oops, sorry, I had unprotected sex with a girl, about 4 mins of sex and then we stoped, I know I can test at 3 months and Ill do it, I tested neg on a duo already but my balanitis is really scaring the hell outa me, I occasionally had it every now and then but this time is pretty strong, im on diflucan atm. do you know if Is balanitis considered an ars or hiv oportunistic infection?
Once i had finished the 10 day course i noticed that my penis had become very dry and start to peel. I went online as you do and self diagnosed myself with balanitis as a side effect from the antibiotics. A week went by and the skin stopped peeling and became very red with tiny little bumps everywhere. I used canesten for 1 week with no results and coconut oil for another week again nothing. I decided to see my G.P who also agreed to it being balanitis.
When you return, your doctor may want to prescribe diflucan for you--which is oral, and possibly a bit more effective.
As far as which to use, most brands are very similar.

ve experienced redness on my penis glands with no discharge from tip, no burning when urinating, but recently developed what i believe to be balanitis. When using a tissue to wipe the head of my gland, it appears that a dry discharge comes off the surface and is smelly. Some background information:
I visited the doctor at the end of March 2010, to do a complete STD check which involved PCR of Urine, and HIV, Syph,Hep1&2 blood tests and all was negative.
ve had an inflammation around my foreskin and on the glans for about 2 weeks now. Assumed this was balanitis or perhaps a yeast infection. I had an STI screen that came back negative and in the meantime my physician treated with 1% hydrocortisone/anti-fungal cream.
The cream doesn't seem to be helping, and maybe even a little worse. I will go for a follow up but was hoping for some additional insight if anyone is willing to provide it.

One common organism associated with balanitis is a yeast known as Candida albicans. Balanitis may occur because of excessive growth of Candida, due to moisture and warmth under the foreskin.
It can be treated by applying Miconazole, an anti-fungal medication.Most cases of balanitis can be controlled with medicated creams and good hygiene.

Went to a sexual health doctor a day or so later and she said that I had Balanitis. She said that the girl most likely had a yeast infection and its had been past to me. She did not give me a swab or anything as she said it was defiantly Balanitis in her opinion.
It had already started to go away and she said to try some over the counter Clotrimazole cream.

I researched quite a bit, and thought i might have a yeast infection and possible balanitis. I bought over the counter monistat and applied for a few days. The swelling went down and my foreskin began to produce this whitish patch on my foreskin. When i applied the topical antifungal and allowed the foreskin to cover the head overnight, and the next morning when i pull the foreskin back, i have quite a bit of "yeast' or "smegma" covering the white patch.
My symptoms from October 2015 until now January 2017 have been , recurring balanitis which is the biggest symptom (after masturbation or sex balanitis comes back immediatly within 24 hrs), cold hands, cold feet, pain and aching in legs thighs and groin area, unexplained weird cyst like acne on my legs and butt occasionally, bowel problems diarrhea farting, and more RECENTLY BLOOD in semen, pain after ejaculation, cold hands cold feet, and pain in testicles.
Can feel better in 2-3 weeks with meds (cipro with and without diflucan) or without meds, but ejaculating during this makes it last longer (had sex and masturbated twice during current "flare", going on 7 weeks of length). They are not blisters,, they are shallow, kind of recessed. Very painful, seems to fully develop in a few days from beginning. Diflucan, clotrimazole, Nystatin, nothing seems to help on the anti-fungals. I recently started taking Acyclovir on my Drs. recomendation, and that does not help either. Herpes culture was negative every time. Very frustrating and depressing when it occurs. I have included a photo, as I cannot seem to find any pics anywhere that resemble my problem.
I have been diagnosed with Zoon's Balanitis, or Plasma Cell Balanitis. I have been battling this inflammation for almost 2 years now. My first occurrence of any penile inflammation was a month after I had unprotected sex, when I noticed a foul smelling substance (smegma) underneath my foreskin -- I am uncircumcised. Hello, I had sex with a csw with preservative for about 3 minutes, didnt eyaculate or anything and about 6 days later I got trush and sore throad with lots of dry cough, I got tested at day 25 with duo test negative and now waiting for the 3 months mark, but Im having recurring balanitis and trush on my tongue wont go away, already took mycostatin, diflucan and dactarin and they always come back, Isnt it a bit early for these opportunistic infections to come?
s rash is only located in the area that is near the meatus when not pulled back. I did some reading online and thought it might be balanitis/yeast infection (despite my obsessive hygiene) so I used a miconazole cream for about 5 days near the urethral opening and foreskin. I ended up getting a small crack (maybe a quarter inch in length) on the tip of my foreskin and some dry skin. That healed pretty quick but the foreskin redness remained.
They gave me 1g of azithromycin and a shot of cetrifaxon prophylacticly. Also a single tablet of diflucan. Thinking I was going to start to feel better and possibly it was just a fungal or yeast thing, I started spraying tolfnaate onto my penis and groin and gold Bond medical powder all over thighs and penis. That lasted about a week.

I have been battling a male yeast infection for a few months now and have gone through two rounds of topical cream treatments of Nystatin and Ketaconazole which after both symptoms reappeared. I'm now taking generic Diflucan pills for 14 days and while the yeast infection symptoms seem to have subsided, my skin is still flaking and peeling off my penis. This generally happens the few days following masturbation.

itraconazole ( 20 days), Diflucan (7 days), Azithromycin 1000mg (Single dose). But there is little to no improvement.

They gave me Canasten cream which i have then used as described for 7-10days applying twice a day. On the second day of using this cream, my penis was 100% normal, however...
The GP examined me and she said it looks like Balanitis. Apparently this is not a sexually transmitted disease but just a irritation or redness of the penis. I said to the doctor that I'm sure I've had red patches like this on my penis before but they've gone away within a day or two. I got a test for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea to be on the safe side though and results will come back to me in a week or so.
