What you describe is probably being caused by the inhaled steroid (ICS) in these 2 preparations fluticasone in the Advair® and budesonide in the Symbicort®. And, it may be dose related, so that the first step would be for you and your doctor to consider reducing the strength of the ICS. You may be able to get optimum therapeutic benefit, with diminished side-effects, at the lower dose.
I have j been to an ENT for my sinus problem (i.e addiction to nasal spray and nose blockage. He had given me antibiotics (course is over) . He has also given me flixonase (fluticasone propionate) nasal spray, a solophar mouth/throat spray (Dequalinium chloride '0.015gm, benzalkonium chloride 0.035gm, alcohol 6% by volume) and Fexet (Fexofenadine:120mg) to have for one month. My course ends round about 25 september 2011.

We have seen two Dermatologists (different practices) a family doctor and an allergist to no avail. Both Dermatologists have have said its eczema but there has been no change in the condition despite their treatment. NOTHING stops the itching and its almost impossible not to scratch.
I have tried valacyclovir pills, eczema cream, antibacterial ointments, proactive, petroleum jelly, blistex, fluticasone propionate cream and have iced it and there has been no difference. Someone please help!!!

But my doctor prescribed me to apply mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream twice a day for 3 days and no moisturizer with a Cafadroxil Tablet. I am bit worried about the dryness and healing part. Over all my skin type is oily. But till now what I have heard after a laser resurfacing moisturizer is must. I used mometasone furoate (a topical steroid cream) last night (for the first and ONLY time) on the base of my penis due to a minor skin allergy. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.

I continued using the nasal corticosteroid for the rest of the week which seemed to reduce the phlegm, but I noticed that i would get indigestion after eating followed by excessive belching and nausea at night.

Drug should be taken when necessary and should not be repeated in short interval. Fluticasone mainly acts as anti inflammatory drug and has no action on heart. There were no other treatments or procedures to go through; and based on the primary characteristics of the tumor, my oncologist told me he was 95 - 98% sure I would not have any problems from this.
I recently heard about this allergy nasal spray called Veramyst and called my physician for a perscription. They told me they could not perscribe because of my melanoma diagnosis.
To my knowledge Advair® (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) has not been linked to strokes. Have you heard anything about this in the lay press?
I called and asked and she just said to also take phenlyeprine (sudaphed PE) and guaifenesin (Mucinex).
These help quite a bit, but they make me jittery and queasy, I have to pee really often, and I'm still sleepy from the other stuff, and I still have some congestion and sore throat.
So what do I do now? Did I just get really horrible genetics and there's nothing I can do?
I had posted here before about a different condition, but I noticed something the other day that concerned me a little. I noticed that there was some redness on my scrotum and a slight burning sensation. I had been in a thermal pool the day earlier, so I thought it might be something like contact dermatitis. I went to the doctor he prescribed mometasone furoate cream. I haven't noticed any burning sensation as I had earlier this week but the redness has remained.
Question, do the Flovent and Advair have the fluticasone propionate ingredient in common? Tonight will be my 1st use of the Flovent.

what is the difference between addiction and dependence? I was reading another post and someone mentioned that he/she thought someone was dependent not addicted.. I'm just curious. Thanks in advance for any responses.
