doctor will let me go through labor with the plastic in ?
22weeks ..i stil have mine in and im wondering dose the metal harm the milk in any way ? I take them out for a couple of days and put them back in ..traing them not to close up .
I dont think your tongue ring makes a difference just your belly ring but I cpuld be wrong. I dont have my tongue pierced..

Recession is a lack of keratinized tissue which protects the roots of the teeth. It can be caused by aggressive brushing, tongue rings, misaligned teeth, and it can also be hereditary. When roots begin to be exposed they can cause extreme sensitivity. Talk to a periodontist and ask about connective tissue grafting which can restore the protective gum tissue that you may be missing. Also, having exposed roots for a long period of time leaves them vulnerable to decay as well.

I am a 47 year old male with a history of drinking and related digestive problems (diarrhea/malabsorption). Prior to my current symptoms, I had/have experienced frequent diarrhea, a lower back ache, and geographic tongue. During the past 6 months I have significantly curtailed my drinking to only beer, and no more than a few beers a week. I take Lipitor, BP meds, and Ambien.
My tongue started out very sore and dry, I could not handle spicy foods or mouthwash and I got white rings under my tongue off and on. My tongue is now less sore and the white rings have gone away, but now I have white patches that definitely look like hairy leukoplakia. Sometimes my throat is little sore and I have a slight cough.
I used to think my HIV risk was low but now I'm not sure.
every once in a while it causes a swollen painful bump on my tong that goes away in a week or less. apparently smoking and drinking make it worse, and for lack of better words, i do a lot of.im wondering if the diagnosis could possibly be wrong. also i have the herpes 1 or whatever (oral only).....i have had it forever and have been getting cold sores since i was little. so anyways, about four or five days ago my bottom lip started to swell up on the left bottom, right where my lips meet.
Feels like a burnt tongue, then goes away. My left ear rings off and on. I have off and on episodes of extreme fatigue as well.
I have been in the hospital twice (ER visits and one overnight observation stay) and to the the neurologist at Vanderbilt University. He said he did not think there was anything wrong and to rest. My life has been moderatly impaired and I cannot be left alone during one of these "spells".
I would say put a small ice cube in your mouth..right when you start. Use your hand at the base like someone else said. And also move your head left to right while you're going up and down. And once you get to the head when yyou'recoming back up suck harder and make a pop noise w your mouth as you come off the tip. ;)) hope this helps.

Considering that in 2007 it was estimated that 36.1 million people live with HIV, even if this case was beyond doubt (and I can't help being a tiny bit skeptical) you can't get more unlikely odds than that. After two years the piercing would be perfectly healed anyway, so there is no risk at all on that front.
I've had my belly pierced twice and I really don't want to take it out and have to get it pierced for a third time. I know they make long maternity belly rings but I just don't know if it would bother me when I'm huge or if I'm better off just getting rid of it.
My white tongue is covered with some milky film, changing size from full to half covered, sometimes showing red and white rings for few days, also sometimes I have a burning sensation on my tongue.....Also, I have a periodical sore throat with white patches on my throat back.
I have tried with NISTATINE drops, gel, tablets but no luck...
I actually sneezed about five or six times in a row at Walmart and it wasn't a big deal, didn't hurt, didn't really feel anything! LOL! It was just a sneeze.
I've had my tongue pierced twice, my eyebrow done, my naval and I have 8 holes in my ears. I don't have the body piercings anymore and most of my ear piercings have closed up. Your tongue really is NOT bad at all! It hurts briefly and then you just chew on ice for a long time and gargle saline.
So, do you still have the thrush in the mouth? If so you may try oral terbinafine. But it may just be that you have been on antibiotics for so long that it has disrupted your normal gut flora and it might be better to take probiotics if you are not on them. I would get the type that has 10 billion bacteria of each type such as lactobacillus and bifidobacteria and others and see if that helps. It may take a while for the normal flora to change back.
