i was being treated for a yeast infection back in Dec and i took a diflucan pill on last Monday cus i thought the yeast infection was coming back. Every since taking the diflucan my discharge has increased. Now it literally looks like milk! I have already made an appointment with my gyno for this Wednesday. Im just trying to figure out if anyone has any insight as to what can be causing this. I am starting to get really scared now.
Iv heard tho that increased discharge could cause some type of irritation down there ... but then idk if the yellow disharge could be pee or not because it kind of smells like it sometimes i cant tell , im always wearing a pantie liner due to increased discharge . Im just waiting for my dr to call me back so i can try to get an appointment. But idk if i should ask them to do a swab or check down there if its normal....

After that the doctor checked me out as fine but gave me diflucan. It worked only a little, and here I am 6 months later, and 4 diflucan pills later, its constantly in my underwear making me feel wet all the time, its so uncomfortable and embarressing, I just want help :((((( please soomeone! I've tried everything from cotton underwear to loose clothing to no sex, I just want to have sex and not be scared that I'm "too wet" and its showing up on his privates or the bed sheets.
Three days later, and after summer starts and I start a job that requires me to wear suits and sometimes stockings, I experience itching all around my vagina and increased discharge. I visit my doctor on Saturday (this past Sat.) and she gives me Diflucan of which I take one dose. I took both doses and the discharge is gone and the itching is not as bad (but still happens, as I have a job where wearing restrictive, tighter clothes isn't negotiable).
Did your doctor swab the discharge to see if it is yeast or fungal? (any discharge that you have as we all have vaginal discharge they can swab at any time). That should be your next step if not. STD's usually do not have an odor. IF you are having unprotected sex, it is very wise to get an STD screening though.

m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? The itching and burning have subsided, and I took my first diflucan pill Sunday (doc gave me 4). I'm also using Vagisil for itching and irritated skin! Thanks!
- She gives me another diflucan anyway and I take it and this time the discharge seemed to stop. But because the flucanazole/diflucan never worked before -- I assume it to be a coincidence and that the discharge stopped on its own.
A month free of yellow discharge and I get brown spotting mid cycle. I thought mum must've set me off because she started her period early and we always get them at the same time. After the spotting stops -- the yellow discharge is back! Woe is me!
The discharge quickly stopped altogether within a few days,with 2 times where I noticed a very small amount of white discharge at tip of penis when I woke up. I began having symptoms in August of 2015. It started out with intense pain after urination and slight yellow discharge. I also was having symptoms of yeast. I've had terrible problems with yeast my whole life, so my doctor called me in diflucan and that helped for a while. I was also called in cipro to see if it would help with anything urinary related. The cipro helped a lot but symptoms reaccured.
I finally broke down and went to the gynecologist.
about right after that i was dx w vaginal candida yeast infection (rarely itching/burning, mainly just the discharge)-my dr treated me with diflucan. it never went away. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
t hurt and I was a bit swollen. I had a creamy white discharge the week before and it increased and got more watery, so I just thought I was ovulating. It did not have a smell nor did it itch. I used Monistat 7day cream and Miconazole cream on the sores.
The next morning I woke up with a raging fever and my labia 10 times it's normal size, at this point the scabs are moist and are bleeding and appear more like a healing scab, brown in the middle, with white on the outside.

Is this a recurrent yeast infection or did I just have the one and aggrevate it with antibiotics? I'm nervous when I google this because it keeps saying my immune system could be compromised... This is only the second yeast infection I've ever had in my life and I'm in my mid 30s.
Nine days later I had symptoms of a yeast infection (swollen labia, discharge, and itching). I went to my doctor, who swabbed, and gave me a prescription for Diflucan (2 doses). The next day I received an email stated that the swab tested negative for yeast and fungus, but the doctor explained that my clinical presentation was so "classic" that he believed my symptoms would still go away with the Diflucan treatment.
I have been having irritation in the vulva area for 6 days now. It started with me noticing a slight itching and little white bumps. These bumps went away within a day and were completely painless. However, the itching remained (I was on my period so I couldn't tell if there was discharge). I used anti-yeast infection cream on the skin as i thought it might be thrush related. The doctor said it doesn't look like classical herpes but there was no yest present internally either.
As a precaution for syphilis, she gave me an IM Penicillin injection and prescribed Diflucan for the yeast. She did not swab the lesion itself.
My blood test results returned the next day and were WNL and negative for your standard STD's and HIV (HSV was the only one not tested). The only abnormality was an increased level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
