Avatar m tn I saw on an earlier post that a high protein low starch (anti-cancer) diet was recommended and Aleda Cheng indicated that she would post the diet if wanted. The person did not request the diet, but I would be very interested in the diet. Does anyone have any information on this diet? I know the prognosis for my dog is not good, so any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn t care for the prescription foods, or not for long anyway. If I could make a suggestion, look up and join the kidney diet group on yahoo. The moderators there are awesome and they can help you design a fresh food diet for your dog that is tasty, renal friendly, and meets nutritional requirements.
Avatar n tn Food triggers are different for different persons. Some people find cold foods worsening the pain whereas some find spicy foods intolerable. Foods that contain a lot of fat may also trigger the pain. For you it seems to be the same. Please avoid spicy, high salt and high fat diet. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar m tn I am concerned that if I even eat one trigger food, my esophagus will swell up again. Has anybody started incorporating trigger foods into your diet? Also, I am concerned because I don't usually FEEL reflux. It is more silent, I think sometimes.

Avatar n tn A low-fat, high fibre diet can make a big difference to people with gallbladder problems. Eliminating fried foods from your diet and starting with bland foods, you may get to a point where you have no pain. Then you can add new items to see how you feel. Avatar n tn I continue to have residual symptoms such as GERD, gastritis with bloating, RUQ pain, nausea after eating certain foods and a burning sensation in the bottom of my stomach. I have learned over the years to take my medication religiously, eat smaller portions and to avoid foods which are more acidic. However, I still feel nauseous and bloated daily. I am beginning to feel bloated even after I eat small portions of food.

Avatar f tn That's easy for your doctor to say, since he didn't have a heart attack! I'm curious as to what your diet is. Do you eat store bought crappy food with lots of additives, do you use the microwave oven (lots of free radicals are eaten thanks to microwaved foods) and eat 'low fat' foods? Do you eat at fast food places? Do you use cheap vegetable oils when you cook? Are you a vegetarian or vegan? All these things can contribute to heart attacks or worse.
