i also wash face with mild cleanser and apply moisturizer, after apply moisturizer on my nose still becomes more oily. I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production,which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.
There are many scrubs and masks on the market which can improve the appearance of blackheads. If they are of limited benefit to you, ask your doctor about Differin gel. This is a topical retinoid which contains Adapalene 0.1%. It works deep into your pores and is effective at clearing both acne and blackheads.

At the same time this rash appeared (which first looked like a horrible Cystic pimple) I also had a Levulan treatment done on my face, and the person performing this used a very high setting, which left my face very burned, and peeling for a week.
The rash is extremely painful, and creates linear hard crusty things under my skin, which then become infected. I do have a little one above my left eyebrow, and you can see a hard white line under my skin.
When trying to peel it off after it had adhesed(dried), I noticed that it was extremely difficult to the point where my eyes began tearing. Eventually towards the end of the peeling off I had enough and just sort of forced it off. Little did I know that in small print on the back of the box it says to NOT force it off or else an abrasion can occur, and if that happens to discontinue use and consult a physician!

I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun.
I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.it says its for rosacea but doest oracea work to kill acne to or no?and the differin gel 0.3% isnt this not as strong drying to dry up pimples as retin a micro 0.1%?
He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale.The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually.Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away.Please help.
I messed with it a little bit, and the next day it had swollen up and was warm, like an infection. Since then, I have been using Abreva and Differin on it. The Differin makes the largest difference – it reduces the size significantly.

Hi I've recently been using differin gel, but about a week ago I started breaking out bad and decided to take a week long break from the gel to heal my skin. I was wondering if taking a week long break was a good idea or not?

Hi, I have been using differin every alternate nights for 3 months without problems. But just last sun, I rubbed some onto my eyelids and facial rashes started to explode. They were not itchy at first but started to spread and becoming very itchy. My Gp said its contact dermatitis. But how could it be as I have been using it for 3 months? I put hydrocortisone cream on them but nothing seems to subside. Now my whole face is covered with itchy swell rashes. What should I do?

even though the peeling was spread throughout my body it was a mild peeling meaning it was not painful and did not result in any wound or injury. it was only the upper layer or epidermis. The peeling lasted for more than a week. I saw 2 dermatologist during this period and they both said that it was maybe due to an allergic reaction to something I have eaten. They both ruled out a viral infection because they said that I had no peeling on my hands and feet and that I had no fever.
skin peeling only on first 3 findertips, over a year, no real pain unless peeled too far, small non hard dead skin patches form a small circle to the layer of skin underneath, then all around can easily be peeled off, water makes it very visibly worse, also never goes below first joint, have tried steriod ointment, creams and my fingers are not in contact with anything new or out of the ordinary, very healthy, is there a cure or treatment to make it dissapear?
It’s been a few months that I started peeling on my hands and feet. It started on the same finger on each hand and everyday a different finger will start peeling. The weirdest thing is that whichever finger will peel from my right hand will also peel from my left hand. After 5 days and all 10 fingers were peeled, my feet started peeling...! Now it’s been almost 3 months and I keep on peeling.
The only other thing that I have done differently from my normal routine is that I began to use Differin Gel 3% on my face only which is why I never thought of it as being the cause of this strange neck rash, but a friend at work said that I should look into this so here I am. Is this possible? I have heard that Differin can be a bit systemic for some.
