Recently I had to go to the Hospital because the VENTILAN aerosol was not producing any effect. There they gave my a prescription for an asthma control medicine named here in Portugal MAIZAR (50µg Salmeterol/250µg Fluticasona Propionate) which I'm taking twice a day with excellent results. I believe this medicine is also known as ADVAIR in other countries.
To my knowledge Advair® (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) has not been linked to strokes. Have you heard anything about this in the lay press?
I take Advair, (Fluticasone propionate / Salmeterol) once a daily inhaled. My asthma is not controlled without Advair, but is stable with one dose daily. I would like to take Harmine alkaloids (Harmine, Harmaline), but I'm not sure if Salmeterol is safe to take with Harmine alkaloids as they are MAOI (reversible MAOI however) are they safe to combine? There's a difference between "exercise induced asthma" (EIA) and asthma. I know, I'm a college wrestler and I have both. And yes, I was prescribed albuterol as a prevention medicine before every practice and every match.

I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. One medication may have been developed first and others later that are somewhat similar chemically and in the same chemical family but they may be completely different medications. I take Methocarb and that is prescribed for me to control dystonic spasms. It is an anti spasmodic. Meprobamate is an anti anxiety medication.
Any of these medications can be prescribed for other purposes as determined by a doctor or psychiatrist or other treating professional.
I tried similac and it didnt sit well with them. I know a lot of moms who used similac and were good with it.
