Avatar n tn I'm in my second trimester and keep feeling dizzy and lightheaded. I have fairly low blood pressure to begin with (I was very active pre-pregnancy) and usually sits at 93/60ish. Is there anyone experiencing the same thing? How did you help it?
Avatar n tn d say its normal, but I have felt like that throughout my entire pregnancy so far. I am 13 weeks today and my heart will start beating really fast, my eyes will start seeing black dots and I feel extremely light headed. I actually found out I was pregnant after fainting in my kitchen table while I was eating lunch. My doctor doesn't seem very concerned, but I definitely have been. So whenever I start to feel like that I sit down right away, drink water and relax for awhile.
Avatar n tn I feel as though Im standing in a small boat in the middle of the ocean and the waves are rocking me and am trying to catch myself. I also feel like im going to faint or pass out after i walk for a few minutes. Walking makes my dizziness worse and makes me feel like im going to faint. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have experienced this. In my first pregnancy it was so bad I ended up in the ER a few times. Turns out I was anemic. I would definitely talk to your Dr about it before you actually faint, I did a few times.

I also get frequent dizzy and fainting spells, and have had problems managing my sugar and salt intake for a while. It's like my body is use to a certain level of sugar, and when it goes too long without that amount, my body crashes. I am 6 months pregnant, and this is my second child. I had 9 miscarriages before I was able to hold my first daughter.
Avatar n tn Last night I was standin in the kitchen having a cup of tea and chatting to a friend when all of a sudden I felt really tired and incredibly nauseas, my ears started ringing like i was going deaf. The room got narrow and darker and i felt like i was getting really dizziness accompanied by a sharp stabbing headache...all i could get out was 'Im really feeling sick' and i needed to lay down immediately because i felt like i was either going to puke or pass out.
Avatar n tn also the heat from the shower and or dehydration, and high blood pressure (or way to low blood pressure) and a sudden rise or drop in blood sugar can all cause dizziness/fainting. I would at least call your doctor and let them know what happened even if you arent going to the e.r.

Avatar n tn My biggest concern is the dizziness and fainting and incredible fatigue. The fatigue has gotten worse over the years but my sleep apnea is managed well with CPAP and nothing else ever seemed wrong physically so I have just dealt with it by making sure I get plenty of rest and strictly pacing my activity level. My sense is something is not right but none of the tests seem all that unusual. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what might be up with this?
Avatar n tn You can ask for ambulatory (24 hour) blood pressure monitoring as a test for this, or you can get your own cuff at home and check up on your blood pressures before, during, and after meals and show your doctor if you do indeed have a drop in blood pressure that correlates with your dizziness and fainting spells after eating. If you are having syncope at times other than just after eating, tilt table testing may also be warranted.
Avatar f tn Hey I'm 6 weeks and have been feeling really horrible lately. Nothing makes it better, not eating, not drinking water, nothing. I feel extremely dizzy standing up and laying down, nauseous, and I have cramping almost like I'm going to start my period. Is the extreme dizziness and cramping normal?
Avatar n tn Today it happened in a long line at the store, I was waiting about 10 minutes in line and I started getting woozy and weak and my vision started to black out. I made it to a chair and fanned myself for a few minutes and it took a while to go away. Is this normal? I've heard of the dizziness being common, but my vision really starts to turn black and I get light headed. Both times I have had plenty of fluids and protien in my system so its not that.
938718 tn?1323783514 Hi all, I was just sitting at my computer and I felt a funny feeling in my stomach and then I felt a whoosh rise up through my head -- I was about to pass out! I threw myself to the ground and it abated, but also the other day I felt nauseous. I had my baby three months ago and am breastfeeding and pumping -- could this be the cause? I don't think I could be pregnant again -- I'm 42 and I'm breastfeeding. Maybe I'm just overdoing it?

Avatar n tn This is my first pregnancy, I am a little worried on how I feel, dizziness, possible fainting if I don't lay or sit down Right away.
Avatar f tn Dizziness can be caused by many things during pregnancy. You may not be taking in enough fluids (not just water, you need sodium/electrolytes too). Also as you get further along the weight of your expanding midsection places pressure on your lower half, this can decrease venous blood return from you legs and can lead to dizziness/fainting if standing for too long.
Avatar n tn s disease), low blood sugar levels, and in some cases, diabetes, may lead to hypotension and hence lightheadedness and an off balance feeling. Certain types of epilepsies and seizures too can cause similar symptoms. If you have an accompanying headache then you must also look at benign intracranial hypertension. Heart problems too should be ruled out in your case. If all other tests are normal, maybe an ECHO should be done to rule out mitral valve prolapse.
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
Avatar m tn The numbness slowly crawled up both my arms, as that was happening i could feel myself getting light headed and nauseous again. My mom looked at me and said i was turning ghost white and before i could respond my vision went and and the next thing i know I'm waking up on the floor. Everyone was freaked out, they said i was out for about 4 seconds. Once i came to after those four seconds, I could not stand on my own two feet, i couldnt even open my eyes this time.

Avatar f tn Thanks ladies, nothing but cold showers from now on. lol I was looking up dizziness/fainting through one of my pregnancy books and it said standing in place and taking a hot shower causes blood to pool in the legs and makes you dizzy. My next shower will be cold and I will make sure I run in place to keep the blood moving.
