diltiazem cd dosage

Two weeks ago my Cardio doctor changed my medication from Cardizem LA to Diltiazem CD. I know it's the generic brand of Cardizem. Anyway he raised my dosage from 240 mg. to 300 mg. For a whole week I had some terrible side effects. I blacked out once while sitting at my computer and then I came close to blacking out on a daily basis. I also felt off balance. I ended up going to my primary doctor, not for this, but for something else. I guess it was a follow up appointment.

Good Day, I would like to ask how long have u taken both the Metoprolol &amp; Norvasc? I was prescribed by my Internist recently Norvasc 2.5 mg with Metoprolol 25 mg. I used to take Metoprolol with Diltiazem CD 120mg 2X /day for almost 2 months but noticed a &quot;burning chest pain&quot; with Diltiazem that&#39;s why I stopped using it. But now I&#39;m afraid to take Norvasc, too.

took me off of Atentonol because of the blood pressure problems or the fact that it may make the spasms in my heart worse. Can somone explain this to me?He allso put me on a new med called Diltiazem CD. HCL SR capsule, 180 mg. What can you tell me about this med, and what side effects are most common with it's use? My dr. wouldn't tell me all of it's side effects, acutally none of them, because he said he did not want to scare me?????

Ok. I went to the specialist and had a u/s she said that I had lots of follicles with eggs but they are not large enough. I'm on cd 10. She said that we are going to increase the femara to 7.5mg to take on cd 3-7 because the 2.5mg was not doing anything. I am on 1500 mg metformin do you think I should have asked her if that needed to be increased also? She told me that I may need to be on the increased femara and get a HCG trigger shot. Am I ovulating or am I just getting a period?

I have been on Diltiazem for over 45 day's. And have tken Verapamil for over 4 years, I just can't believe their is nothing to do for this ever day i have between 10 to 100. Lately it is getting worse I feel like the one that isn't going to stop is going to happen real soon.

and 400mg. vitamin E and wear a nitro patch at night for 14 hrs. and take nitro when needed. and diltiazem cd 120mg. once a day. I am supposed to call him in 3 weeks and see how I am doing, he also took blood work for thyroid and anemia. hopeful at some point they can get to the bottom of this. I at least have a little better outlook. I will keep everyone posted.

Calcium channel blockers which he says also help to prevent spasm, IF that is my problem. He has given me diltiazem 60mg x 3 a day. Has anyone else here taken such medication? It says the side effects of these can also be headaches but he assures me that this is very rare. He also said if I get to the point of feeling so dizzy that I may faint, I should get straight to the hospital. Review in 2 weeks to see how they are working. Blood pressure today was 150/96.

i take flecainide 100mg/50mg/100mg, this seems to have controlled my afib pretty well, however i still get many individual pvc. last holter was 175 single pvc in 48 hrs. i wonder what anyone gets in the # of pvc's. am i good or bad?i also take diltiazem, potassium and magnesium. am thinking of taking taurione, but don't know enough about it yet. if anyone here takes flec and taurine, please resopnd.

I just got back from my internist. She is truly a wonderful compasionate doctor that really wants to help keep me as healthy as possible. Of course all my blood tests came back perfect except that I was low in Vitamin D. I was actualy hoping something was off so that I had a reason for the increase in these damn episodic pvc's that have been lasting for hours at a time. She wants me to try a channel blocker called diltiazem on an "as needed" basis.

I am currently on 30 mg of diltiazem 3x day and i was wondering how effective is this dose at bring down your blood pressure. and how much would it bring it down. a rough estimate would be great. for i am hoping to come off of this medicine.

Whoooo Hoooo! Talk about falling into a pile of poop and coming up smelling like a rose!!! This cardiologist is a KEEPER! He was the cardiologist on call when I had the last (second) event on the event monitor. I didn't even know he was a local cardiologist I thought he was a TX cardiologist w/eCardio when he called me on the phone. The first time I saw him he was pleasant, etc., his office staff have been GREAT! But today, our second visit I KNEW.

