This is a good time to ask again - What does your MS disease modifying treatment (DMT or DMD) cost? I am on Tysabri and I looked at the numbers - My insurance company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, was charged $5,829.48 for my monthly infusion in December 2013. At the beginning of 2013, that cost was 'only' $3,901.90 . That is a crazy price increase in just 12 months.

I would be pregnant already, but im so worried about hospital costs etc. I think I can afford the baby after birth. I dont really have anyone who can give me some rough figures, so please, if there is anyone out there living in gauteng who could give some guide lines. I would really appreciate it. I do not have a medical aid.

Just thought I would let you all know for future reference if there are any sufferers in NZ, that I saw Dr Andrew Law yesterday, and found him to be excellent in every way. He has a good understanding of Chiari, Syrinx, Spina Bifida, amongst other things and was very helpful to me. He's very experienced (I did some homework!) and a really down to earth guy who takes a patient seriously.

My daughter and her hubby are getting a divorce. In this state you gotta come up with 2600.00 minimum to get a divorce attorney. Is it like this all over?

And what different types of fretility meds are out there i have heard of so many but also heard some can be bad for you. Any info would help alot. Thanks!!

He lives on the Gold Coast, Australia, Im in NZ and want to know what to suggest. He will try get a doctors apt but its kinda urgent and being a new NZ person working in Aust, it may cost him hundreds of $ to even see a doctor…can he get a treatment over the counter in Aust?

I am unsure if the NZ tests are duo's as such and many NZ medical professionals seem to think you need to wait 4 weeks but I rang a lab pathologist and he said the blood tests do have a p24 antigen component. 1. Do you know what tests NZ uses? 2. I am concerned because I had a stomach illness starting two days before I had the test, until a couple of days after. If this was ARS, would the antigen, or the antibody tests show positive??

My granddaughter (10) has just been diagnosed with SVT. (No treatment as yet). She was due to fly to the UK from NZ for Xmas to stay with her Dad. Her Mum NZ resident now says she can't fly. Is SVT a bar to flying in children? Other than these two episodes she is well and no other known underlying medical conditions. She would be flying with me and I am a registered nurse.

) I Still have not seen a cardiologist as these things take time over here in the big NZ to get things done! I have been to ED 3 times butt they say all i can do is wait for the appointment! I have worn a 24hr telemetry and they have said there is nothing to worry about and also have had 4 ECG as well and they were all clear! Doctors here in NZ dish out tramadol like lollies 'instead' of opiates. Reading the posts here I am shocked to see it's just as nasty as coming off opiates...if not worse! I wonder when NZ will realise this...?

During an argument with my husband he said he will move out of state and not be in my child's life. I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I have recently calmly asked him if he meant it and he said yes. He does not want drama and thinks that I will turn our child against him. Girl we never know a man until we marry him. That's all I can say. If I could I would totally divorce my husband but the way we right we would be tangled up in court forever . I'd take a minute to think on it and maybe even present it to your husband that hey, motherfricker, you are about to push me into a divorce. I told my husband I wanted a divorce and since then he's been on his best behavior.
