Three weeks ago I had an oral surgery and the doctor prescribed me penicillin for 10 days. On the second day I started to itch and I knew I had a yeast infection. I consulted a doctor and was told that it would not help to prescribe the diflucan until I was done with the meds. One week ago I took the diflucan and now I have a sore by my peritoneum, I am so scared because I dont want to have genital herpes. I never had this happen before.
It also has some anti-candida effect, and it says when combined with fluconazole (Diflucan), it works well on Diflucan strains of the yeast.
I hadn't heard of taking Xylitol, although I have taken Stevia in the past. I felt a bit crummier for the first month of taking Stevia. Later I read that Eva Sapi had seen it kill some spirochetes and cysts in the lab. I figured the extra fatigue and brain fog I had was the die off. After that eased up, it didn't seem to benefit me anymore.
Antibiotics (doxicycline) seem to have the inside of my mouth raw, with white patches on my tongue and a few white blisters in mouth, also. Now I'm on Penicillin for the teeth. I am on chantix, too. Quitting after 37 years.
What are the contraindications of taking penicillin and valacyclovir during the same cycle ? Can they both be taken on the same day ?

1. My OB did mention drug resistance. We tried 3 anti-fungals and 2 antibiotics: clindomycin (worked initially); penicillin (worked initially); diflucan (didn't work); zithromax (nope); tetrazole (didn't work and REALLY irritated my inner workings).
2. I used about every home remedy I could get info on: garlic, yogurt, peroxide, tea tree oil, oregano oil...
Both prevacid and prilosec have the same actions so they do the same things. The only interaction that I know of with prevacid and penicillin is with a type of penicillin called Ampicillin and it may inhibit the absorption of the prevacid.
She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I feel that my gyn is not meeting my need. I do not want to live on the creams and diflucan. I heard about a gyn on the radio that I would like to go to. I will make an appointment with her.
I never took diflucan long term. I will get two diflucans at one time.
My amoxicillin capsules are made out of yellow food dye. My pharmasit told me that I open the capsule and take just the powder. The problem is the strong taste of the powder makes me gag.what can I do ?

Iam having a terrible toothache the dentist said it is my wisdom tooth growing below my other tooth.She prescribed penicillin due to infections and I have a fever. I am scared to take it thinking that it may affect my babies. I am pregnant with twins.My first pregnancy ended in m/c at 5 1/2/ months.She said its ok for pregnant women to take.I am still taking my progestorones.

I have been on Penicillin VK for a few days due to some upcoming dental work. I know that gonhorrea and ngu are the only real (albeit very small) risks, and typically your advice to people is that if they haven't had any symptoms of discharge etc. that you do not recommend testing. Does my Penicillin VK change that advice? I have a "normal" sex partner that I want to keep safe.
I have body wide stiffness etc; possibly fibro. or lyme - lots of neck pain etc; the couple of times I have taken penicillin for un-related health issues, my other symptoms have much improved!!! just as dlt58 describes.

Hi, can anyone advise if the treatment for oral gonorrhoea is the same as vaginal? Also as I'm allergic to penicillin is 400mg of Suprax® / Cefixime and 1000mg Azithromycin ok to treat it. I'm in the uk, what are the chances of a resistant strain?
Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.
Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back. So I went to the doctor and this time they did a "wet mount" turns out I had BV and Yeast together.
I went to urgent care for treatment and was given diflucan and it didnt put a dent in it, so I went back. I was given more diflucan and it didnt do anything. I waited to see a gynocologist and had a pap smear and STD test, went back for an HPV screen. I was negative for it all and was given diflucan by her as well. I went back to her a second time and she gave me a cream for a yeast infection after admitting she didnt see signs for one and didnt know why I would be burning.
I went back to the ER and after 6 hours they told me it was a yeast infection and gave me medications(metronidazole and diflucan) for BV and Trich and YI. I took the medications as prescribed and cleared within 5 days just to have the same symptoms linger on. I visited planned parenthood and the doctor took swabs and cultures and looked at each one with a microscope and saw trichomonas and gave me more metronidazole to give to my partner as well.

I had a look online for adverse reactions listed under any type of penicillin and found Penicillin G Potassium lists vein swelling as a serious side effect. Teva Penicillin VK states signs of a severe skin reaction including blistering.
