Idk what the laws are where you are but here in KY you can not file for divorce until the child is born. You can file for legal separation but that is it. I would go ahead and call a lawyers and see what the rules are in your area. You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc.

Here in ky they won't even allow you to get a divorce if you are pregnant, but I would call up another lawyer and see what they say. And if they say it isn't mandatory then maybe having someone else go with you will work. BUT if you are already like 20 weeks then by the time your court date gets here you are going to be super pregnant or have a newborn so he is going to know anyway.

I'm sorry you're dealing with that btw, I've been through it, it's incredibly hard to begin with let alone adding pregnancy

I am 34 weeks as of tomorrow and my mother in law and sister in law are driving me insane! I live in illinois, so far in illinois the ky border is only a 10minute drive. The closest hospitals are in kentucky both have birthing centers but neither of them take illinois medical care so i couldnt go to them, the hospital i am going to is an hour and ten minute drive from my house.
