loestrin

993114 tn?1249429629 I went and got a pap done about two weeks ago, at that time i was also tested for chlamydia and gono. My chlamydia came back postive. My first dose of Azithromycin i threw up nearly two hours after taking it, after taking a second dosage, and keeping it down i assume everything would be fine and dandy. Unfortunately, that was about 8 days ago, and i'm still experiencing a bloody discharge. As a side note, I also started my birth control again (Microgestin).
Avatar f tn t had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
Avatar f tn I am now on Microgestin 1/20 Fe generic version of Loestrin. Anyway what does anyone know about this? Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?
Avatar f tn Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill. The only thing that I have done probably incorrectly with pill use is only a couple of times I took it maybe an hour and a half/two hours late. I’ve spotted quite often- not as badly as before.
Avatar n tn Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.
Avatar n tn I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn I am on the oral contraception Lo Loestrin Fe and I just started my placebo pills of my second pack yesterday. I was on this BC last year for 3 months then got off because of breakthrough bleeding constantly- tried Microgestin and it was awful so I decided to try this pill again. I've bleed quite a bit on this pill with spotting. My last period was from Feb 4-10th. Then I had unprotected sex (pull out method) on Feb 11th and 14th.
Avatar n tn I'm currently on microgestin 1.5/30 and I take it continuously and consistently, meaning I don't break for a period. Two weeks ago I had break through bleeding for about four days, last week was normal and today, break through bleeding again. It's a lot heavier than typical spotting that lasts about a day. Any suggestions, tips, or recommendations??
Avatar f tn per bloodwork, I am only in perimenopause and am on day 5 of Lo Loestrin. Has anyone had success feeling better on this bcp and did it take a couple of cycles to really notice. I get these periodic heart palps and adrenaline rushes throughout the day. I'm still taking flaxseed oil and evening primrose to help control, but am really hoping the Lo Loestrin makes a difference. Has anyone done well taking bcp for their peri symptoms?
197575 tn?1215532624 Is there a difference between a complex nodule and a complex cystic nodule? I know complex means both solid and cystic. My friend's ultrasound call it a complex cystic nodule. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I liked it better then Loestrin, since while on Loestrin I had breakthrough bleeding every single day. (So annoying.) But even with Femcon, I had breakthrough during the third week, but I was reading that a lot of women get breakthrough bleeding during the first couple of months.
Avatar f tn Let me just start off by saying the worst decision of my life was starting on microgestin. I started taking microgestin last July and within days I was feeling dizzy and i called my ob and she advised me to keep taking them that my body just had to get used to them. So I did. About a week later I suffered from my 1st panic attack at a meeting at work. Then I knew it was from microgestin. So I took myself off of them.
1741212 tn?1310996224 It is usally a lot darker than a normal period and doesnt last as long. Taking Microgestin can cause bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed/irregular periods, especially during the first few months of use. You should take a pregnacy test just to make sure. Also because you have stopped taking your birthcontrol, your cycle and body is changing. Which can also cause a change in your period.
Avatar m tn I am two weeks into my first pack of Lo Loestrin and I had unprotected sex about 5 weeks ago. I had awful cramps and some bleeding today but it stopped. Is this normal?
Avatar n tn Help - has anyone had a rash with Loestrin - I have been itching and have rash on stomache chest and back. I also experienced terrible depression that put me in a zombie state. I only used this drug for one week and my doctor took me off. Did anyone experience these symptoms???
1674462 tn?1304114750 ve been on the ortho series until I was 32 and the Loestrin (24 and 28) up until my pregnancy and continued it after pregnancy. Both made a big difference. Only now am I feeling more 'inflammatory' like pain. But they said I definately have adhesions (ovary wrapped behind my uterus). I possibly might begin menopause (hot flashes). But all I can say is that birth control pills definately gave me a life. I would try them. Never been on Yaz. You can always get off of them.
Avatar n tn I am on Loestrin 24 and had the same issue. I also have cramps the week before, during, and after my period. I have cramps for like three weeks out of the month. They seem to be getting worse too. And I am crazy emotional. Do you have any other side effects?
Avatar f tn Have you tried any other pills? You might just be sensitive to the type of estrogen and progesteron Microgestin uses or need a different balance, etc., to not experience the mood symptoms. I had issues with sensitivity to smell, nausea, and other things, but I changed the time I took it. However, I think you need to talk to your gynecologist about trying something else as you're getting mood symptoms.
Avatar n tn It is a very flawed mechanism as it in no way differentiates between fat and muscle weight and only tests such as the pinch test will give you a *closer*-to-accurate view. My assumption would be that IF obese people need a higher dose of birth control it would be quite a bit above the 30% range. I was near that before I lost weight, and I didn't have any issue.
Avatar f tn I just took the next pill in another pack when I was on bc if not it will mess u up
Avatar f tn Importantly, differences between subtype 1a and 1b (by far the most frequently encountered genotype 1 subtypes in clinical practice) include different efficacies of antiviral drugs and different resistance profiles to such drugs. Indeed, several HCV inhibitors appear to have selective activity against different HCV genotype 1 subtypes, both in vitro and in vivo....
Avatar m tn what is the difference between addiction and dependence? I was reading another post and someone mentioned that he/she thought someone was dependent not addicted.. I'm just curious. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Avatar n tn One medication may have been developed first and others later that are somewhat similar chemically and in the same chemical family but they may be completely different medications. I take Methocarb and that is prescribed for me to control dystonic spasms. It is an anti spasmodic. Meprobamate is an anti anxiety medication. Any of these medications can be prescribed for other purposes as determined by a doctor or psychiatrist or other treating professional.
Avatar f tn I tried similac and it didnt sit well with them. I know a lot of moms who used similac and were good with it.
