Varicose veins are painful, I would mention it to your doc as they will be able to tell the difference between them and blood clots, I'm nlt sure that blood clots are usually visible, but you are def better to get them checked out. There are treatments for varicose veins in injection form which really hell, but I'm not sure if that could be done while you are pregmant. Your doc will be able to advise best.

Vericose veins just after some time can naturally become very tender. It could just be from lack of movement. I don't think it's a blood clot, personally. You can try wearing a compression sleeve, which may help relieve some of the pain. hope you start feeling better. good luck.

Just to be sure I would call the dr or like you said your midwife. I can be a varicose vein or it could be a blood clot which could cause concern I would get checked out to be sure.

It seems since I found it my leg has been sore, achy and tired, especially when I walk. My sister is a nurse and I had her look at it and she said it looks fine but I am concerned about the pain. Hey omg they r so dam painful im 31 weeks and still working full time manager and have had to drop a few of my shifts coz I just cant handle it I wear compression stocking everyday and have for years coz iv had a blood clot( intramuscular vein thrombosis) before and that was dam painful do u elevate ur legs above ur heart level that gives me a huge sense of relief and keeps me goin a lil longer my feet go tingly but its a gd feeling

If you have such a problem, it is better to be cautious about your diet and exercise. Such veins can cause venous pooling, slowing of blood and clot formation. I have just begun a new birth control pill after some problems with my hormone levels and am also on the end of my recent period - could this be causing it? I read that it can if you are on the pill and have imbalanced hormones - such as being pregnant or on your period. Will they fade or disappear when my hormone levels are balanced?
