242516 tn?1368223905 The flu has passed epidemic rates in much of the country, and if you don't have a cold, I'm sure you have a friend who has the sniffles, fever, chills, aches and pains of a viral upper respiratory infection. This is different from a bacterial infection such as sinusitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia. A viral infection doesn't improve with antibiotics as these infections do. A virus hijacks your own body's healthy cells and uses it to reproduce and spread.
Avatar f tn Does depression cause like extreme tiredness? What happens to me is I get up and I feel good but then as the day wears on I start thinking about depressing thoughts and then all of a sudden bam! I just get hit with this overwhelming fatigue. It doesn't even happen gradually. Is this normal?
1046985 tn?1305117048 Just a question about the tiredness????, I really am sleeping alot, sometimes 12hrs in one stretch. Is this normal?? I didn't sleep much for the week I was in hospital, as I couldn't relax properly, and my husband is making my life soooo easy regarding looking after my daughter and home duties. Should I be trying to push myself a little more, or just go with the flow of my body. I'm starting to feel a tad lazy.

1840402 tn?1355432565 Uti's can cause cramping and contractions as it irritates the uterus. The antibiotics are necessary! This usually goes away after the course of the treatment. If it persists, inform your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn I have been to every eye specialist in the past year, including Eye Surgeon, Ophthamologist, and Neurological specialists. The only diagnosis is possible blepharitis. My sight is so bad some days that I can't function at work. I can describe the symptom being like when your eyes are dialated with drops before an eye exam, except that they are like that most of the time. I have blurry vision. Some days I wake up and it is bad and some days it is fine.
317787 tn?1473358451 Some antibiotics can cause allergic reactions while others can cause direct damage to their liver, which can be quite severe in patients with chronic liver disease. For patients with a pre-existing liver disorder, the detoxification function of the liver is already compromised and substances that would normally be metabolized could actually accumulate in the liver or in the bloodstream.
