660872 tn?1238641245 I have never had a headache with the visual disturbance. The vision problem starts with a small bright dot in the centre of my vision that increases in size and becomes a semi circle with jagged flashing lights at the circumference. This increases in size over 20-30 minutes until it becomes so big that it is too big to see any more. This has happened 3 to 4 times a year over the last 5 years or so.
Avatar f tn I do get a weakness in in my arm its usually the left one. Even if the eye disturbance is in the right one. The eye disturbance is quite significant to the point of making it difficult to see when it encompasses my whole visual field. If it happens in both of the m I am nervous to drive if I am n the road. The visual symptoms last anywhere from 5or6 minutes to 20 or 25. then they just disappear and I wait to see if the pain is coming.
Avatar n tn I also have the typical visual disturbance associated with migraines. I have had many eye tests over the years and they have all been normal. But when these occur they are scary still! Doen't seem to be permanent though they always eventually go away. Sunglasses help a lot. Is there a Name for this Phenomena , is it Sheerer's? I wish i knew. This discussion is related to bright spot in vision.
Avatar n tn ) When I experience a visual migraine, typically the visual disturbance subsides after 1-2 hours and in that time, I really can't do much especially if it involves looking downward. Cooking, for example, is out of the question because I can't see my hands or my knife! I was experiencing a visual disturbance today and tried this water remedy. It cleared up within ten minutes! Fantastic! I do have a headache now but that will subside soon enough after taking naproxen sodium.
Avatar m tn also the black spots appear whenever I make a fast transition from one contrast to another, like from a light green room to a dark blue room), and finally if my eyes make sudden movements, I experience another visual disturbance that consists of some part of my vision flickering with a dark hue, like there's too much fluid in my eye and something can't compensate its motion... Also making me think that something is weakening... but it's in both eyes.
Avatar n tn Causes of small, flattened or inverted T waves are numerous and include ISCHEMIA (blocked or partially blocked arteries), age, race, hyperventilation, anxiety, drinking iced water, LVH, drugs (e.g. digoxin), pericarditis, PE, intraventricular conduction delay (e.g. RBBB)and electrolyte disturbance. Abnormal T waves has many causes and your post indicates ischemia as the cause. Any EKG test requires other evidence to make a diagnosis.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I have had a visual disturbance since going up on Neurotin and taking Celebrex. I have seen in the package insert of Neurontin that it can cause visual disturbances and rare retinal problems etc. I have also seen a New Zealand study recently that said some people get a visual disturbance from Celebrex. I am quitting both for that reason. Has anyone had visual problems from either drug?
Avatar m tn His headache persisted for three days, on day 4 he had some visual disturbance, but no headache, we have him home, resting, no school, no sports. Is this type of visual disturbance a typical post concussion symptom ?
Avatar n tn Every now and then I get an acute visual disturbance which lasts for about 15 or 20 minutes at a time and consists of seeing bright rainbow coloured zig-zag patterns in my peripheral vision. Even if it appears to be affecting just one eye I can still see it with the other when I close the affected eye - and see the bright reflection on my eyelid even with both eyes closed. I do not have any other symptoms, e.g.
1925822 tn?1333705617 do chiari migranes come with visual disturbance too.i have visual disturbance on my left eye where the pain is...i see strange thunders etc???
741877 tn?1265950200 t last just 2 or 3 seconds so hopefully it was just a tempory change in blood flow to the eye or the brain causing a brief visual disturbance. Since I am not your doctor and you are pregnant I cannot give you personal medical advise, so it is impotant that you speak with your own personal obstetrician and eye doctor.
Avatar n tn Does this rule out most eye diseases?
Avatar f tn I need some 'expert' advice. I am having a visual field disturbance. It is sort of like a lightening flash streak that doesnt leave. It is in the left field, but I think both eyes are 'seeing' it. When I shut my eyes, i can see the streak staying in my eyelids (make any sense? not sure how to say that part) I am not officially diagnosed MS. Awaiting 2nd opinion....the reason I am wondering how immediately I may need to see the DR is that my husband is sick.
Avatar f tn He also said that there is surgery to correct it but at this point there is no reason to do it as it is not that bad. The visual disturbance is persistant visual aura. He said that it is because my migraines aren't under good control. The usual treatment for this is Depakote. I am allergic to this. He feels that if my doc gets them better under control this will subside. I am glad for the answers!
