Common Questions and Answers about Do i have adhd quiz

adhd

Avatar f tn I did some research on some stuff that has been going on with me since I was a child and I strongly think I could be add/adhd. I know that I am no doctor and cannot diagnose myself but every time I bring up testing me for this my psychiatrist just kind of shrugs it off saying that it could be something else and while I do respect that she is more educated in this than me I also do not see the harm in a test.
Avatar m tn i was just looking at some adhd symptoms and i have alot of them. Alot of times i find that in a conversation i dont even know what the conversation is about. people are talking and im in another world just saying yeah to whatever they say and i dont have a clue whats being said. even on this sight i have a hard time reading a paragraph that is too long cuz i get too bored with it to finish it. i pace the floors alot.
Avatar f tn I have been scouring the internet for hours now to find help. I have been with my boyfriend for 13 years. He has a 15 year old son. His son goes back and forth spending 1 week with his mother and 1 week with his father. When he first started school, I seemed to have been the only one making sure he did his homework, just like my own 3 kids. He had good grades and passed all his classes. That stopped when he reached high school.
Avatar m tn I'm 15 years old. In school I get distracted very easily. In spanish we had to do 5 questions everyone took like 5 minutes it took me about 20. I find it hard to sit still and it feels uncomfertable to sit still. My feet are always bouncing and I'm always doing something. I'm always talking to other people and distracting them but I can't help it. It's hard to pay attention. Do I have ADD/ADHD or anything? Or am I just crazy?
Avatar f tn Hi. I am 14 years old. For as long as I can remember I have always had to do something with my hands. Weather it's just playing with my hair tie or playing with my fingers. I am always doing something with my hands and sometimes I don't even notice it. Sometimes I just sit on my hands because I don't want to keep playing with stuff even though my hands want to. Is this ADD? And is there anything that I can do or should do to stop it? Or should I just leave it alone?
Avatar f tn Fourth, sometimes i see myself not being able to sit still i am contently moving my hands and feet even when I go to sleep I have to move my feet. I have taken many ADHD test before and some say i have it and some say i don't and sometimes i feel nervous to tell my parents about my results because i don't want them to feel like they have to worry about something huge, so i don't tell them.
Avatar f tn Hello. This is my first time here. Can an adult still be diagnosed with ADHD or ADD if they did well in school throughout their childhood, high school, and college? I had to study very hard but I did well (except for math & sciences) I have always thought I have ADD or ADHD because I have a hard time with jobs, following directions, concentrating, sitting still, etc. I never finish projects.
4280154 tn?1352148841 well im not talking to my father and he needs to pay doctor bill so they will not even accept me and my mom just thinks i am weird or that it is my add but i take meds for it and i can pay attention to things i just think i have turrets
Avatar n tn m 25 and turning 26 soon and for the last 4 or so years I have really been struggling with focusing and doing the everyday day to day task which should be fairly easy. I have my goals to where i would like to take my life but when it comes down to it i just cant seem to get anything done. When I was 7th grade and accouple times in high school my teachers asked my if i was on any meds like riddlin. I asked my parents about it and they were against the idea because of the side effect etc.
Avatar f tn However, if it is something like ADHD that is causing the problem (and I have seen that happen too), then solving it will take more effort - and I can also help with that (being the CL here - http://www.medhelp.org/forums/ADD---ADHD/show/175 Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn A lot of my family has said that I might have ADHD because I cannot sit still to save my life. I constantly have to be moving no matter what, If I sit still to long I become irritable and I freak out. I also have a very hard time paying attention to things and my mind jumps from one thing to the next. Anything that has caffeine in it makes me very tired and want to sleep. I am 16.
Avatar f tn I will be starting college soon and want to do well and think these would help me! What should I say to him? Should I tell him I tried them, I dont want my friend to get in trouble. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if this is because the problem is getting worse or just because i have more responsibilities than i used to.
Avatar f tn Yes - he has trouble focusing so we turn TV off etc. He can't do many in a row and he never seems to have any idea how to answer any questions. He is struggling through all of it - in the class and at home. I had him evaluated and he was deemed an 'exceptional case' to start having a program put in place - school wouldn't do anything without it. Different teacher as last year - thank goodness.
Avatar n tn Alrite, I am 15 and for the past couple of years I have come to realize that I think I have add, because I try as hard as I can to pay attention and class and I will then 10 mins later the randomest **** pops in my head and some days I just worry about all kinds of stuff and just alot of things distract me. I also forget where I put my stuff all the time, my phone, my wallet, and everything.
Avatar n tn i cant keep still for too long and im always forgeting things that litterally just happened or was said. i have been told by friends i might have adhd but i refuse to believe it. i cry for no reason at all but dont cry when normal people would. i don know if thats just me or if there is something truly wrong with me.
Avatar f tn ) I still try to be in a balcony or something. I do tend to have TVs loud or something, or my music, but I feel like it's alright because it's me and I can turn it back down when I feel like it. Teachers were always my friend, and I made a habit of trying to hang out with them rather than the classmates. The classmates teased me, the teachers thought I was smart and cute. Seemed like an obvious choice.
Avatar f tn My sister is diagnosed with PCOS, and I was just thinking about some symptoms/issues that I have and realized they match up with some of hers. I know that someone with PCOS is more likely to have a mom or sister with it as well.
Avatar m tn I can give you sites to check out the symptoms of ADHD to see what you may have or I can help. I also have some good sites for adults with ADHD that give ways to cope with it if it is what you do have. Hope some of this helps.
