Other than the fact the yard cheated on me with a icky stripper.. things wont be there same. But I'm willing to try. I've got the divorce papers filled out, I just need him to agree to sign them, because I would like to file them as jointly because I heard it goes more smoothly than filing single. What would be the best most calm way to approach him to sign the papers as joint. I was thinking about having my parents and his sit down with us to have him sign them. To keep a calm environment. Since I'm afraid he'll lash out and refuse to sign the papers or tear them up.

Well if you do decide to tell her then just prepare yourself for the worst on his family's part...that way it should be no surprise. At least you know when she's with her grandma she is at least safe. I just went through this in WI. I had filled papers last February for a divorce. He and his lawyer dragged it out. In December I found out I was pregnant with my boyfriends that lived with me. My judge ordered a guardian ad lietam and all three of us had to testify at the trial to who the father of the child was. However the judge could have ordered a DNA test to be done because the child was presumed my ex husband's by law.

You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc. but do yourself a favor and when they set child support immediately go to your child support office and have all checks go through state that way he and you is protected.

My lawyer wrote up the settlement and cleverly noted that I'm pregnant ...not with his child and in a way that my ex won't know that I'm expecting. It took him about a year of fighting to convice her to give him the divorce papers. However he got married in Nevada his ex is there along with his two kids he had with her.
