I might add, that it may be helpful if your start a food journal to keep track of what you eat so you can pick out habits that might need to be changed. There are several websites on which you can keep a food journal or even just start a journal here on MedHelp; I also understand that MedHelp is coming out with a food journal in the near future...

I think that it would be good to have a food journal or something to keep track of what you're eating. Maybe not everyday but it does help to give you a picture of what you eat. So far I've lost 5 - 6 pounds.

This also discourages me. I'm starting my new workout plans when I get off from my midnight shift tonight.

Avatar m tn I checked it out and following a couple of the links, I find they are trying to get you to "join" and if you just want to browse the site without joining, they black out the screen so it's very hard if not impossible to read it. I just scrolled to the bottom and at the very end, it appears that they ultimately want you to pay $57 for some type of weight loss system that appears to include a couple of books, a journal and I'm not sure what else.

May I most kindly and respectfully suggest you begin substituting the word "diet" for "lifestyle" ... it seems to help with the thought process of losing weight. "Diet" really indicated a beginning and an end .. when you start a diet and when you stop one.

Keep a Journal of what you are eating, I have heard that a Journal is great to help with the weight loss. Don't Skip any meals, eat breakfast always, and eat slowly, drinking water, or a small glass of Juice in the morning. Always carry a bottle of water with you wherever you go, and get your recommended water intake.
