– Nearly three years after a gunman walked into a packed movie theater and opened fire, killing 12 and injuring 70 others, an Arapahoe
County jury on Thursday convicted the Aurora theater shooter of 165 counts — including 24 counts first-degree murder — a verdict that could lead to the death penalty.
The nine-woman, three-man jury returned the verdict after 13 hours of deliberations, which began Wednesday at the Arapahoe County Justice Center.
