For the past year I've had a yeast infection every month. My doctor has giving me Diflucan and it clears it up a bit but it always comes back. It has ruined my sex life. wow im so sorry to hear this, i too have been tested for eveything and had serious somach issues, no stds and no signs of why i always get severes stomach pains, i have had a penile yeast infection for over a year and diflucan doesnt work for me neither do the creams, MK9 is great hes great to talk to and he gives knowable advice. IM here for you if you nee someone to tlak and listen as i believe im ina similar boat.
So if your doctor knows you he will often prescribe a medication for yeast infection at the same time. If you are discovering this now, you may want to keep it in mind if you have to use antibiotics again. As specialmom said, "Diflucan" is a good one for me, but your doctor will be the best one to give you a good treatment for the yeast infection. It is unlikely to go away on its own.
I actually took yeast pills, azo makes them and that worked best for me.

But I am curious if your partner was treated for the yeast infection because if he wasn't then you will simply keep passing it back and forth to each other. Docs (even LLMDs) are sometimes not very savvy about these things, and I got a huge systemic yeast infection that several docs (not just my LLMD) didn't recognize as such. A yeast infection is a fungus, and antibiotics don't kill it, they just kill all the good bacteria which would normally keep yeast/fungus under control.

since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!

It sounds as though it could possibly be herpes? You could google herpes and see what they look like and compare to what you have. Have you been to an obgyn? I would definitely suggest that. If it was a yeast infection the diflucan and creams should have worked. I"ve never heard of open sores with a yeast infection. I hope you start to feel better soon. I know it must be very painful. The next day, i had red painless bumps and my scrotum was bright red. I went to a derm who said i had a bad yeast infection and gave diflucan. My whole groin became crusty and red and then died down. However, the bumps and ulcer remained for about two months. Derm biopsied a bump and came back as "Psoriaform Dermatitis". At 11.5 weeks, i had my derm do another Herpeselect IGG as I was freaked out and came back negative for HSV1 (.5) and HSV2 (<.02).
