avelox

Since then the pain is in my shoulder, collar bone, mid arm (between the shoulder and elbow), elbow and wrist. My elbow is now very sore after typing or writing if it's not well supported on a desk. Although it doesn't hurt to the touch. My range of motion has decreased and I'm losing strength as well as the same symptoms are beginning in my R arm now. I've had an xray which showed nothing. Went to PT but wasn't getting better.
I was so annoyed when he said there is no proven connection between allergies and dizziness. He's now ordered an MRI and additional balance tests and has started talking about ruling out tumors, etc. Thanks for sharing your stories. It always surprises me how many non-allergist MD's don't understand how allergies can affect the body.
I then started to experience intermitant sensations of what I can only describe as light numbness and pins and needles in both my hands and feet, but primarily on my left sided extremeties.I would also occassionaly get these sensations on a small area of my left thigh. These sensations regularly come and go, but last seconds rather than minutes/hours.
This pain would intensify which would cause me to wince in pain and then release and then repeat all over again every 5-10 seconds for about a minute. This pain did not radiate anywhere but only within a specific point. Then this same stabbing sensation occurred half way up to the first knuckle of my right middle finger about 30 minutes later. Then immediately following this finger pain I felt pain in my right foot at the joint of my middle toe.
Ughhh dont get me started on Levoquin or Avelox and Cipro. Dreadful Antibiotics and they should be taken off the market.. I only took one Avelox and experienced some alarming side effects.levoquin was a littel easier but after 5 days i could hardly get out of bed because i hurt so much and the nightmares where just alarming.Ok nothing to do with Menopause i know..sorry..I,m also going through Meno and my skin has gotten very dry and kinda saggy... Miserable isnt it.

Hello Doctors. I wanted to reply as a follow-up. Basically right after the last post I stopped taking Avelox, waited 3 weeks and got NAAT PCR tested for Gon, Chlam, Trich, Mycoplasmases, Ureas, Candidas, and even blood work for Hep A, B, C. everything Negative. I had also taken my wife to the dr. but he didn't want to test her because she didn't have symptoms.
I would suggest -try eating a banana with your Breakfast and see if there is a difference and to check that any salt reduction you have made affects the cramps. I can remember with all the hype about salt being bad for the heart and cutting my intake down, resulted in aching muscles. So I counteract this (when fell walking) and always take a bag of ready salted crisps.
I took 5 days of avelox for a sinus infection, but it wasn't working, so I went through 2 bouts of Cefprozil (24 days worth), but that was over 2 months ago, and I had 90% of these symptoms before I took those, so I doubt if it was the avelox or cefprozil. I had taken avelox and levaquin a few times over a dozen or so year span and never had a problem with them. The muscle spasms/tremors/twitches started happening about a day after I got that flu vaccine...
I had bronchitis, was treated with oxygen, Medrol IV(prednisone), IV of Avelox and sent home on Prednisone 50 mg 1 tablet for 5 days and Avelox 500 mg 1 tablet for 7 days. Then after all congestion was gone I had no smell or taste whether it would be something good or bad, sweet or salty..I only can go by texture of food which is not very satisfying. I need to lose weight and only eat if I am experiencing hunger pains or my stomach growls. I fi8nished the antibiotic 1-9-09 and it is now 1-28-09.

