Common Questions and Answers about Dilantin and lymph nodes

dilantin

277174 tn?1189848379 With multiple auto-immune issues in the past, it may just turn out that these nodules and lymph nodes too are related to this same problem. Lymphoblastic lymphoma related to dilantin is a rather far-fetched possibility. Please try to relax. I understand that this is a difficult wait for you, but worrying will not help either. Have faith, and all will be well. Good luck.
Avatar m tn How to Know When to See a Doctor for Painful Lymph Nodes Your lymph nodes filter out bacteria and viruses from your body. Lymph nodes are located throughout your body, with the largest located under your arms, in your neck and in your groin. When lymph nodes are painful, it is a sign that you have some type of infection which the nodes are trying to fight off. The type and severity of the infection and the presence of accompanying symptoms determines when you should see a doctor.
Avatar n tn the swelling of lymph nodes are a serious matter. Also I have noticed some smaller lymph nodes on the side of my neck and above my collar bone which is worrying. Underneath my armpit I have had some pain and burning in what I presume are the lymph nodes but I cannot sense any enlarged lymph nodes under there. I am very nervous since generalized lymph node swelling and obscurities are not good.

Avatar m tn I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and did get a CT scan and MRI. My ENT is considering my tonsils to be the problem, but wants to do an FNA on one of the surface lymph nodes to determine what the cause of the chronic enlargement is. If you'd rather not have a CT scan due to the radiation, ask your ENT if you can have an MRI, instead.
Avatar m tn about 9 weeks ago i had an exposure albeit protected and i got an answer that i didnot have a risk but i have painful large lymph nodes in the lower back area and i have lost about 5,6 kgs of weight in this period,my question is about lymph nodes in hiv...when are they swollen,i read in ars they get swollen....so my main question is that after initial ars finishes then do the lymph nodes return to normal,if yes then after how long do they swell again or do they remain swollen after ars?
Avatar f tn Not getting much help here are we? UC Davis study Swollen lymph nodes, or lymphadenopathy, is one of the hallmarks of Lyme disease, although it has been unclear why this occurs or how it affects the course of the disease. The UC Davis research team set out to explore in mice the mechanisms that cause the enlarged lymph nodes and to determine the nature of the resulting immune response. They found that when mice were infected with B.
Avatar m tn Hi Your statement, "since august (3 moths now) i have like 4 lymph nodes on my neck" is incorrect, as you've head your lymph nodes since birth. I didn't read anything of concern for STDs.
Avatar m tn Posible HIV exposure about 13 weeks ago. Have one simple question. I've been having lymph node AREA soreness for about 8 weeks. I haven't been able to locate and swollen lymph nodes themselves, but the pain is in the area of the lymph nodes in the neck, left elbow, groin, kidney area, and behind and below my right knee. If it is coming from the lymphs, shouldn't they be SWOLLEN or ENLARGED? Testicles have hurt off and on the whole time, also..... Please help ease my mind....
Avatar f tn During the second surgery, which removed my remaining thyroid tissue, 3 lymph nodes were stuck to the side of the thyroid and were removed when the thyroid was removed, and 8 more swollen lymph nodes were removed in a clump from the "central compartment" of my neck. All 11 of those lymph nodes were non-cancerous. Swollen lymph nodes can be caused by the immune system's attack on the thyroid with Hashimoto's.
Avatar f tn Are you on synthroid? I have been having extremely painful and enlarged lymph nodes in my neck and am on synthroid, and am wondering if that may be the cause? I don't have Hashi, I don't think I can actually, because I have had a total thyroidectomy. So I am thinking maybe the med theory is right...?
Avatar n tn However, I need to know some things related to ARS and lymph nodes. i.e. if a genuine case of lymph nodes swelling, would I generally feel fever-ish and unwell? As I feel fine. Also, even if you have quite badly swollen nodes, does it really feel like they're pushing and that your neck is really tight (it's particularly bad at the back of the neck, near where your shoulder joins your neck)?
Avatar n tn If one has swollen lymph nodes from ARS. You would have a lot more swollen lymph nodes all over your body. That would not be your only symptom. You won't be on this forum asking questions if you had ARS.
Avatar n tn And I remember that i was feeling for lymph nodes and I was pressing on some lymph nodes in my groin and neck area. Do you think, pressing on lymph nodes will make them swell up and is there any risk that I caught HIV? Ans also, how big are lymph nodes if you got HIV, because i need to actually look for them, like feel for them to see if they swollen. My swollen lymph nodes are the size of a peanut or a small bean.
Avatar f tn I saw the doctor today (Wednesday 13, 2010), she examined my breast, and noticed that the underarm lymph nodes are swollen but she could not feel any lymph nodes above the collarbone. She requested Prolactin test. She also requested an ultrasound to be done next Monday because I just finished my period this Sunday. She also prescribed Azithromycin (250 mg/ every 12 hours) and Piroxicam (20 mg/ every 12 hours) I am nervous and scared.
Avatar n tn Two months after this incidence I started having tickling sensation and numbness in my foot. I also experience pain in lymph nodes and this pain is still persistent. I again approached a doctor who insisted that this could not be HIV, on insistence he recommended a HIV test. This was done 2 1/2 months after the procedure. It was Elecysis combi test by a kit made by Roche. The results were negative giving a reading of 0.2.
Avatar f tn well, just got back from ent. he wouldn't even look at the ultrasound pics. he said it's not a good way to evaluate lymph nodes because it looks fuzzy and distorts lymph nodes. he even went so far to say that i shouldn't have ultrasounds of my neck anymore. he said that the radiologist could've mistaken the left supraclavicular lymph node for a muscle. he uses only ct scans to evaluate lymph nodes. he offered nothing other than getting another ct scan.
Avatar m tn I had an encounter with a sex worker about 1 month ago. For the last several weeks I've had swollen lymph nodes in my neck, I can't tell if any of my other lymph nodes are swollen. I'm not noticing anything swollen. I had an antibody test last week at 20 days which came back negative. I know that is early but I came across something online that said at 3 weeks tests are 75% accurate. As for the risky encounter, it was with a female escort in a city with a high hiv rate.
Avatar m tn After my exposure(unprotected vaginal and oral with prostitute) I started to searching the net about the symptoms and saw that lymph nodes are very common in HIV. So I started poking myself and looking for lymph nodes on myself and I found several nodes in my groin(those are still the same size) and one small under my jaw. That's it! I couldn't find any nodes in my armpits and neck, although I was looking for them very often.

I have heard of enlarged lymph nodes being signs of lymphoma...... any advice you guys could give me would be very much appreciated..... what could this mean?? what other tests should she have done now???
Avatar m tn Thanks for your message Laura! I have high TPO antibodies so my doctor is almost certain that I do have Hashimoto's. I was able to see an Endocrinologist and he said he's about 80% sure I don't have cancer but he wanted to order a core biopsy just to be sure. I am having it done tomorrow at 9:30am. Please send positive thoughts and prayers my way! I'm glad I am not the only one who gets swollen lymph nodes with Hashi's! Thanks again!