150 mg can be rough. I felt like a crazy beast on that dosage. Isn't even make it through that dosage to be honest. I'll tell you what my dr told me when I was on that dosage. Be sure to try days 10-20 every other day. My new doc says that you can try every day & not necessarily eod. My new dr has also taught me how to tell when I'm close to ovulating. I always had little punchy cramps round days 12-15 & thought it was cysts.

It seems heart meds are notorious for causing fatigue. They say it gets better in time. I took my Diltiazem for 3 months (it's a CCB) and although I did get over the headaches and dizziness, the brain fog and general "I don't care" feeling was still there. Wish my hunger had gone away :-) See if you can feel some improvement in a week or so.

I had my E2 level checked yesterday (CD 8) after 5 days of Menopur. It was 96. I was instructed to stay on the same dose (150iu) for CD 8 - 10 and go back in on CD 11. He didn't tell me the number of follicles - but most were measuring around 7 - 8 mm. Is this a normal number for CD 8? It seems kinda low. He didn't want it over 300... Thanks.

BP is relatively normal. I take indapmide for that (From my regular doctor). In fact when my cardilolgist put me on diltiazem, he took me off indapamide. That didn't last long. The diltiazem did nothing for my BP. It went back up (Only talking +/- 140/90), so let me add bavk the indapamide. So, that is not an issue. Just the MVP/ diltazem issue.The pulse can stay n the 60's for awhile. At most during the day, in the 80's. (Of course, that is only when the rythym is normal).

hey im on my second cycle of using cbfm (5th cycle all together of ttc) and last cycle i got 3 highs from cd 11 then peak, this cycle i got my first high on cd 8 and im now on cd 14 and still getting a high .... i did take soy isoflavones (works like clomid) on cd 5-9 (the first month) and this month cd 3-7 (a bit higher dosage this time) im getting worried im not going to ovulate maybe im just being paranoid i dunno do you think i could ovulate and the cbfm not detect it??

I have recently been diagnosed with pacs, and my doctor put me on diltiazem. Can any one tell me from experience how effective this treatment is?

At any rate, my cardiologist prescribed one daily Diltiazem CD 120mg Caps. What seems strange to me is that Diltiazem is for angina and high blood pressure, but is only an OFF LABEL use for arrhythmias. Hence, I have noticed no change in my PVCs (perhaps even a little worse for these first 25 days on Diltiazem, and especially heavy PVCs when I first try to go to sleep at night), nor has my blood pressure been lowered.

hello all finshed ny first round of clomid and its cd 16 and still no o is that normal?? my doc said i should i should have ovulated between days 5 -10 from my last pill today is day 9 oh im going crazy!!!!!!!!!

5mg days 2-6, Gonal F 75IU on CD 7-9.. U/S on Day 11 showed leading fllicle size as 11mm.. upped Gonal F to 150IU on Days 11 & 12... CD 13... No growth at all.. leading follicle size was 12mm... cycle bust!! Jan 2012 ... repeated meds.. Femara 5mg. CD 2-6, Gonal F 75IU on CDs 7-9.. U/s Day 11.. leading follicle size 11mm..... FRUSTRATED!!!! Is there any hope that an upped dosage of Gonal F would make them grow further?? Has anyone else been in this situation??

Anyone out there with tips on how to increase my follicle size faster? At CD 12, it was 9 mm. At CD 15, it remained at 9mm. I'm feeling very down. Tis was supposed to be my first attempt at IUI after TTC for 3 yrs. My journey towards IUI has jus begun and seemed to end abruptly :( FS has scheduled fir another u/s on Monday at CD 19. Wat can I do in the next four days to double my follicle size?

Then all of a sudden the frequency jumped to almost all day every day, with very little respite. Usually around 5 per minute. I saw a cardiologist, who precscribed diltiazem. I took 30mg 3x daily for a month and went back to the cardiologist, during that month, the PVC’s started coming every other beat in clusters of about 4 at a time, with multiple clusters a minute at times. I didn’t really notice any difference when taking the diltiazem.
