Common Questions and Answers about Diet help program

diet

Avatar f tn You have to allow yourself some treats or any diet will fail. But just in moderation or then your diet will definitely fail. Say, eating a little more or something decadent that you've been craving once every ten days. That would be okay.
202436 tn?1326474333 Has anyone tried this program/diet as a non-medicinal approach to add/adhd/behavioral problems? If so, what resources have you used. My daughter was diagnosed with dysthymic disorder (depression) with underlying adhd behaviors. I am NOT in favor of medicating a 6 yo and have heard great things about the feingold diet and other elimination diets to pinpoint foods/additives/artificial colorings/flavorings that can trigger allergies and cause unfavorable behaviors.

Avatar n tn One of my friends has a daughter who is about the same age as our son, and she recently completed a five-week program to help her with attention and memory. The program is called Cogmed Working Memory Training. Do you think this might help our son?
Avatar f tn My non professional opinion HCG diet probably not a good idea and could be dangerous.. With hepatitis C you need to be under the care of a hepatoligist or an gastroenterologist experienced in HCV, hepatology and Cirrhosis. Patients with decompensated cirrhosis (moderate or severe hepatic impairment; CTP class B or C) should be referred to a medical practitioner with expertise in that condition (ideally in a liver transplant center).
335728 tn?1331414412 I am scheduled to start a diet/exercise/lung function program at the end of September and I am more than a little nervous about it. After the pain I experienced from just a little painting, what is going to happen with this program? I am not sure whether or not to tell them that I have MS and it has been deemed "in-active" or not or what I should tell them.
788117 tn?1304011947 That way you can account for all the calories you burn in one day (not just those related to exercise) and compare them to all the calories you consume. I like their diet tracker very much but I like that Med Help has trackers for my migraines, my mood, etc. It's good to get a total picture and the migraine tracker is helping my neurologist and I recognize patterns so I can improve my treatment program. I hope you'll consider my suggestions, but just the same, keep up the good work!
Avatar f tn I want to lose about 70 lbs. I have started a three day diet that should help to loss 10lbs a week. Is this a safe amount to lose weekly?
Avatar f tn Implementing a healthy diet and exercise program should bring some results, even if small ones, at first. Every ounce/pound lost, is motivation to keep trying to lose another ounce/pound. If you're not eating too much and are getting adequate exercise, I strongly urge you to see your doctor and get checked for some medical issues that can really make losing hard, but once diagnosed can be easy to treat.

I am a family nurse practitioner and i have reviewed these mess got myself and for my patients. One is called Beliq and the other is Qsymis. Avatar n tn Birth control pills or the patch are what usually help in this instances. I have done some reading on iodine inbalances and estrogen dominance being issues. You might want to do some googling in those areas. With the estrogen dominance they suggest you adjust your diet and habits to eliminate things that cause it (antibiotics in meat, fertilizers on vegetables, chemicals in your home, etc.). Good luck with everything.
1734735 tn?1413778071 Hey ladies and gents, As you know I accept the Swank research published in the 1980's is proof that diet plays a significant role in MS progression. I have been following Prof George Jelinek's program since Sept 2011 and I am excited to share a new 5 year study of this diet that has been peer reviewed by the medical profession and published in the Neurological Sciences journal this month.
3132508 tn?1345235654 I took the metabolic test, I’m the mixed type so I need to rethink my diet again. I will now eliminate fruit from my daily program and eat fruit maybe once or twice a week, maybe that will bring about some desired changes in my weight.
Avatar m tn Hi Brenda and Diane, I have used this program from doglivershunts.com and it has helped my dog tremendously. He has been on the program (diet, probiotics & enzymes) for a year and he acts like a puppy running around, he is 15 years old. His liver count was 988 last year and my vet thought he was dying, i contacted Rick and Cindy and started him on the program, his liver count was down to 288 in July and he is still doing better each day. Hope this helps!

Avatar n tn If you are pre-diabetic you should be working on a program of carb reduction in your diet, weight loss if needed, exercise and medication if suggested by your doctor. You can slow or even prevent the advancement to diabetes with these things but if you return to previous habits it will return. Talk to your doctor or a diabetic educator for specific plan.
Avatar n tn I have been taking diet pills for at least five years and recently (4 months ago) got on phentermine and redotex from mexico. I just found out today November 10 that I am four months pregnant! I've had no signs of pregnancy, havent had a period for at least eight years, no bump, no sickness, absolutely nothing, but did an ultrasound and found out. What my concern is, is if the baby will be healthy or if the pregnancy should be terminated?
Dog I, too, am a 59-year old (close enough, in March) but I need to START a diet & exercise program. Over the years I have just let myself go, gaining close to 75lbs, now tipping the scales at over 200! I admit I am flat-out lazy, but I also have medical issues that prevent me from being active. My balance is bad due to a 2004 stroke, I am on Coumadin and risk falling and bleeding out. I could go on, but I won't...too depressing. Are you having any luck?
Avatar f tn my gi doctor told me i must lose 30 lbs due to fatty liver can u give me the diet food list that are good for my liver i am genotype 1 stage 3 fioboiss
Dog Hi, I would look at diet to help lose weight and exercise to help tone your body. I recommend to others to get their weight under control before trying much more than walking so as to not stress your knees. Control your diet and as your weight drop slowly increase your physical activity. Remember to get a good overall work out as that will help overall toning and as your metabolic rate rises it will also help with losing weight. Good luck.
