Avatar f tn I have very low blood pressure as well and always has and I am 43 years old. My normal blood pressure is 90/60 but I have ofter seen it at 78/58 the lowest I have seen it at is 76/48. I am often very tired, occasional dizziness but my cardiologist is not worried as this is my normal. He said that only when you have a sudden drop in BP there is worries. I am not treated for that at all.
Avatar f tn Hi, Digoxin is administered in the treatment of Congestive heart failure . Diastolic blood pressure significantly decreased and systolic blood pressure significantly increased during overnight sleep in the digoxin phase .Heart rate decreased in the overnight sleeping phase . Digoxin significantly decreases diastolic blood pressure during overnight sleep in patients with congestive heart failure.
4703993 tn?1379768388 m sure he will be concerned... with the Atenolol at 12.5 mg and Midodrine at 10mg my blood pressure was like 88/50 and my resting pulse would be between 40-50.... so my body seems to act very dramatically to beta blockers for some reason.... Ughh lovely holter monitors... I wore one back in August for 3 weeks and just wore another one quite recently for 2 weeks... torture......
Avatar n tn My father recenlty fell, fractured his hip and I have been getting contradicting information about digoxin, since he has low blood pressure and digoxin may not be safe for him.. Thank you This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/239460'>Dijoxin Level</a>.
1231791 tn?1289756226 re right on the money, dizziness short of breath headaches numbness in arms and lower legs confusion and an inability to string a lucid sentence together. Two days off meds and the bp and pulse are still comparatively low for my norm, but at least my friends don't think I'm drunk when I speak. For now I'll live with the angina and pvc's & deal with the afib as it comes. Again thank you for your reply. Happy 4th to you and your family !
Avatar f tn 25 to 40% breathing normal), stopped the coreg last December and the Digoxin due to the recall in April, only to start new symptoms of bad breathing and EF of <25. By end of April. I have never had high Blood Pressure always around 120/80 or chest pains even during the myocarditis. Catheter reults during the myo showed no artery problems or any scars on the heart just a weakened heart function LVEF. Moved out of state since last year.
Avatar n tn I recently had a 2 d echo and I would greatly appreciate some explanation of the results. The abnormals are mitral valve leaflets thickened, aortic vavlular sclerosis, diastolic transmitral e/a ratio decreased suggesting diastolic relaxation impairment, mild mr and mild tr present I am 39 with a history of tachycardia. I am currently taking digoxin 250mcg twice a day. Even with that my heart rate is still in the high 90's resting.
Avatar n tn In last ten days I have seen my pulse rate decreasing, blood pressure decreasing and for last few days I also feel light theaded. Is it a sign of worsening condition? I had MI in 2007, a stented LAD and 35% EF. I also have an ICD. I take usual medications beta blockers, ACE-inhibitors, digoxin, asprin-clopidogrel, statin, deuratics. No other symptoms. Was doing reasonably well until recently. I failed to get any answers from my Cardiologist. Can someone on the forum please help?

Avatar f tn 20 mcg Digoxin, all twice daily) has high blood pressure. Her latest readings (taken while awake, and calm, with an infant MANUAL bp cuff) were 114/80 (left arm) & 110/68 (right arm). What could be causing her high blood pressure?
Avatar m tn fluid consumption is within limits as that also tend to aggravate the CHF. One has to ensure that the blood pressure, heart rate & lipids are kept under control. Please do consult your cardiologist also.I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn Tried cardioversion but did not work--was told only a 30% chance of success. Am on lisinopril for blood pressure-- for a fib--digoxin, tatzia xt and xarelto as blood thinner. Cardiologist said were other meds he could give me but side effects outweighed benefits and would not change meds unless had no other choice. I have a fib daily but not as strong as when started.
Avatar f tn My husband and I would like to start trying for a baby but i'm on Betablockers for a tachycardia that no-one can find a reason for! i'm only on 1.25mg of bisoprolol, and would like to know what risks there are. I'm currently on a waiting list to see cardiology and find out what their opinion is but would like a bit of advice.
Avatar f tn Hello again, If you start taking Hawthorne preparations be aware that "Overdose can cause cardiac arrhythmia and dangerously low blood pressure. Milder side effects include nausea and sedation. Patients taking Digoxin should avoid taking hawthorn. 471161 tn?1317190950 Right before the lupus kicked in in 2007 I started having higher blood pressure and would feel the bla bloops more often. Now, since I was in the hospital in Januray I feel them constantly. I don't know how long the EKG actually runs, it is very fast, but I had three during it the other day. So do you think that is a PVC? I am going to ask my cardio what it is called. An early heart beat sounds simplified. He has also called it arrythmias I think. I had my CT Scan this afternoon.
2021358 tn?1328748117 I have very limited quality of life. My face is always tingling and I can barely walk without my blood pressure going crazy, shortness of breath and chest pain. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Avatar f tn It still makes me very tired and lowers my blood pressure even more. My exercise tolerance is not as high either. The theory is that the flecainide will "retrain" my heart to stay in sinus and eventually I can go off it. Otherwise the arrhythmias will get worse until I'm in permanent a-fib. The flecainide has helped the irregular beats including atrial tach and pvcs. I think I still have them but the symptoms are much milder. It's a trade off.
Avatar f tn He went to his regular cardiologist today and he ran a blood test to check for toxicity and took him off of it. It sounds like a very nasty drug...thanks for the info. I can't understand why he was put on it. He has had a heart attack and bypass surgery but I don't think that would make digoxin the only alternative with so many other drugs out there.
Avatar m tn I know there was a recent recall of Digoxin in the U.S. Check with your doctor about any changes in medications. Is there any chance the pain is because of the ICD? I've heard some people say they have some discomfort from the leads/placement of the device, etc. Does your doctor think it's OK for you to take over the counter pain medication? If so, what does he suggest?
Avatar n tn The existence of double-strength pills pose a risk of digitalis toxicity, which can result in nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, cardiac instability, bradycardia and even death.
