Eating whole grains, fruits, vegetables and healthy protein will give you more energy. Exercise changes your body more than you realize. It reduces blood pressure, increases endurance and strength, and protects against some chronic diseases. Even without visible results, you are doing your body good. Just get the OK from your doctor first!
Avatar f tn I went to the gym for sauna and swim. Low impact and good exercise. While in the sauna, and a couple hours after, I had no pain anywhere. I just needed that break. Then, floating in the water hurt my skin at first, but it felt really good to move around without gravity bringing me down. It became a little easier each time. I had Restless Everything, arms, legs, torso, brain, and the bottom of my feet hurt, but it went away. Day 5, sweet, you have this.

4605616 tn?1362003158 I know what you mean about the lack of energy and no way was I going to make it to a gym. Walking around the block was hard enough. What I did find helped was drinking Carnation Instant Breakfasts. They are loaded with vitamins and minerals and taste really good. Just try and stay positive and know that you will get your energy back. It is discouraging that it takes so long and then the lack of sleep on top of it but you are one day closer to getting there.

It is really weird but for the first time in a long time, Instead of my usual 30 mins at the gym, I am now spending hours at the gym and really loving the intense work out I am getting. If you are not loosing weigh right away, It is probably muscle weight you are gaining. That is why Your weight loose is going slow. Give it time and You will loose the weight. I have lost 50 pounds so far.

Energy is mostly coming from carbohydrates so ex. client eating only salad with chicken (protein) comes to the gym and wants to faint within 10 min because she ate almost no carbs. Carbs 50-60% of your diet, Protein 12-20%, fat 25-30% of your diet daily. Thirdly, other health conditions can apply to your energy levels like Vitamin D levels. If your D levels are low then your body is extremely lethargic. There are many other illnesses related or relevant.
Avatar m tn Not sure if it was intelligent or dumb that I went to the gym today/bad for me with minimal energy? I guess the gym nut I once was took over and it was more of a mind over matter thing. I feel the same as far as crawling skin but have a better mental outlook on life for the time being. 2 protein shakes down (appetite seems to be getting worse and I get nauseous at times)....getting through day 2. I still can't believe I went to the gym. Hot shower here I come.
Avatar m tn Without drugs I recommend incorporating more fruits and fresh veggies to get the natural nutrients for your immunity health also exercising can really boost your energy levels, I go to the gym two or three times a week and I can get through my day without feeling like crashing mid day. Excersize helps with anxiety and does relieves bad stress on the body, which can lead to weight gain so I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Hi, i have begun back in a gym after years of a lot of working and poor eating habits. Ive dropped all the garbage and am back on track. I go 5-6 days a week and prefer weight training. I do upper body and lower body on seperate days with rest in between and 30-45 min cardio after weights. How many reps can i do at most? I vary my weights and change it up often but i want the absolute most out of every day. Three doesn't seem like enough, and ive been doing 6-8 reps, gradually going heavier.

It is an exhausted feeling like I can hardly hold up my head & my body hurts. Beyond the low energy & pain, I am light sensitive. I am sensitive to cold, but I sweat profusely. My vision is deteriorating and my hair is falling out. I have restless leg syndrome at night that actually is my whole body, making sleep hard. I force myself to do things.

I also changed my diet because that's a must when trying to stay healthy. I am still having lots of issues (medically) due to having no thyroid and it's only been 6mos, but regardless of it all, i chose to stay active.
Avatar n tn You don't need to go to the gym. Why not do a search for videos of exercises that will help define the rear? There are a lot of exercises that you can watch online to learn how to do and they are free. There are also dvds that you can purchase from most major stores that aren't too expensive, plus you might check out your local library and see what they have to loan. Once you know the routine, you don't necessarily need the video - you can use your own music if you like.

My questions are - does diet have any bearing on thyroid absorbsion? Does excercise have any bearing on how much thyroid the body needs?

Avatar f tn Most women get their energy back during their second trimester. I know sometimes it's hard to motivate yourself to get up and exercise but you should walk at least 20 minutes everyday during your pregnancy. Trust me it gets better!

You should try to stick to a diet where you aren't consuming more than 1800-1900 calories a day. You can still snack while you study but try healthier options like yogurt nuts or apples which will help you feel full bit with low fat and high protein and carbs.
