Avatar f tn I'm sure your baby is fine, babies have a way of draining our bodies of nutrients and they will get what they need by doing so whether we are eating healthy or not,Lol... So it essential for YOUR health as well as baby's to maintain healthy habits. Just try to order salads off the menus and other healthy items like you've been doing, and be sure to take your daily prenatal vitamins. Oh, and LOTS of water!!
Avatar f tn Hi, the Military Diet is also known as the three day diet. It's where you eat very specific food and small amounts in order to loose weight quickly. It's a bit of a fad diet but as long as you stick to a normal diet after, you shouldn't put it back on. I have included a link to the website which explains it all.
Avatar f tn Here is the answer to this question. In order to lose weight, you have to subtract calories. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase exercise to use an additional 250 calories. Changing up calorie counts and exercises will help prevent plateau.
Avatar m tn Gingr has given you some marvelous ideas that I fully endorse. Granted, it is easier to purchase pet food but you can develop a diet that is balanced and nutritious from what you are eating. Once a dog gets that taste for something it likes, it often takes gentle, prolonged persuasion to get it to try something new. Even if the proprietary food is not of premium quality, you might still need to use it as a base of what you feed your mixed breed dog.
Avatar f tn The most important thing to remember is to limit servings to 1 portion or if you eat more than one portion of a food, you will need to cut back on another food. If you're going to eat multiple portions of a food, make it veggies without heavy sauces.
Avatar f tn Now she has only gotten an upset stomach (mucus and urge to go) maybe once. I would like to know what would be the best food to give her and if any vitamins should be given in addition (can you also recommend one). I was concerned since she was getting older and that is why I am now considering a new diet but I am confused to which of all the products in the market is the best food. She behaves like a very healthy and active dog otherwise. Her apetite is fine too.
Avatar n tn The g-pact website that was given earlier to you I have found very helpful and they mailed me a card to show when I go out to restraunts to eat so that they will allow me to order off the kids menu or share a plate with someone else. Let's face it,no one wants to let a 26-year old order a kids meal. I've used it a few times and have found it handy.
Avatar m tn me friends are advicing me to eat but i am afraid that my weight will return. so i was wondering if u can tell me a kind of diet for me to stay healthy and to maintain my weight.
706214 tn?1244523049 It sounds like you might just need to ask whomever does your cooking to try not to use a lot of fat for food preparation and add lots of fresh fruits and veggies, plus watch your portion sizes, along with staying active.
Avatar m tn In addition to the food that contained the 20 grams of fat, I also made sure I ate some solid food (as opposed to just liquid, like eggnog). So I would eat some regular food and then drink a cup of eggnog for the fat. Other times, especially for the 6 am and the 10 pm doses, I usually ate regular Greek yogurt, about 8 ounces for 20 grams of fat, (I always ate more to be on the safe side, lol), and then I also ate a couple of pieces of toast or some cooked cereal or an egg.
4274823 tn?1388529098 Thank you very much for your response. I agree with you about picking battles. I'm just concerned about the fact that I read the following when I requested a printout about Synthyroid, levothyroxine from the local drug store: "Precautions: Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: decreased adrenal gland function ..." I believe my doctor (GP) has not done enough to rule out the possibility that this is part of my problem.
Avatar f tn i am about sixty pounds over weight and i want to order this product, however i dont have a lot of money,so i would like to know if this has worked for anyone besides the people in the articles they sent me..
1088509 tn?1352236247 Yes, I have heard of it -- I can't tell you for sure whether or not it's safe, but I will say that YES, you are most likely to regain any weight you lose as soon as you stop, since that is not a diet that you will maintain for the rest of your life. You would do much better to implement small changes and lose the weight slowly and safely in order to be able to maintain the loss.
2215568 tn?1339764975 The body produces this hormone to ensure that the fetus is able to get the necessary food and nutrient it needs to develop normally. It allows the fetus to access the mother’s abnormal fat stores. The ability to access tap these stores allows the fetus to maintain a healthy weight regardless of the caloric intake of the mother. This is also how a fetus is able to maintain weight when a mother is ill or throwing up.
Avatar f tn s unhealthy to diet and count my calories, etc. Im really confused, because I know that in order to lose weight I have to know my daily calorie intake. But I also know that my body is still growing! The daily calorie intake this app is telling me to eat everyday in order to lose one kilogram per week is roughly 900 or so calories! I am also going to be working out. What should I do? Is this healthy for a 15 year old girl? If not, how else am I supposed to lose weight?
Avatar f tn I found that this made my motions more muddy/sludgy. Imagine a liquid spillage on the kitchen floor to which you add sawdust in order to be able to gather up the spillage more easily. Give it a try.
Avatar f tn The most you can hope to lose in a healthy manner is 3.5 to 4 kg in a month... In order to do that, you will have to confine your diet to high quality protein and lots of veggies, little fruit/sugar and good quality fats. Exercise is a major thing when it comes to losing weight, so you'll have to keep calories in check, as well as burn more calories.
Avatar m tn i thought about the same thing. it seems like we have to do the research on the food & supplements.
8762956 tn?1406304757 Otc diet pills dont work unless youre willing to commit to a healthier/low calorie diet. In order to lose weight you have to burn more calories then you take in. cut soda or any high suger drinks you like, try converting to smaller plates it tricks your mind so you wont eat a big portion.
Avatar m tn I am concerned that if I even eat one trigger food, my esophagus will swell up again. Has anybody started incorporating trigger foods into your diet? Also, I am concerned because I don't usually FEEL reflux. It is more silent, I think sometimes.
5973125 tn?1378575863 To pack on the pounds fast, simply intake more calories (eating a balanced diet) than you expend. Reverse is true; if you burn off more calories than you take in, then you will lose. You can gain eating a healthy diet, you don't need to go wild with one kind of food. I'm sure if you google "healthy diet for weight gain" you'll find all kinds of information.
Avatar f tn One of my dogs was recently put on HIll's Prescription Diet C/D. My question is, can I give my other dog the C/D as well? He does not need the prescription diet, and he is in good health, it's just easier to feed them the same food. My vet said it wouldn't hurt him, but does the C/D provide the correct nutrients etc. for a healthy dog? Would it be better to continue him on his normal food, or is there no harm in feeding him the C/D? Thanks!
1389971 tn?1280185901 I don't believe in diets to be honest.I think the only way to get thin and remain thin is to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Which means avoiding junk food, fried/greasy food and sweets and eat vegetables, fruit, legumes, fish and low fat meat. Don't skip breakfast, don't eat high in calories food after 8pm and if you get cravings and such eat a yogurt or a salad or a small bar of bitter chocolate. Also you should try working out one hour a day.
1314425 tn?1273909880 It might make sense to start by becoming vegetarian for a month, then transitioning to vegan, and then moving on to raw. If your goal is to stay with it longer term, this might be more effective.
484098 tn?1259527532 I AM GOING TO TRY THE RAW FOOD DIET WHILE I RECUPERATE FROM SURGERY. I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE SURGERY WILL BE, BUT I CAN GET STARTED ON WEANING MYSELF OFF OTHER FOODS SLOWLY BETWEEN NOW AND THE SURGERY. RIGHT? ANYWAY, I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL AFTER A MONTH ON THE DIET. OR IF I FEEL TREMENDOUSLY BETTER QUICKER, i'LL LET YOU KNOW.
