As Toprol also reduces blood pressure and I have low blood pressure as it is, I started having dizziness and nausea. He then put me on Digitek, which has since been recalled and I havebeen on 0.25 mg of digoxin for about 2 months. I recently started to have cramps, abnormal bowel movements and I feel very exhausted. The doctor reduced the dosage to .125 mg and on the first day I felt better until about 6PM and then the cramps started again.
None of this explains what happened to me. They were asking about all of his medicine and he was on the digitek and had to take some of his medicine back up to the pharmacy with like 10 pills left. I am very lost in what happened with him and would just like some closure on why he detriated so quickly. If you can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks, sweetredt!!

After my heart attack 6 years ago, I was on digitek for a few months only. The known side effects of digitek: "Apathy, blurred vision, breast development in males, change in heartbeat, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lower stomach pain, nausea, psychosis, rash, vomiting, weakness, yellow vision" I was concerned with the prescription when there was a recall. As it turned out it was the generic "digitek" for digoxin.
I did have a chest infection about one-month before my last heart episode. Did you also hear about the Digitek recall and that problem? I stopped taking it the week my breathing problem stopped?
She is on various meds for this.,,coumadin, digitek, metoprolol.... She still has trouble breathing. Does not want to go on oxygen. Would moving to sea level help her? If we did a trial test, how long would it take to tell if it is helping?
please let me know if the dosage i am taking i.e. 1/4 of 20 fluoxetine and 5mg olanzapine combo and 3/4 lorazepam is high or low.
83, The doctor has now increase my weekend dosage to 100mcg but I still feel this is not enough. I feel 125mcag along with 100mcg every other day would be more suitable for me. Please advise as I'm concern about about my baby.

I was feeling a little bit hyper on this dosage. I was nervous, not sleeping , etc. I think that I seem to do better when my TSH is a little higher. I already had 100 mg of Synthroid, so I started taking the 100's, with the knowledge of my doctor, but by day 3, I was crying, emotional, and not feeling good at all. What does this mean? Was the 100 already not enough or should I try maybe alternating the 112 and 100, or does this mean that I need to stay on the 112?
If the doctor prescribed that dosage, then I would trust him/her. Zoloft is typically prescribed from 50-200mg, so your son is taking a 'normal' dosage in my opinion. I was on Zoloft a couple of years ago and had no major problems coming off of it. Just ensure when it is time to come off the medication work with your doctor and taper down slowly.
Thyroid disease and what medication/dosage that works to alleviate symptoms is just as individual as you are.
Barb's right when she said the healing takes time. I think you are doing the right thing, going up slowly and keeping track of how you feel, but try to relax a little, even though I know that's hard to do when you don't feel well. I wish I'd found this forum years ago, it's been very helpful.
re getting. Some use fillers that are dangerous and there can be issues with inconsistent dosage as well. Not all supplements that claim to be all natural are completely safe.
his DR had him on Digitek and lasix for a while saying it was CHF. He got really sick last saturday and we took him to the ER. They found he was in A-FIB and they did a few tests. (he looked pale) They admitted him and after a cardiologist came in and listened to him they said he had a Valve leak and murmur. The did a Heart Catherization and found their were no clogged arteried, but he has Mitral Valve regurgitation. They said it's pretty severe.
25 with bad breathing problems, had an electro-cardioversion that brought me back to normal sinus rythem, normal breathing and again EF back up to 40% in 1-month continued on with Coreg and Digoxin for 9-months, came off the coreg and continued taking the Digitek only.
Hi, I'm newly diagnosed hypothyroid. I've been taking 25mg levothyroxine for nearly 8 weeks now but I just feel worse and worse. It's really affecting my day to day life much more than before - I'm a student nurse and am struggling to make it through my shifts on a daily basis. Thinking my dosage is wrong - how long does it take for everything to become stabilised again? Not sure how I'm gunna carry on my nurse training at the moment :-( any comments appreciated.
