10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar n tn My biggest concern is the dizziness and fainting and incredible fatigue. The fatigue has gotten worse over the years but my sleep apnea is managed well with CPAP and nothing else ever seemed wrong physically so I have just dealt with it by making sure I get plenty of rest and strictly pacing my activity level. My sense is something is not right but none of the tests seem all that unusual. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what might be up with this?
Avatar f tn Im experiencing dizziness too and my Dr said its normal during pregnancy. It seems that my blood pressure drops when I get up suddenly. Also if I wait too long to eat I get dizzy. Dr recommended getting up slowly staying hydrated and eating small meals through out the day instead of 3 big meals.
Avatar n tn I had this with my second, you just need to be sure you drink plenty of water and have a couple more snacks a day to keep your blood sugars Up :)
Avatar f tn Hey I'm 6 weeks and have been feeling really horrible lately. Nothing makes it better, not eating, not drinking water, nothing. I feel extremely dizzy standing up and laying down, nauseous, and I have cramping almost like I'm going to start my period. Is the extreme dizziness and cramping normal?
Avatar n tn Select Dizziness as a symptom in the Pregnancy Diary, and then close out and hit Done. Then click the menu bar on the upper left of the home screen and select Symptoms Manual to see the entry. Or just copy/paste or click this link to see online at MedHelp.org. Hope you feel better soon! http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn You can ask for ambulatory (24 hour) blood pressure monitoring as a test for this, or you can get your own cuff at home and check up on your blood pressures before, during, and after meals and show your doctor if you do indeed have a drop in blood pressure that correlates with your dizziness and fainting spells after eating. If you are having syncope at times other than just after eating, tilt table testing may also be warranted.
Avatar n tn I also have anxiety problems and adult add. I am on lexapro and take adderrall during the school year. I went to the ER again a few days later because I was feeling the same signs of when I fainted, like uncomfortable tingling in my arms and chest area, as well as kind of dizzy, and very panic-like. It turns out, it had nothing to with my heart or blood pressure, I was just really wound up and it really effected me, but I felt like something was physically and medically wrong.
Avatar f tn I have ADHd, Bipolar, Depression, PTSD, OCD,anxiety and panic disorder and Social anxiety disorder. I also get frequent dizzy and fainting spells, and have had problems managing my sugar and salt intake for a while. It's like my body is use to a certain level of sugar, and when it goes too long without that amount, my body crashes. I am 6 months pregnant, and this is my second child. I had 9 miscarriages before I was able to hold my first daughter.
Avatar n tn I have fairly low blood pressure to begin with (I was very active pre-pregnancy) and usually sits at 93/60ish. Is there anyone experiencing the same thing? How did you help it?
Avatar f tn It happened to me alot during my second trimester. Stay hydrated and rest. It should pass. If not, make sure to let your doctor know.
Avatar n tn d say its normal, but I have felt like that throughout my entire pregnancy so far. I am 13 weeks today and my heart will start beating really fast, my eyes will start seeing black dots and I feel extremely light headed. I actually found out I was pregnant after fainting in my kitchen table while I was eating lunch. My doctor doesn't seem very concerned, but I definitely have been. So whenever I start to feel like that I sit down right away, drink water and relax for awhile.
Avatar n tn There are many causes for one to just pass out, low blood sugar, epilepsy and dehydration are just a few. Pay attention and remember if you had a headache, dizziness or heart palpitations just prior to passing out, this can help your doctor diagnose the problem. Since this is the first time you've done this when not seeing blood or needles, you should contact your doctor and see what he has to say. Hope this helps and take care.
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
Avatar n tn I had my ears checked and they said its normal. I went to my cardiologist and they did a stress test, EKG and those were normal. I just did a holter monitor for 24 hours and have yet to get the results. I feel more dizzy when i stand and walk. Its worse after a meal and at night. Its worse when i close my eyes. I feel as though Im standing in a small boat in the middle of the ocean and the waves are rocking me and am trying to catch myself.
126762 tn?1325261805 Low blood pressure, low blood sugar, lack of protein, dehydration are all likely culprits. Fainting is quite common during pregnancy but is something she should mention to her doctor.
Avatar f tn Someone tried to sit me up, and I was immediately dizzy again so I laid back down until the dizziness passed. This all happened very quickly and afterwords I just felt a little weak. I drank down a bottle of water and sucked on some sunflower seeds and rejoined my team after about 5 minutes. I was fine again for the rest of the day. Could this be something serious or is it just because I haven't done any serious exercise in the past 5 years?
1521115 tn?1305267562 Had a chemical stress ecg yesterday and lost consciousness. Had to have drugs to reverse the effects of the initial drug. I had also had contrast drugs. Still feeling crap today with chest pain and dizziness. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn I've had arrhythmia's & dizziness/fainting that went undiagnosed from age 9 to age 42, many dr's said it was "nothing" and don't worry about it or it was stress related. I had a TTT and found my dizziness, lightheadedness & fainting were cardiac related and my heart was actually stopping during my fainting spells, which is a very rare thing.
Avatar f tn Do you any of you mommas experience Dizziness? Even if I am sitting down and not moving I feel like the room is spinning. I am on baby #3 and never experienced this with the other two little ones. TIA!
Avatar n tn This is my third pregnancy and I've had fainting spells with my previous two nor while not pregnant. However, recently, I started to blacked out and sat myself quickly to the floor so i wouldn't hit hard and slowly began to recover. I didn't completely faint but did lose control and was sweaty on my neck even in air conditioning during the episode. It was a different feeling from being light headed or dizzy(i have experienced those but not this pregnancy) and scared me to death.
903566 tn?1242216002 I'm sixteen years old as of March this year, and I've never had regular or painless periods. Mine usually last up to a week or eight days, very heavy flow, with unbearable cramping the whole way through. A few months ago, my period hit, and I was okay, but the second day I got up in class and asked to go to the bathroom. I must have looked really upset because that teacher never lets me leave the class. I begged pills off my friend in another class and took them.
Avatar f tn If transient cerebral ischemia or fainting occuring during the day may result in some very terrible dizziness, palpitations, feelings of chest pressure, dim vision, tinnitus and a variety of neurological symptoms.
