However, I have trouble sleeping, dry skin/hair, loosing hair, early menopause, fuzzy thinking, headaches(migraines), fatigue, increased difficulty losing weight, muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches(on meds for arthritis), irritability etc. All seem to be symptome of hypothyroidism, yet my endo will not even try a low dose synthroid. I am taking Diovan HCT and the few things I have read, say it can skew the results. I am at my wits end in trying to feel better.

My central heart wall is 17mm and my outside wall is 15mm. I have just started taking diovan 320 mg along with atenelol 50 mg . Will the diovan help reduce the thickness of my heart walls over time ?

I was slowly weened off Toprol xl and Diovan - about 8 months ago - and put on ccb -verapamil and dieretic maxzide iv been on them for about 4 months - and have been having problems, such as ankles swelling. and closeing throat when eatting! as well bloating belly conditions. over the past month iv noticed my face is always red in color. and my left eye has been twitching off and on.. I seem to dehydrate rapid and cant hydrate fast enough - even when I cutt down on the dieretic med.

The only thing that looks wrong is my Ejection Fraction (35-40) moderate global systolic dysfunction, concentric left ventricular remodeling. Abnormal insertion of ahigh septal papillary muscle in some view. All the MUGA says is EF: 38 , Upper normal LV size with moderate global hypokinesis. The doctor put me on Diovan which has brought my BP into normal range. So do I just have hypertension?

Getting cramps in ribs and toes. Potassium is 2.5 to 2.8 with taking 20 mq pot chl x 3 daily. Seems I either have muscle cramps or swelling. Can hypertrophy reverse if I stay on meds long enough? Thanks.

hi all i have do two hart valve replacement when i was 18 , i was fine now and now i am 35 , in 2013 i checked my EF it was 44% so it still ok for someone with my condition in 2015 i check it agin and it is now 28% , my doctor give my Co-Diovan half pill every day , and ask to check after 6 month but he didn't look good when talking to me. now i am very stressed , i have 3 kids and i want to improve my EF can any one let me know what i can do ? appreciate anyone input.

Both of my entire legs and feet were twitching and rippling about a 1000 times a minute which resulted in severe muscle cramps. I cannot stop this no matter what I try and happens about once a week. I have been reading about neuromuscular problems hoping to figure out where I can go for help. My GP says he has no idea what to do for me other than referring me to U of M neurologists. Do you have any suggestions where to start looking for answers?

my dad had a triple bypass last apr 21. last saturday, jul 4/2009 he started on diovan 160/12.5 (from corvesy+) and since Sat he's been experiencing chest pains that is not going away. is this a side effect? is he allergic to the this new med he's taking or is this angina? should he get himself to an ER?

They usually hit me 2 or 3 times a night and when I wake in the morning time, I am soar all over from muscle fatigue. I have had mri and ct of the brain, neck and abdominal and chest areas, all kinds of blood work, colonoscopy and everything comes back normal. The only thing the ct showed was a hemangioma on my L2 vertebrae. I am on diovan hct for blood pressure and simvastatin for cholesterol. My vision has even changed a little bit in my right eye.

I'm am a very fit 20 year old male. I work out a lot I do I lot of running and I eat fairly healthy. However I play football/ soccer (I'm from England) and a game of football is 90 minutes long and I can never last the full 90 minutes because I get server muscle cramps around 70 minutes. I have also heard, and I don't usually sway people in this direction on MedHelp, but Opiates, such as Oxycontin, are very helpful for your condition. Muscle cramps are related to the duration of cirrhosis and the severity of liver damage.The exact reason for leg cramps is unknown. More study must be done in this area before we have a real solution for at least most sufferers. It's cause is probably multiple factors. So there is no one effective treatment for cramps.

I opted for the RAI (3 months ago) and I take cozaar (6 months now) and in these last 3 weeks I am suffering from muscle fatigue, muscle cramps if I stretch them too quickly or exercise them. Could the cozaar be causing the problem or is the disease the problem or both?

m not sure if this will help, but I know that eating bananas helps with muscle cramps. It has something to do with the potassium. Maybe try stretching, hot baths or relaxation techniques. Good luck!

A stress test 3 yrs ago showed no heart muscle damage. I am over weight..I am om synthyroid..simvastin..diovan..Omeprozole..iron..and I take tylenol for arthritic pain( about 2000mg qd. I am not under excessive stress. That said do I need to have any studies done?

I am also taking diovan 80.12.5 once a day. I would like to get off this medication as it is making me very sluggish and tired all the time. How do I wean off this medicine as I am only taking it for one month.

My question is could this be the result of the CVID? My PP reduced my Diovan HCL 160 to Diovan 80 to see if that was the problem. Should I be concerned?

I'm a 64 yrs. old woman who used to take Diovan 320 mg. & Toprol 50 mg. for my B.P. My B.P. readings was okay but my Doctor discontinued the Toprol because my heart rate usually on the 40's. I am currently taking Norvasc 5mg. with the Diovan 320 mg. So far, my B.P. readings is very good, 110/70. But eversince I started the Norvasc, my left leg is swelling and it is becoming worst. I'd like to ask my Doctor to discontinue the Norvasc.

I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. After a while, I started feeling dizzy or light headed and We decided to cut down diovan to 80 mg. the dizziness went away for a few monts then it came back and was getting worse. I made a big mistake of stopping the Diovan all together.
