I do know you are eligible for Cobra (36 months I think) under his insurance at work. It is expensive but you would get a rate given to all their employees ..better than nothing. If he makes the big $$$$ and you have been married more than ten years, it is possible that he could be made to pay for the Cobra. Ask your lawyer about it.
I need to share my story and hopefully get some suggestions and support and wisdom out there. I recently turned 50. I my early 40's I suffered a series of losses in a short period of time - lost my dad, my mom, best friend from college, my sister had three brain tumors (3 separate operations and survived) my father in law, miscarriage, financial, etc. I never grieved all these losses, just pushed it inside so I could function. I wound up drinking to get thru the pain and became alcoholic.
During an argument with my husband he said he will move out of state and not be in my child's life. I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I have recently calmly asked him if he meant it and he said yes. He does not want drama and thinks that I will turn our child against him. That is a complete lie I have never once said anything degrading humiliating or hurtful about my husband to anyone no matter how angry I was or hurt.
When my son was born in 2012, I fought for his sperm donor to pay child support. A year later he was summoned to pay it but has not made the first payment. He is a dead beat who has no job and lives with his mom and dad and he is 30 something years old. We got married when I was 18 and while I was pregnant I left him because I was scared for my son's safety because needless to say he couldn't keep his hands to himself.
He soild his underpants and then wiped it on the sofa, my question is- is this possibly related to the divorce or mabey something more??? Please help!!!!
i wish i had someone has anyone watched the show intervention man i just want to shake my family and ask why the hell they havent loved me enough to notice everyone says things but they are all too afraid because they think they are responsible anyway i never have had anyone take care of me and through the years ive been at points in my life that were truly defining and i'm at that point once again ive left the man that broke me down for years and am once again ready to turn my life around
It has been about 10 months now and I still get over the eevnts )seperation/divorce and all the ramifications that go along with it. I never wanted this and being the recipient of the divorce makes it so much harder. I am deperessed and lack confidence. It doesn't seem to get better, I try to trick myself sometimes, but it doesn't always work. The bottom line is that I still love my wife (ex) very much.
That's good to hear that he is paying child support, so that can't be an issue holding up the divorce then. Maybe the alimony situation is unresolved?
I don't understand how you think if he can't see or talk to his kids now, that that will change after the divorce? Maybe your fiancé needs to put that inn order in the divorce, that he have visitation rights to his children, that's if he wants to keep up a good relationship with them.
m going through a much needed divorce, it should be final in September when I get my divorce decree. The DF and I are living here in Iowa as of now, but as soon as my divorce is final I am wanting to move back home to Michigan. However moving costs a lot of money these days, especially when moving out of state. I don't know what would be best for my family at this point.
t work and she is the bread winner and in the past i used drugs to hide my pain and my pride. I only straighten up when she threatens divorce. Then I see what I have done. I ask her to point it out to me and she's tired of doing that. She doesn't have a life.

Biological kids let alone someone's elses .. I know for a fact that i can put whatever last name i want on the certificate but as long as having my bf name there not so sure , i think i can refuse to give any information about my ex and refuse to have him in the certificate ...
The consult usually costs about $250. If her husband was the bread winner an attorney can file for some support until the divorce is final. Also will be able to tell her if they can make the husband pay her attorney fees. It would probably be worth it just to get some initial advise. When children are involved it's almost impossible to do it without legal advise.
Find someone to talk to for one, a support group for one, there are many churches that have support groups that help someone who is taking care of an elderly or ill parent, plus they have support groups for people who are going through divorce, seek out these groups, it will make it easier on you being about to talk to people in simular situations. I will pray for you and your family.
I have a 13 month old and me and my bf are kind of all each other have as far as friends go. I went through a divorce a few years ago and everyone we knew together took his side so i dont talk to or see anyone anymore. Lately I've been craving company that isnt my bf or his mom or my daughter but its so hard to meet new people and make friends. Anyone else in this situation? How did you make / meet new friends?
Why were you both together with your parents and pastor? Was this a crisis counseling session? Can you schedule a meeting with your pastor (if you are in counseling with him) to get his/her impressions?
What does he mean "you don't bring anything to the table"? Is that his way of saying you aren't making any money?
There are some typos in your post that make it a little hard to understand what you are saying - are your parents wanting you to divorce him?
My husband and i are going through a divorce.. im due in 3 weeks. My family is furious with him for what he has put me and our 6 yr old through. He called me today asking when the baby is born if he could come see her. I told him i would let him know when my family leaves the hospital.. if he shows up with my family there it wont be pretty. He is furious with me that i wont let him in the delivery room. He drained our checking and savings.. living with another woman.. hasnt given us a dime ..
