Hello, sorry to hear your pain. I'm going thru the same thing. I've been having discomfort on my left lower back, it comes and goes. I had an CT Scan and nothing came out. The only thing is I have trace of blood on my urine. Today i went to an urgent care and still found trace of blood, but this time it was less then the other 3 visits. Also, i found debri or crystals in my urine which dissolved like sand.
i am used to the pain and can deal with it, what scares me is the kidney pain. normally i dont get kidney pain with the stones. i had to have only one stone removed surgically, it was stuck in the lining of my urethra, total pain on that episode before and after! Does anyone have any knowledge on preventing calcium oxalate stones that i havent tried already? i cant take diuretics because of a sulfa allergy, the potassium citrate does nothing, and i have slowed down on tea and cheese.

Stone is not calcium so no lithotripsy - it did not show up at all on the x-ray. Said my PH is pretty high, 8.6 which is good for dissolving uric acid stones. So for right now, said we really need to wait and see.

I am out of tums :( but i found that completely dissolving 1 tsp in 8 oz of water helps! I only drank 1/2 of it because the box said only take 1/2 tsp every 2 hours in 4 oz of water but it got rid of my heartburn! :) make sure you completely dissolve it!! It doesnt taste the best!

The prostate stones are usually asymptomatic and in case they are symptomatic like they produce any pain or are associated with any infection, the only remedy is the surgical removal. There are no medications to get rid of the stones. Please consult a urologist for the same.

My husband has a history of kidney stones (like his father who has suffered with them for over 30 years). This time however, he didn't experience the pain in his side, back or abdomen. You may have something else instead of an infection. Kidney stones can cause the same kinds of symptoms, as can other problems anywhere in the urinary tract including the kidneys. Please don't wait any longer and just make that appointment with your doctor!
Has anyone had kidney stones during your pregnancy and what did the pain feel like. I went to the hospital earlier and was sent home and told I was just experiencing round lig pain but I'm a bit skeptical of that verdict because it lasted for hours and the pain was so intense. I didn't test positive for a uti either but idk what to think. I dont have bloody urine but i swear i peed out something resembling a small pebble earlier too.
s been 2 days since I was discharged from the hospital after a week of suffering from kidney stones and ended up having to under go a procedure where they placed a tube in my kidneys and now I have a bag attached to my side until after I deliver. I've never felt so much discomfort and pain. It's hard for me to do anything I can't even shower properly.
I have had half a dozen kidney stones in the last year or so. This definitely sounds like it could be a stone. The pain generally happens as the stone goes into the ureter and travels to the bladder. Once in the bladder, it doesn't usually hurt too much but may cause frequent urination, etc. If you don't have anymore pain, i would just strain your urine for awhile and wait to pass the stone. If you have more pain, you can go to the ER and have a scan done.
This past friday at 1:20am I was rushed to the ER from sudden back pain that was unbearable I was so scared for my baby.. Came to the conclusion it's kidney stones and I became more terrified because there's not many pain killers they could give me other than tylenol and morphine, so about the last one I asked if it was ok for my baby, first they said not sure!!
Hi and WELCOME to our Kidney Stone Community. I'm not a doctor, but do have too much experience with kidney stones. For me, I'd get pings and pangs in my kidney as well as microhematuria (blood you cannot see by eye) in my urine when I have stones. I've also had the flank pain you describe .. for me it's been in the lower back. I hope with lots of water your stones move out for you uneveventfully.
