Avatar f tn I am a nurse and know that he is not typical at all and this is not only prematurity. Therefore, we just had a stool analysis done and received the results today. His Candida albicans (yeast) is 3+ on a 1-4+ scale. Also, he has a 4+ of Bacillus cereus. I have found that that is the leading bacteria for food poisoning. I am wondering if anyone knows what these results really mean.
Avatar f tn I was just diagnosed last week. I want given meds. I have to test my blood four times a day and stick to a diet of no sweets and limit carbs. The trick they told me is to make sure you balance out your carbs with protein. I check my vlood first thing in the morning and then eat breakfast. Two hours after that I have to check again and have a small snack. They want to keepy levels from going up and down. If after a certain amount of time my levels aren't good, then they will resort to meds.
Avatar f tn Good luck with it all. Keep us posted as you how you are doing.
Avatar f tn The presence of blood in urine is due to hemorrhagic cystitis. You need to get urine analysis, culture and sensitivity tests. I suggest you to take cranberry tabs and drink lots of fluids. Ensure that you have been prescribed appropriate antibiotics if not you may have to start one. Further analysis is also mandatory to rule out upper genito urinary tract problems. Consult a physician for evaluation and prescription for appropriate antibiotic course. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn However, losing the exact 6 kilogram may entail analysis of your calorie intake, how fast your metabolism is, your diet and your overall health. It is best that you check with your doctor or be referred to a nutritionist for proper evaluation. Take care and regards.

Avatar n tn Depending on what was composed of, you can try to prevent more with diet modification and/or medications. I take Urocit K to change the PH of my urine to help prevent calcium oxalate stones and Alopurinol (gout medication) to help prevent Uric Acid stones. I also was told to drink at least a gallon of water a day, avoid foods that are high in oxalate and purine. I hope you feel better soon.
Avatar n tn we are try to have another child since 2004. Now the doctor suggested me for semen analysis test, the result of it is mind boggling. Total Volume 1.5ml, total semen 26million, 98percent abnormal sperms, Nil normal. what treatment do you suggest?
Avatar m tn Based on my analysis of blood tests, my 70-year old aunt currently has Stage 3b CKD and is actually close to Stage 4. Back in 8/2008, her GFR was 49.5. A year later, it's 32. This is a loss of 17.5ml/min over 12 months. Every test I looked at, her BUN (22-23), Creatinine (1.3-1.6) and Choloride (112) are elevated. I suspect it was out-of-control hypertension which caused her kidney function to deteriorate. I measured her BP at 200/110 several occasions over the weekend.
Avatar n tn During this time ive been consuming alot of water but in the second urine analysis in april i had oxalate. Avatar m tn What have you done to change your diet? Have you heard of or tried the paleo diet? check out marksdailyapple.com or robbwolff.com or even the paleodiet.com. It sounds like you have a food intolerance and trying to figure out what is causing this is your best bet of relieving the pain. Cutting out grains especially GLUTEN/WHEAT and DAIRY will probably do you wonders!

Avatar m tn I tried lots of acid reflux medication, pain killers, probiotics, tried candida diet, gluten diet and currently staying away from wheat, milk and egg but still the pain is out there. Exercise makes it more worse and even sitting in the car because the belly touches the belt and also it presses. Even if gas is passed the pain gets 10% better but still the pain is out there. I don't eat spicy, no tomato sauce or greasy food. I know it will get worse.
Avatar f tn I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case. I'm an avid bodybuilder whom exercises 5-6 days a week.
Avatar f tn You may need tests like ultrasound scan of pelvis, thyroid tests, hormonal assay, HSG etc. Semen analysis of your husband may be helpful. Other tests will depend on your clinical examination findings. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination Consult your gynecologist for more queries and assistance. Keep me posted. Best luck and take care!
Avatar m tn In the mean time you could consider following an elimination diet. Some foods we are sensitive to can cause the body to have inflammation, make us feel tired and depressed. Mainly Wheat and Dairy. With some people soy, eggs and nightshade vegetables can also cause a problem. The only way to really know it to try the "diet" out and see how you feel. Let me know if you have any other questions I might be able to help you with.
Avatar m tn I have had tests and everything is fine so the doctor said my husband should have a semen analysis done just to be sure, although he said it should be fine as I am able to conceive. So the results came back and reception told us the results were satisfactory. Regardless we wanted them explained and printed so we booked an appointment to see the doctor. He told us that this was an error and in fact they were NOT satisfactory!!! Obviously really annoyed and emotional.
