7366593 tn?1400009626 I drink it.. it like my coffee. I gotta have it. Its not really good for you but trust me. There are things wayyyyy worse..
Avatar f tn I drink a cup of coffee every morning, and have a sofa with dinner, or a glass of tea every night. I'll be 32 weeks friday.
Avatar f tn Yes you can have coffee. I drink a iced coffee from the drive thru every day and my babies are just fine. But 200mg a day is what they say is fine to have.
Avatar f tn Mainly because it has been linked to miscarriage and I am really paranoid. Since then I enjoy my morning coffee and I also let myself have a coke classic every day (I hate diet drinks). My Dr. has assured me that a moderate amount of caffeine is fine, and I am so darned tired it really helps me get through the day. My baby is doing great and all test results so far indicate he is healthy as can be. No problems at all. That being said, this again is one of those personal choices...
Avatar f tn Diet or regular? I ask because I used to put sugar in my coffee and over time I found I was putting in more and more. I switched to artificial sweetner, and my use has stayed constant. If you're drinking regular coke, try switching to diet and see if that does the trick.
Avatar f tn I love diet coke.. im 38 weeks tomorow and today babys heartbeat was getting checked it was ovwr 200bpm!!!!! How could I do this to my baby? Turns out its the baby having withdrawals from the lack of diet coke because I had been drinking loads throughout! Will baby be ok when it comes?
Avatar f tn ( Right now I would sell my husband for a diet coke. But after being given this gift of a baby how could I do anything that could potentially be unhealthy? I'm settling for caffeine free. And when I deliver this precious girl... I'm getting the biggest diet coke McDonalds has!
Avatar f tn You could turn the large coffee into a small coffee, cut out the ice tea and have a caffeine free regular coke instead of diet. If I really need a soda to settle my stomach I usually have a sprite. Maybe it won't feel as though you are cutting so much out? I have a cup of coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon. Regular coffee...no capuccinnos or espressos...but I don't normally drink soda. I do however, eat a LOT of dark chocolate.
461781 tn?1285609481 m pregnant it gives me the runs so I have to really want it! LOL. Anyways, I drink caffeine free diet coke when at home and work, so that only time I drink caffinated diet coke is when we go to a restaurant or someone's house. Some days I don't have any caffeine while others I may have a little more than normal. I don't know if caffeine is a reason for m/c, that you should ask your doctor.
6519447 tn?1391770769 lots of women drink soda during pregnancy. I do, but only one a day, usually with dinner. soda won't do any harm, just make sure you don't overdo it! and I'd suggest coke over coke zero. alot of people don't realize diet sodas are worse for you than regular!
Avatar f tn You can have caffeine but in moderation. I am an avid diet coke, coffee, and tea drinker and I needed to cut back but my ob said it would be okay if I had only 1 6-8oz serving of caffeine per day (it also helps me relieve headaches). Also, if your worried, just switch to decaf!
Avatar f tn But there is only 32mg in a can of ordinary coke and 42mg in diet coke.
Avatar f tn m still new to the whole thing but my lifestyle therapist said for me to cut down or completely cut out tea, coffee, even coca-cola. She says Diet coke is worse than normal standard Coke.
Avatar f tn I think the diet coke is actually worse than tea or coffee, because artificial sweeteners seem to be linked to health issues in fetuses. If you're having the equivalent of one cup of coffee per day, it's unlikely you're harming your baby, but 3+ cups of coffee a day has been linked to low birth weight and neurological disorders.
1123420 tn?1350561158 Im the same with Diet Coke! Its mental-but its only the cans I can get that ahhhhhhhhh feeling from. Freezing cold can of Diet Coke yumyum! Can't stand Cherry coke but reading your post made my mouth water for a can of my fav!!!
Avatar m tn Oh ya. It actually aggravates gerd The caffeine and the carbonation of a diet coke. I do think eliminating caffeine can help you. I had to do this with coffee. And I'd already given up pop. But when I have it, I'm very uncomfortable. Losing some weight really helped me overall. Is this something that might be beneficial to you as well? (not sure of your weight, so that's why I'm asking). Have you tried an antacid like Pepcid or Tagamet?
Avatar f tn My wife drinks Diet Coke, and we were at a kabob place and they had Diet Coke and Coke Zero in the fridge and I just was comparing the two to see what the difference was. That's when I noticed on the Diet Coke that over on the right it listed the phenylalanine. As I said, a bit sneaky. it seems to me. Probably was better for you when it just had coca leaves in it.
12365171 tn?1424880667 I also read the artificial sweetener in soft drinks like diet coke is not recommended during pregnancy so I would stear clear of any soft drinks diet or not. No idea what coke zero has in it but I think a mild coffee is better than a diet coke if you really need a kick of cafeinne.
Avatar f tn Im not a big soda drinker, i used to drink just some diet soda ever so often, but since about 9 weeks i have craved nothing but coke and dr pepper and baby is fine.
Avatar f tn Is diet coke safe during pregnancy? I've heard mix reviews.
1274654 tn?1270932948 Only now when I drink say a Diet Coke, and I am now on thyroid meds does it make me go hyper-hyper...but I think it is to do with the fact I do not drink it regularly enough, so my body is more sensitive to it now I am on the medication. That's just my experience!
Avatar f tn I don't drink coffee or coke every day. I try to alternate: one morning I'll have a cup of coffee, next day a coke with lunch, skip a day or 2, then coke or coffee, and so on. On days I don't have a coke or coffee I save my decaf tea for nightime to help me relax. One thing I've found that helps cravings for cokes is flavored carbonated water. Walmart and HEB have store brand bottles for like $0.50 each. No caffeine, no massive amounts of sugar.
Avatar m tn Hi there. I have had gastritis for over a year now. One night I was drinking diet coke. During that week I was drinking lots of diet coke, much more than I usually do. Anyway as I was drinking it at one point it felt like I swallowed an ice cube and my throat locked up. Also known as globus sensation. Since then my throat has gotten better although it is still hard to swallow. My main problem I have developed is a 24/7 breathing problem.
Avatar f tn I'm a die hard dr. Pepper fan normally, but this pregnancy is all about coke. I only drink soda a few times a week but I just need the carbonation and coke isn't too sweet tasting to me so I think that's why I drink it. You should try to drink just a little with each meal if you have to have it that often and try to control the amount of sugar in take. I drink water with every meal on top of whatever I'm craving, to help cut back on the consumption of the not so healthy drink.
