I don't have a clue as why the doc said that. I do know I'm also on O2 24/7 and enjoy being in the sun very much. I take my portable O2 tank and go out when I can.

They believe I had bronchitis and aspirated during a coughing fit, which caused the complications. The pneumonia cough lingered a few weeks and then I began to have a different type of cough. It can be brought on by drinking ice water and I’ll cough until loose mucous is expelled. Also, mucous will accumulate in the throat when I’m sleeping until I wake up choking. Water isn’t the only time, but it will cause it every time.
About a month ago, I went swimming like I usually do, after about 2 laps I started breathing faster and faster and never seemed to get enough air, my chest felt really tight when I was breathing in. And that was the first time, I kept pushing myself and trying to swim, and then I started hyperventilating. I got out of the water about quality minutes after the hyperventilation.it was really bad but I managed to calm down.
I wasn't sure where to ask this question because there wasn't a category for walking pneumonia or upper respiratory infection , so here it goes anyway. Ok, so Last week on februrary the 2nd I got a sore throat, the next day I had a runny nose and felt like **** for a few days after that and then I developed a cough, I went to the doctor and he said I had upper respiratory infection (bronchitis)..
I have COPD and bullous emphysema. I have had pneumonia for several months. I have done levaquin, then 20 days of cefepime IV 3 times a day. I cleared up substantially. I am now taking an antibiotic called bactrim. I seems to be still hanging around, ie coughing up the yellow/light green sputum and tired. No temperature. Is the pneumonia ever going to go away?
I still suffer episodes of coughing which usually last a few hours, I usually cough up a very small amount of clear sputum but my chest often feels like it is congested and I still have a rattle in one lung, I also feel short of breath on occassions. My doctor recently prescribed me cymbicort, does this mean I have athsma? Could my symptoms be athsma and if so what tests should I ask my doctor in order to diagnose me.
I'm really sorry you keep getting pneumonia! I know it's horrible-but I'm only 13 and I usually get it 2-3 times per year. I don't have health insurance any more so I kind of have to fight it out on my own with left over antibiotics.
My only advice is to stay away from cardiac exercises and dairy. Try to be sitting/laying as often as you can. Usually when I have pneumonia and I stand up, I completely black out for about 30 seconds because I'm not getting enough oxygen.
So I have not gotten my period and I have been with a cold and throwing up flem and I went to the urgent care and was told I have Pneumonia .... yea i felt like crap all last week. I dont know what to do about my period... A friend told me that maybe I should get on the pill so that I can have it normal for a while and once I get off it will be easier for me to get pregnant. I did some research on some stuff that has been going on with me since I was a child and I strongly think I could be add/adhd. I know that I am no doctor and cannot diagnose myself but every time I bring up testing me for this my psychiatrist just kind of shrugs it off saying that it could be something else and while I do respect that she is more educated in this than me I also do not see the harm in a test.

It is, however, more of an uncomfortable breathing than shortness of breath, almost like someone is squeezing my lungs. Almost like I have to huff to get a good breathe. It has been constant now for the past 7 days. This isn't anything like I remember, it is also accompanied with severe upper back pain. Particularly on my right side underneath my shoulder blade. I've had anxiety attacks that have lasted days before but again not like this.
