I felt a slight numb feeling on right side of my body even before visitng the doctor but the experience of numbness is only once or twice a day. Numbness is not predominent and it is mild and I can feel all my senses. My ear was blocked and I had intermittent ear pain which is better now after using Deborax. Should I do a MRI to rule out Brain Tumor? or TIA/Stroke? Confused and waiting.......

Hi! My name is Melinda...I have beeen experiencing numbness of my left leg and arm and sometimes left butt for almost 3 years now but it come and go. I specially feel it at night time when i go to bed. But today i feel the numbness even in the morning. I have been to a neurologist twicw and they always get negative results on my tests. I'm taking Lovaza for my triglyceride, zoror for my cholesterol and diovan for my maintenance. Do you know of any sickness related to this symptom?

I know I have experienced it intermittently numbness, pain, burning and tingling mainly in my toes for about the last 5-6 years. I have had thyroid disease for about 8 years that I know of. I'm not a diabetic. I was surprised when I discovered a article connecting this Neuropathy to the thyroid. Just wondering if anyone else can relate to this and add any info to the condition? I'm not sure why I experience this sometimes for many many weeks then it goes away. Anyone?

I am taking 160 mg Diovan for high blood pressure, as well as 20 mg Levostatin for high cholesterol. I believe that I have ed caused by the Diovan. Is it safe to take ed drugs as well?

3 months ago I was at 230lbs, and I would always get these pains in my chest and my heart would beat fast. Current weight 207lbs. Cardiologist said I have too many extra beats and put me on Atenolol on Tuesday. But he doesn't know about my history of HBP from my family doctor. My BP had always been high since last year. Untill now my Family doctor put me on Diovan 80mg plus Cardiologist put me on Atenolol 50mg. Can High Blood pressure cause PVC's?

I had taken Toprolol when much younger and in normal sinus rhythm (then it too was 50mg SR) and it had no side effects that I can recall, I was still running for exercise. You might want to discuss using a calcium channel blocker to lower blood pressure. In all my comments are made with no knowledge of "diovan" and its side-effects. Good luck in finding a way to keep the BP normal, that is an important issue.

I am taking Amlodipine (Norvasc) 5mg and occasionally my legs and ankles (on both legs and never the leg itself) will swell to the point that my shoes will no longer fit, but the the swelling will go down for a while (a week, two weeks perhaps) until it happens again.

Part 1: I am a 54 year old male. I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. After a while, I started feeling dizzy or light headed and We decided to cut down diovan to 80 mg. the dizziness went away for a few monts then it came back and was getting worse. I was slowly weened off Toprol xl and Diovan - about 8 months ago - and put on ccb -verapamil and dieretic maxzide iv been on them for about 4 months - and have been having problems, such as ankles swelling. and closeing throat when eatting! as well bloating belly conditions. over the past month iv noticed my face is always red in color. and my left eye has been twitching off and on.. For three weeks of consistently avoiding gluten the BP has stayed in the healthy range. I diminished the Diovan HCT to nothing and plan in August after more walking and careful diet to have another fasting blood sugar done since I am hoping the high reading was due to the hydroclorothiazine and not belly fat, obesity and a family history of type 2 diabetes. i have a history of mitral valve stenosis - rheumatic fever in childhood -- no changes in EKG, echo, carotid doplers MRI, etc - should i be concerned regarding nocturnal tachycardia -- am on toprol twice a day, diovan, and simvastatin, premarin, metroprolol, saw cardiologist in Dec -- diovan was added because bp was slightly elevated -- just started the night tachycardia -- wakes me up and then I fall right back to sleep before I can even check my pulse rate -- should I contact him?

8 I have high bloodpressure and have been on Diovan for 2 months . But My Dr. is giving me Toprol and Zocor too while I wait to see the ENDO . This was very unexpected, but I guess the best surprises are! I have been taking Diovan (blood pressure med) up until this point and just read that it should not be taken when pregnant. I am about 6 weeks along. What effect will this have on my baby up to this point? This has me very worried!

They usually hit me 2 or 3 times a night and when I wake in the morning time, I am soar all over from muscle fatigue. I have had mri and ct of the brain, neck and abdominal and chest areas, all kinds of blood work, colonoscopy and everything comes back normal. The only thing the ct showed was a hemangioma on my L2 vertebrae. I am on diovan hct for blood pressure and simvastatin for cholesterol. My vision has even changed a little bit in my right eye.

In my opinion, experience and search Coreg is the best and main medication (with other pills) if you have low EF. Up until the EF improves like a year or more good to be on Coreg. If your doctor says not for you, ask him to explain why?
