percocet

Avatar m tn i had knee surgery at end of Dec. and am just now coming off the pain pills and am going nuts. I'm sure its the percocet but am alittle confused about the difference between Percocet and the oxycontin as they both have said....OXYCODONE... on the label is the oxy just a time release percocet?
Avatar m tn What's the difference between Ultram ER and Tramadol? I've been taking/abusing Ultram ER 200mg. To get off these things my Dr switched me to Tramadol 50mg. 1-2 4 times daily w/2 extra strength Tylenol. I'm feeling lethargic. I slept fine but I'm just tired and I'm jumpy. For those who have not read my journal this all started after being struck by lighting in June. I'm assuming what I'm felling is a difference between Ultram and Tramadol.
Avatar f tn is ultracet a combo of ultram and loracet?....some peopl r different i guess....like i could take my percosets as prescribed but oxycontin i couldnt......and it takes time to get addicted......as u know since u have been addicted to vicodin......beware....
558096 tn?1255887002 Actually the molecule difference between oxycontin and heroin is 3, not so similar with percacet .......... and how you use i.e orally snorting smoking oxycontin has a huge impact on your addiction and the tolerance and the effects on your body. There is a difference between these drugs.
Avatar f tn If you take 10 ultracet per day you'll be getting 3250 mg of tylenol, the maximum therapeutic dose if 4000 mg per day. So you should make sure you don't exceed the max dose prescribed by your doctor and make sure you don't exceed 4000 mg per day and I would recommend getting your liver checked also here and there. Here is an old thread talking about the differences between Ultram (which is just tramadol) vs. Ultracet (which is lower dose tram with added acet).
Avatar m tn Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Avatar f tn I have been self medicating myself for god knows how many years. I just recently was taking ultracet, percocet and vicodin for over a year. At very low doses but doing it everyday. Today is my second day off. It ***** of course I feel very down and that my only window to being happy is gone. Now I have been diagnosed with depression and it never really felt like that's what it was to me. In talking to my doc (who doesn't know about my addiction) She diagnosed me with ADD.
Avatar f tn not exactly..oxy in theory is a bit stronger than hydro..and sub is a different type of narcotic than the other 2..but conversoin charts do compare the strength of sub to other narcotics..but it is not really the effect they r comparing//but the strength...i do believe there is a conversion chart in avisg's journal...
Avatar f tn I am a 43 year old male. I am recovering from a herniated disk surgery. This is my second surgery on my L5 disk in the past 16 years. I had immediate relief from the surgery as it related to the excruciating pain that went down my leg and through my hip area and it was quite an emotional experience to say the least. I didn't want to sleep the night I had the surgery because I had endured the pain for several months prior to the surgery.
Avatar f tn What is the difference between Oxycontin and percocet? I mean, I know Oxycontin is slow release, but percocet is Oxycodone and how is that different from the Oxycontin? I thought they were the same only, one was slow release and one was not, but there must be another difference... Right?
Avatar f tn What is the exact difference between hydrocodone/Vicodin/ loratab and oxycodone/ Percocet? I know Percocet is supposed to be lil stronger but what is the real difference? Does one work better on other pains? What's the difference btw hydro and oxy? Thanks!!
Avatar m tn I just came home from wally world, talked to the pharmisitist, $56 for Ultracet they said take tramadol and tylnnol, its the same thing, and you can get tram for $8 a script, And ultacet has 37.5mg of tram and tramold has 50mg, so I think I will tuff it out and see what PT dose it has helped with pain in the past. Man drug co. are tricky.
Avatar f tn Schedule II drugs are usually narcotic, stimulant, and depressant drugs. These include drugs such as Percocet and Ritalin. There are many more. Schedule III, IV and V Drugs include those containing smaller amounts of certain narcotic and non-narcotic drugs, anti-anxiety drugs, tranquilizers, sedatives, stimulants, and non-narcotic analgesics. Valium, Codeine and Vicodin are some examples and again there are many more. I'm sure you know that Gabapentin is not a scheduled drug.
197575 tn?1215532624 Is there a difference between a complex nodule and a complex cystic nodule? I know complex means both solid and cystic. My friend's ultrasound call it a complex cystic nodule. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I am a music minister in an Evangelical Bible Church and have just had my second back surgery. My back feels great! I had unbearable pain for only a year (not much compared to some of the posters on here (7+ years of back pain, how do you do it?)). Throughout my year of pain, my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone (from 5's to eventually 10's) and tramadol 50mg (which I took with tylenol 50/500 - making it basically generic ultracet).
Avatar m tn "cet" means tylenol..like ga guy said...not all drugs with tylenol say "cet" tho...lortab does not...percocet and lorcet do...but they all contain tylenol///ultracet is tam with tylenol....Ultram is just tramadol///tramadol is the generic name and Ultam is a brand name Trams do have both an AD quality causing increased seratonin/which is the same action as many popular ADs...zoloft, lexapro, prozac paxil, celexa...
Avatar f tn Your other medications are in no way contraindicated as a combination. The only difference between Percocet and Suboxone is that Percocet is a pure opiate whereas the Suboxone is an opioid receptor antagonist as well. My question to you is whether you trust your doctor and if not, why not? You need to decide if you want to continue to take his/her advice. Nothing in what the doctor recommended was questionable, so what is it that leads you to be nervous? Is s/he not open to your questions?
590280 tn?1310087366 Whats the difference between say a percocet 512, vicodin ES to a 5mg oxycodone generic for percolone
Avatar f tn The prescription is for Oxycodone HCL. I asked my doctor what the difference between this and regular Oxycodone 5/325 APAP was, and he stated that the one I'm on doesn't have Tylenol in it. He said that the APAP stood for Tylenol, not the CET; Because I asked about that, too. Weird, huh?
Avatar f tn My husband just had his Gallbladder removed and he was addict for 13 years he's been clean for 7 the dr prescribed him Ultracet and he's scared to take it for the pain because of his addictive past. The Dr knew he was a addict and told him they are not addictive but reading online it says it is should he get the script filled or just take OTC meds? If OTC what should he take?
1271743 tn?1320892461 Everyone reacts differently to different medicines. The only difference between Combunox and percocet is the added ingredient. Percocet has acetaminophen and the Combunox has ibuprofen. It just depends on what works best for you and you will have to try each one to see how it would work for you. Percocet comes in various strength's and to my understanding the combunox only comes in one which is 400mg ibuprophen/ 5 mg oxycodone.
Avatar n tn ultracet it highly addictive as well. The withdrawl is VERY bad .
