Avatar f tn Jellyfish. Tiny nearly invisible jellyfish in the water happily swimming about doing their thing looking for other jellyfish to find happiness with and everlasting love. You don't have hives. You have jellyfish stings. Sometimes the reactions are so bad you have to be hospitalized.
Avatar n tn Hence allergy to fish will not make you allergic to jellyfish sting. However you could be very allergic to jellyfish as reaction to a jellyfish sting varies from person to person. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn So it might be a side effect of the migraine. Migraines are caused by problems with constriction of the blood vessels, but the cause of migraines can be from various causes. In this case, I might see a naturopath or holistic nutritionist and try a liver cleanse -- might be too late to do that, however, and to do that she would first have to stop taking medication, since liver cleansing washes out some of the medication with it.
Avatar n tn His pediatrician said it was from the allergic reaction from the portion of the shot that he reacted to deep into the layers of the skin/muscle areas. Eventually, in his case, it went away. I would ask/see a dermatologist to see if there's anything that can be done cosmetically if it bothers you. Sorry this happened -- jellyfish hurt a lot from what I've heard.
Avatar m tn A week and a half ago I had an insect bite on my right big toe and a few days later was stung by a jellyfish on the back of my left knee. The insect bite caused blisters around the site of the bite which eventually burst and appear to be healing. The jellyfish sting was painful and itchy, then oozed a lot, and is now drying out and fading. The question I have is what are some possible reasons I could be having additional rash continuing to spread on both legs?
Avatar f tn I live in Florida and the lifeguards all carry vinegar to put on jellyfish bites. You can mix up a combo of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray it on to take the sting away. Of course, the sting usually comes back after a while! Hate those Port. man o' wars!
Avatar f tn The thing is, every time I stop the antihistamines, I start getting incredible itching in the back of my throat, which then leads to a feeling of swollen tounge, itchy (especially hands), sneezing... etc. (would not mind sneezing but the itchy throat and feeling of not getting "air" is difficult to bear for long. I have always had some sort of mild dust mite allergy (I resulty positive for this) but the jellyfish sting made them way worse? Is this possible?
768015 tn?1333652075 Just your MP. Hopefully it means things will start happening soon! I'm 3 days to my due date and I don't have ANY discharge of any kind but I am dilated. So weird.
Avatar m tn I had both eyes treated for tears about 5 months ago, ever since then I put on a lot of pressure. My retina Dr saw me 2 months ago and has cleared me for international travel. My questions are: 1) should hiking on high altitudes/snorkeling be avoided after retina tear treatment? 2) what else to pay attention to during the travel? Thank you very much!
Avatar m tn I could never come clean with any of my family. I have come clean with my girlfriend and im on day two of detox. It *****.

1664097 tn?1302990302 I have stinging pain (feels sort of like jellyfish stings) on my upper arms and shoulders that comes and goes. Sometimes there are very tiny itchy pimple type bumps and sometimes it's where the bumps used to be. It's painful and nothing seems to relieve it. The doctor's best guess is eczema. I feel like it's nerve related since I've also had nerve pain pop up in my feet. When should I consult a neurologist? Or should I just accept it's from the fibromyalgia?
Avatar n tn After a couple of days on the beach, I start to develop a red, bumpy rash on the tops of my feet. By the end of the week it has spread out and formed masses of bumps, some of which blister and are almost clear. It spreads to the tops of all the toes and begins to creep up my ankles a little. The rash begins mildly ichy but becomes almost intollerable by the time we pack up to head home. Over the years, I've experimented to see what the cause is....
Avatar f tn My daughter was scratched by a jellyfish on vacation a few months ago. During a regular eye exam, the doctor noticed a corneal scar. It is on the side of the eye, not the iris or pupil. The doctor said that she wouldn't go blind, but I'm wondering if it will get worse and affect her vision in the future.
Avatar f tn Buty sons bed set is under the sea. Its blue and green mostly with octopuses, crabs and starfish and jellyfish its so cute I love it.
Avatar n tn Asked by Prince Albert the First of Monaco to investigate the toxicity of jellyfish stings, they showed that repeated challenge with minuscule amounts of antigen, far from guarding against disease, sometimes induces life-threatening reactions.
Avatar m tn You do not say where the beach is, nor which part of the body these spines get stuck into. There may be some creatures there that you cannot see and then get their spines stick into you. You either need to avoid going to the beach or wear protective footwear and clothing so as not to get the spines to stick into you. You are doing the right thing in pulling them out with the tweezers. You can also apply some antiseptic cream when you have plucked these out.
Avatar m tn I also have some weird jellyfish looking things in my semen too... Iv been tested multiple times. Avatar f tn Oh, let me add, I learned that the actual medical term has for a long time been panic attack disorder, but agoraphobia is still what most of us call it. It literally means fear of the marketplace, which is kind of odd, don't you think?
Avatar n tn t know, the yeast feeds on starch and sugar, so if you cut those out of your diet completely, and keep taking the probiotics, you will feel better in a few weeks or so.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any names of docs in Canada who deal with AD. We were vacationing in Australia, both got bit by jellyfish. I had AD for 3 months and it went away. He still has it after 2 years. He was healthy, young 35 yr old with no health issues. It's crazy, I could make a movie out of our experience. Any help is appreciated.
Avatar f tn I went to the beach today, and as soon as I got out of the ocean, I noticed a multitude of raised red welts (ranging from the size of a pen-tip to the size of a tic-tac) scattered about on my thighs and calves. They appeared nowhere else on my body. It is not razor stubble (I do not need to shave my legs above my knees, so I never have), and this "rash" (?
489725 tn?1280052553 hi all here's something's to ponder add some of your own if u wish to confuse us all Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Are part-time bandleaders semi-conductors? Can you buy an entire chess set in a pawn shop? Daylight savings time - why are they saving it and where do they keep it? Did Noah keep his bees in archives?
Avatar n tn We went swimming anyways. When we were in the water we noticed hundreds of little tiny jellyfish-like creatures. They looked like little thimbles. Anyways we had a blast, went home and woke up in the morning cooooovvvered in a rash, mysteriously, only in places like armpits, inside of the elbow, knee, groin etc.... We asked the locals and they said it was "agua male" and that the little jellyfish were laying eggs, and that the larvae somehow got into our skin.
