loestrin

Avatar n tn Oh and I was mistaken I'm on lo Loestrin fe
Avatar f tn I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Avatar m tn I was taking Loestrin Fe and had alot of spotting the first month (not necessarily while having sex). I also had more spotting in the third month. I told my doctor & she said that the hormones were too low for me. I would let your doctor know and see if there might be a better one out there for you.
Avatar m tn I am just SO nervous that I am going to gain weight and my running will be negatively impacted on the lo loestrin fe. Does anyone know if lo loestrin fe causes any weight gain or does anyone have any positive/negative experience with it?
Avatar f tn Hello, I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
Avatar f tn ive recently been put on loestrin fe and have been experiening changes.what should i do??
Avatar f tn I was taking lo loestrin 24 fe, never missed a pill and I got pregnant on it too. My doctor says he is not worried, but I was (of course).
Avatar f tn Okay so I really need help. I went on a date like 2 weeks ago. The guy fingered me with a little bit of precum on his fingers. We didn't have sex or anything. The thing is, my period is late. I'm on Loestrin 24 FE. I forgot to take one about a week before this happened but I continued taking them at around the same time every day. I'm on the 3rd brown pill out of 4 and my period still just isn't here. I'm scared. I usually start on the 2nd brown pill.
Avatar f tn So I've been taking Lo loestrin fe for 3 weeks. A week before taking it, I had my period. After taking it, I got it again. I understand that it's normal to get it after first starting. My problem is that it's now been 2 weeks that I've been on my period. Is this still normal?
Avatar f tn Since it is my first month on the pill I worried I may become pregnant and read that Lo loestrin fe, if taken in doses of 2 pills after sex, and two pills 12 hours later, can act as a plan b type pill. Because of this, I'm on the sugar pills 3 days earlier than I should be and was wondering if this mischeduling can cause a pregnancy? Everything I read said the pill is very effective if taken correctly and no pills are missed or skipped.
Avatar f tn I was taking to Loestrin Fe for a while. I took it in the morning with water. I seemed to have a little bit of heartburn, but after I ate something it got better. I also was diagnosed with Endo. I had some problems with spotting for a while with Loestrin Fe so my Dr. switched me to a different pill. It's a generic version with more hormones.
Avatar n tn So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin. Im going to go on the generic of Loestrin, Junel Fe, which worked for me in the past and I think its 21 days of the pill and than 7 days of the "period" part. As much as I dread my period, it's a reassuring thing.
Avatar f tn I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly? Thanks so much!
Avatar m tn I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for 5 months but my doctor switched me to Lo Loestrin 24 Fe because she thought I needed a lower dose, as I kept getting recurring yeast infections. The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack.
Avatar n tn I eat a low fat diet and exercise daily, but I am on loestrin FE. Yesterday I noticed a feeling of stiffness in my ear and jaw that has continued through today. Is this indicative of a serious problem? Should I go to the ER?
Avatar f tn ve been on lexapro for two months and wellbutrin. I take Loestrin FE as well. I feel a lot better. I was really depressed on Ortho Cyclen birth controls...
Avatar m tn I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year now. I take it regularly and consistently, but vomited a few hours after taking one pill of this month's pack. I'm on the second day of the placebo pills now, and I did not have a period last month at all. My boyfriend and I have been having sex, without using condoms, for 5 months and everything has been fine, but I'd like some reassurance. Could missing that one pill in the first week of pills cause me to be pregnant?
Avatar f tn My boyfriend ejaculated inside me last week for the first time since I’ve been on birth control (Lo Loestrin Fe, 1 year/4 months) and I’ve been stressed out ever since. I just completed my pill pack and started experiencing brown gooey discharge yesterday on the second to last brown pill and I don’t know if this is my period or could possibly be implantation bleeding.
Avatar m tn ) This is a normal reaction to birth control and not a sign of pregnancy correct? I was previously on Lo Loestrin Fe and never got periods with this pill.
Avatar f tn m not sure which birth control pill you are taking, but I assume it is Loestrin 24 Fe from your title. Yes, it is a little unusual that you started bleeding so early on after starting your birth control pills and that you have been bleeding for so long. It may be related to the fact that you haven't had a period for 2.5 years. Your uterine lining has been building up for 2.5 years. Remember normally, your uterine lining is shed every month. But you have not had a period for 2.
Avatar f tn I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 7 months now, and I have semi-regular, light periods. I may have had unprotected intercourse on the 30th of September, but I bled on my placebo pills when expected, although very lightly. Could this possibly be implantation bleeding, or am I just paranoid?
Avatar f tn Hello. I am on my 3rd year of being on Loestrin 24 FE and in the first month or two I had the regular spotting and breakthrough bleeding. However, in the past couple of months I have experienced spotting and breakthrough bleeding all over again and that is not normal for me. What could be going on? I take my pill at the same time daily and there haven't been any changes of lifestyle.
Avatar f tn It's normal to not get a period on lo loestrin fe. I take it also and don't get a period. The dosing is extremely low so it's not uncommon. I am mid cycle tho and having period like cramps- I don't know what's going on with that. You should take a pregnancy test.
Avatar n tn Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.
Avatar n tn My gf had not been on birth control for a year or more. She began taking Lo Loestrin Fe on Oct. 20, the first day of her period. The side effects (increased acne, severe anxiety and depression, emotional lability) were so severe for her that she decided to stop before the pack was done. I believe she took roughly 2 weeks and a few days of the pack (maybe 3 weeks total), then quit them because she was so miserable.
