Avatar f tn both came back mostly fine expect MILD right atrial enlargement, dilated right ventricle(mild), dilated pulmonary arteries, PDA (small) and small secundum atrial septal defect vs. PFO (which I assume means they are not sure which diagnosis is true between the two). Lastly, PDA, left to right shunt, small again. should we bw concerned, and because our daughter is only 4 days old, isn't her heart still developing and possibly PDA and PFO will close on its own sooner than later?
Avatar m tn Diet is easy, avoid as much fat in your diet as possible, eat lots of vegetables and fruit and some nuts. Red meat is the highest fat content. What concerns me the most about your blockages is the LMCA, which is now 70%. It's right on the borderline for intervention. If you change your diet and avoid stress in your life, then there is a big chance that this disease will not get worse. It won't improve though, but you stop it progressing.
Avatar m tn You are co-dominant, so both the left circumflex and the rca feed the pda. However, the pda is blocked by 90%. Due to the blockage of the PDA which is at the back of the heart, they may recommend stenting because it's more fiddly doing bypass surgery at the back of the heart. If they are happy with the LAD as is, then I can only see 2 stents required here, one for the PDA and one for the OM2.
Avatar n tn However - if the freeware doesn't quite do what you want or you want something commerically supported with updates, the PDA applications at http://www.calorieking.com may be better for you. I personally am using CalorieKing's Diet Diary for the Palm PDA to quickly build meals and tally up carbs/calories. Although I don't use it as a diary, I like the fact I cn put together a meal at a restraunt in a minute and have a good handle on carbs/calories to bolus as close as possible.
Avatar f tn Normal and trifurcates into LAD,RI and LCX
Avatar f tn Also when I put my new weight when I log off from the application it, when I log back in it shows me the old one. I am thinking probably that's why the calories continue to decrease everyday.
Avatar m tn My 2 premature born daughters are 6 days old. When done the eco on 2nd day PDA & Muscular VSD presence shown in Eco. 1 baby is 1.5 Kgs and has PDA of 2.2mm which has just reduced 2mm with ibrufen medicine for first 5days. In 2nd baby it is 4mm PDA even after 5 days ibrufen medicine there is no reduction in size. Forunately both the babies are active taking almost 15ml milk feed. My concern is do we require any surgery to close this PDA.
Avatar m tn s a cardiologist who can stent this and get his normal native PDA artery back open.If the PDA is 100% blocked, then a nuclear perfusion scan would be valuable to determine how much muscle damage there is, if any.
Avatar n tn my son had his pda clamped at 2 weeks old. he weighed 2.13 lbs. he is now 7. if an emergency happened, could he be harmed by the paddles and shock in an er?
Avatar n tn Take care, Ken Long-term complications from surgery are rare.
Avatar n tn When I went in for a phyical the doctor detected a murmur about three years ago i believe. He then sent me to a cardiologist who then diagnosed me with the PDA. I'm not sure if the PDA would explain your problems (I never noticed anything when i had mine), but it probably wouldn't heart to get a referalto see the cardiologist.
Avatar m tn her VSD size is 3mm and mild PDA . She was seen by doctor suggested to wait until she is 3 months and stay under supervision and there is 90% for the hole to close until then. prescribed Lasix(centoxin),Lanoxin (frusin) And KT for her to start immediately. I know that Lasix has some side efects as to pottasium loss and water loss, is it dangerous for a newborn to be taking these medications . I am really worried for my baby.Is it safe to use the medication? Is it recomended to go for surgery??
Avatar m tn has been done in 2005 after he is having chest pain so that we did angiography test after test doctor said his svg to pda is 100% blocked and rest three LIMA to LAD SVG to OM and SVG to Diagonal is normal. due to 100% blockage doctor refused the angioplasty operation for SVG to PDA and still he is having pain after taken so much medicine. now he is using sorbitrate during high pain after taken the sorbitrate he felt relaxed. please suggest me what to do for this problem.
Avatar m tn I thought that the PDA was off-gassing so I sent the PDA to the OEM and they checked it and ostensibly found nothing wrong with it. I am now encountereing the same problem with my smart phone. When using the phone in a dark environment, the lighting will occasionally irritate my eyes causing them to itch and start tearing. This occurs with so much intensity that I have to set the phone aside and postpone using it. (I am 69 years old and have age related macular degeneration.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there is no perfect diet and there no perfect diet for diabetes. But avoiding simple carbs is good for everyone. A BG meter is a good tool to use. Check out everything. Even beans. Yes some people have a very large and long lasting spike on beans, even though books suggest it as a good choice. Supplements can help some people. If you want to go in that direction consider things like chromium, they help some people control BG.
Avatar m tn Coronary arterial dominance describes which vessel gives rise to the posterior descending artery (PDA), which supplies the myocardium of the inferior 1/3rd of the interventricular septum. The PDA is most commonly supplied by the right coronary artery (right dominant), less commonly by the left circumflex artery (left dominant) or both (codominant).
Avatar m tn RCA - Few small calcific plaque proximal RCA with mild narrowing of the mid and distal RCA. Dominant and appears normal. PDA/PLB appear normal. D1 , D2 few calcfied plaques at origin D1,D2 with mild narrowing.
Avatar n tn I have a congenital heart disease (PDA) and Rheumatic Heart Disease. Is it possible that I can conceive after my PDA ligation even without mitral valve repair since I have severe mitral valve regurgitation?
Avatar m tn from his Echo cardiography it was found that he has a Large ASD 11 7.2 mm L-R, non restrictive, Small PDA 2 mm L-R, restrictive, mildly dilated RA, RV, Mild TR 20 mm Hg, Good BVF. My doctor has prescribed Syrup Frusin and K2. Doctor also advised to follow up and make Echo cardiogram after 6 weeks. Somebody says it might get close automatically after certai period of time. Could you please highlight something giving your opinion, suggestion and treatment if there is any.