I will repeat, I do not quite understand why your doctor did not use riba this last attempt and I do not quite agree with their statement about no difference between genotype 1A and 1-B response. Please make sure and double check the doctors recommendations against various responses on this forum before your next TX. (It costs nothing to get confirmatory opinions) Also, do pay attention to the next Liver conference; AASLD this fall.
The most common areas for me are the thighs, thumbs (the webbing between the thumb and pointer fingers), calves, triceps, and abdomen. If I'm busy, whether physically or mentally, I don't notice the twitching as much. Once I sit down in the evening, I twitch constantly. My left tricep will twitch then two seconds later my right thigh will twitch, then another body part, etc... Also, it is usually only one spasm. I'm fairly certain I have had every diagnostic test performed.
It still did not work, I went to my regular doc and had a chest x-ray and they told me I had Pneumonia and he gave me Levaquin. In the meantime I took some Asthma tests (per my doctor's suggestion) and found out I have Asthma. I was given Pulmicort and MaxAir. My cough still wasn't going away and my tongue was extremely swollen. I went to the walk-in once again, they gave me a Nebulizer Treatment,Prednisone, and Nystatin for oral thrush.
I am 34 years old. I starting noticing recently that certain meals would send me off into bad cramps, gas and sometimes almost feeling feverish or drunk afterwords. I am in the medical profession and I must say, if I am honest with myself, it began with constant sinus infections in my 20's.. Sinus infections and yeast infections that I attributed to stress and the diet of a student..
I couldn't stop blowing it and I found tiny little black specks in what I blew out. It got so bad the middle part of my nose and the space between my nose and mouth became very swollen, so much so that when I smiled you couldn't even see my upper teeth...even worse, my teeth were all loose and I thought they'd be falling out! Then my thumb (?!) began to hurt and a boil-like thing started forming on it.
You have to cut the gaps between the bottons, and around them with a razor so it funtions okay. Also note that the wheel being a synthetic may do the same thing to you if you use it. So don't during testing. And if this it it, then you have a mild allergy to plastic. Thus you can clear coat with a non allergen which is very hard to block out allergen. But it bleeds into the clearcoat if it is not fast drying. So use Lacquer, For those properties. And 9 thin coats will be enough!
It seems to come from inside my right quad about halfway between my knee and hip. I cannot feel the vibration with my hand and it is not a muscle twitch. I started a really stressful job about 3 months ago and have developed this and a strange lower-eyelid twitch in my left eye, so I assume they're both stress related. I'm gonna drink a beer and calm down.
Fine tremors can also be caused my mercury poisoning. Do you have amlagam/mercury fillings in your mouth? have you ever had a heavy metal test? I have started to get my fillings replaced and my "fine tremors" have begun to lesson, although not gone. They started about 3 years ago. ALSO if you are undiagnosed hypo or hyper thyroid..a sigh of hyper is tremors as well. And you can 'swing" back and forth between hyper and hypo. What have you deduced since you first posted?
I would have never beleived that I could go this low. My doctor thinks I am depressed. He doesn't know the difference between weak and fatigue.
Wow! I can't believe there are so many others having these same problems. I live in North Carolina, am a 45-year old male, and have had sinus issues for years. Since approximately early October, I have had severe sinus headache, pressure, dizziness (off balance feeling), and a general lethargic feeling. I went to my GP, who prescribed Augmentin, which did nothing. Last week, I saw an ENT, who prescribed Prednisone for 6 days, Levaquin, Ambifed, and Nasonex. Talk about being medicated!
Now my eyes feel like they are crossed and when i talk to someone and look at them, it seems like my eyes get more and more blurry to where i have to look away. Everything looks dull and it seems like my eyes can't focus to objects correctly. Besides that, i'm always feeling confused and feelings of being in a fog...like everything around me is going on around me while im not there...occasionally i will get a twitch as well. I can't concentrate on anything nor think straight at all...
I have been treated for prostatitis with multiple two week cycles of doxycycline, (2) six week cycles of levaquin, (2) 30 day cycles of amiltrytilene and Utira-C with no effect. As a treatment for potential interstitial cystitis I've taken Elmiron for 2-3 months with no effect. I've tried three cortizone based creams. None of these has had any effect on the symptoms. I changed underwear style, laundry detergent and soap in case it was fabric or allergy related. No effect.
and after Prednisone tapers, Zithromax, and Levaquin and more steroids and inhalers, I am off the meds (which, now I believe that I felt worse on them than before I started them) and still having episodes of feeling as though I cannot get my breath which in turn make it worse because then anxiety kicks in! I have been racking my brain to figure out what in the world brought all of this on. I am 36 and a slim build.
I can put my hand to my throat and grab my hyoid between thumb and forefinger at any time, and feel both back ends right under the skin. They are just about exactly as wide as the vertebrae behind them, and they seem to bump up and down along the muscles surrounding the spine as I swallow. Without pulling forward, I can twist the hyoid from side to side, causing one end or the other to protrude from the side of my neck far enough to get a fingertip behind the protruding end.
Remember "mdmystery" from the last PATM message board, who was cured after only drinking a small glass of red wine each night and doing a lemon/lime enema every 3 days? I was looking for a connection between the red wine and our problems. This is what I found: "Resveratrol and red wine extracts inhibit the growth of CagA+ strains of Helicobacter pylori in vitro." http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1489755 http://lib.bioinfo.pl/pmid:17230601 Hmmm...
