Diet pills with ephedrine

Common Questions and Answers about Diet pills with ephedrine

diet

Avatar m tn The thing that started me on the path to a-fib 13 yrs ago was ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine as found (or used to be found) in Nyquil. The ephedrine I got from Metabolife, a diet aid popular in the 90's. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole now. I'm not sure but I think epinephrine might cause problems too. Just always check the ingredients on the bottle and if there's any doubt call your Dr.s office or at least your local pharmacist.
Avatar n tn Ephedrine is horrible for diet. Look up ephedrine, it is no longer legal for diets because of the health risks.
Avatar n tn Take it from one who knows first-hand. It started with ephedrine-laced diet pills 12-14 yrs ago and has progressed into a 12 yr a-fib nightmare that may still culminate into an ablation. Really, the bad thing is once you get into this sort of pattern, its hard to get out of it. It's like a vicious cycle! Even my anti-arrythmia drugs have re-bounded me into arrythmia.
788350 tn?1236620199 my question is can ephedrine do anything for me. alot of my friends run ephedrine hcl in eca stacs for weight loss. obviously my reason for using would be different and not involve cafiene or asprin. what can it do for me and how to take it. also is there any other alternatives?
Avatar n tn (the old versions that had ephedra) as a diet/workout aid, and aside from having a more energetic workout, they really seemed to help with my depression. Now I have days where I can barely function at all due to depression, but if I take 12mg of ephedrine, some caffeine and 1/2 an aspirin I feel normal to great. I've only been on actual depression medications once - I took Paxil. It didn't seem to work well and the side effects of getting off it were horrible.
Avatar m tn t do what you are about to do, replacing sizzurp with codeine and ephedrine pills. I have abused both extensively, and pills are FAR worst with a lesser kick.
3198928 tn?1345253403 Im not to familiar with ephedrine withdrawal. Sorry. I just wanted to send some thoughts and support your way. It kinda sounds like you replaced one addiction for another though. You recognize that and that is good. Congrats on your clean time!! That is amazing. Apply the same principle you used to get off the opiates to this addiction as well. You can beat this!!
Avatar n tn Today i surveyed my blood pressure while resting in bed, and on a very light diet of fruits and vegetables. It was taken with a personal blood pressure machine at on both arms - no noticeable difference. These are the results: Systolic: 148; Diastolic: 69; Heart Rate: 64 *these are averages from a sample of 16 *outlier not included in sample: 181/72 after argument.
Avatar f tn When I was 22, I took the drugs adderall, lexapro and ephedrine/phentermine (diet pills-occasionally). One night, my heart rate shot up and would not come back down, don’t matter what I tried. I went to the emergency room and they said it was the drugs I was taking. When I was 23, I began having syncope episodes and got a pacemaker. Looking back, I believe the syncope episodes were caused by the adderall and lexapro. However, I have had chest pains ever since.
Avatar n tn Ephedrine is known to cause coronary artery spasm. Depending on how long the spasm last, one can have a heart attack related to it. This is why patients with this condition should always carry nitroglycerin with them at all times.
Avatar f tn Like mentioned above, you self-image was suffering before the ephedrine. CBT will be able to help you with redirecting your thinking and help you have a more positive view of yourself. The amino acid L-Phenylananine has helped many with amphetamine recovery. Personally, I would try some other nutritional options, before jumping straight the AD's or SSRI's. I don't know you or your doctor though, but drugs usually attack the symptoms, not the problem.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 23 male. About 8 months ago I took bodybuilding supplements such as no explode and ephedrine (which had yohimbe ephedrine caffeine and green tea in it). They weren't taken together, but at various cycles. In August I developed heart palpitations and chest pain.
Avatar f tn The metabolism you are born with it will chance during puperty, after that you will stay with it for the rest of your life, it does not increase if you take pills. You can help you metabolism, yes. but not increase the rate.
Avatar n tn I'd like to know what my blood test results may mean. I've taking diet pills (ephedrine/caffeine) for a few years. In last year my endurance has decline. About 8 months ago I started noticing Fatigue, memory problems, body aches and problems maintaining erections. I started taking pregnenolone and 7-keto DHEA thinking it would increase testosterone. I finally went to my doctor 2 1/2 months ago. He ordered blood tests.
Avatar f tn im 15 and i bought the diet pills liposlim not to be confused wit liposien and noware on the box does it say that people under 18 cant use the pills and i was wondering if its safe to use it?
Avatar f tn I desperately need advice on how to reduce or cope with the withdrawal symptoms from detoxing off of amphetamines and ephedrine. For months I have been taking very high doses of ADHD medication, Bronkaid, caffeine, and other misc over the counter sport / health supplements which also contain high doses of ephedrine, caffeine, etc. The dosage I'm currently taking is enough to give a horse a heart attack! Im at my breaking point where I cant take the dependence anymore.
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar f tn t work by themselves - you will need to eat sensibly and moderate exercise. In addition, most often any weight lost with diet pills usually comes back once you go off them. You will need to make changes that will sustain you over the long haul. Would love to see you take twehner5's advice and check out some of the journals and posts from others who have been successful. And don't let her fool you, twehner5 has done quite well for herself too.
Avatar f tn t change my diet, I do make sure I stay very active outside in the heat for extra sweating, I wrap my stomach with Saran Wrap every other day, OH MY GOD!!!!!! ;). You sweat even more in that area, if your stomach is like mine the only hard part is keeping the Saran from rolling up or down, so maybe get some help wrapping, you turn and hold stomach in as much as possible, while some else goes around your body top and bottom of stomach, you will know when it is enough. God bless you d be safe.
Avatar f tn Ephedrine is a central nervous system stimulant, and that can have heart rhythm implications such as increase heart rate, and if conditions involving arrhythmia as with WPW, the results of a fast heart rate with WPW may be difficult to predict. The prescribing doctor and/or the pharmacist may be in a better postion to answer your questions. Thanks for sharing, and wish you the best for healthful outcome.
20803283 tn?1513893720 m a bit confused, because I was under the impression that allergy meds containing ephedrine were banned a few years back. I guess you can still get them somehow. Basically, ephedrine is a stimulant found in the herb ephedra, or ma huang in Chinese. It has been used for centuries as a decongestant, and some use it as a stimulant. Because both ephedrine and its cousin pseudo-ephedrine can be used to make methamphetamine, regulators basically banned the stuff.
