I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps.
As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.

I have had 6 rounds of diflucan to no avail. My urology dr is at a loss. Should I be seeing an infectious disease dr at this point? When I take diflucan I feel better quickly. So I talked to the urologist today and he said 2 weeks of Diflucan, representing 2 full courses, should be enough to kill the candida -- which is the likeliest fungus I was affected by, he said.

yes, Diflucan is a super safe drug, also used to help Candida in the body. Don't worry, when I had Candida really bad (yeast overgrowth throughout the whole body) I used to take 100/mg per day for 2 months straight. It is great if you have had to take a lot of antibiotics in the past, you will probably feel great after the dosages, because it cleanses your body of bad yeast, like a pro-biotic.
I am unable to eat much fruit or vegetables with high sugar content. I am currently being treated with Diflucan and Cipro for an existing yeast problem. I am taking Diflucan for 30 days and Cipro for 10 days. This will give me some relief for about three or four months and then I will need to treat the problem again. Questions: Should I change the Diflucan/Cipro time schedule or try different drugs? Any other suggestion would be very much appreciated.
Hello, I had sex with a csw with preservative for about 3 minutes, didnt eyaculate or anything and about 6 days later I got trush and sore throad with lots of dry cough, I got tested at day 25 with duo test negative and now waiting for the 3 months mark, but Im having recurring balanitis and trush on my tongue wont go away, already took mycostatin, diflucan and dactarin and they always come back, Isnt it a bit early for these opportunistic infections to come?
I have tried to nystatin a couple of times plus difulcan 150mg for 7 days over and over since the end of September and I am currently on diflucan 100mg for 30 days since January 29, 2015. I am about done with that and it is still there..I can't get it to clear up.

I have been taking probiotics now for about 2-3 months and my nasal sores have dramatically improved. I would suggest doing some candida research, then if you think it sounds appropriate, try a GOOD probiotic. Unfortunately candida is not a named disease and effectively western medicine does not recognise or treat candida ( there are some treatments such as diflucan which treat yeast infections but as of yet not a western cure for systemic candida.
I had a UTI and a vaginitis in May Wich was mistreated and got really bad and I always had pelvic pain (no PID). STD test, urine culture is negative . I have a painful , moveable nodule in my Douglas area, doctor said it might be endo. CA 125 level is normal. About 6 yrs ago my daily inhaler stopped working & I was diagnosed with a pneumoniae & on very strong antibiotics. A red blotch appeared under arm..family Dr gave me Diflucan saying candida. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!

In August of 2015 I got my first yeast infection, which is not odd because I live at the beach and am constantly in a bathing suit during the summer. I went to my gyno and she gave me diflucan and the symptoms went away. A couple months later I had sex where the condom broke. A few days after the sex, I experienced some burning of the skin down there. So i immediately freaked out and got tested for STD's, and everything came back negative.

is typically experienced by women in their vagina, however yeast can also be present and cause problems all over the body (male or female) and this is more typically called candida. It can and does cause fatigue and very pronounced symptoms. Many of the symptoms are the same as many of the CFS/Fibro symptoms. It is definitely worth looking into. I am not aware of anti-virals causing candida overgrowth as they attack viruses, not bacteria.
