Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage,but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
My 59 year old husband, Hep C+ diagnosed in 2007, F-4 Cirrhosis diagnosed in 2010, compensated liver (last blood work was in July, 2012, and he has never had ascites, varices, or hepatic encephalopathy), and failed three Hep C treatments in past 5 years (last failure was triple tx w/Incivek stopped treatment mid-April, 2012 due to viral breakthrough), not currently on treatment.
Question: He has had pain and swelling on forearm recently.
You can apply ice packs and also massage diclofenac gel on the area of pain and you can also consider some diclofenac sprays for pain relief.
As you are seeing an orthopedician and going perfectly the right way, follow that properly and have patience and do your physical therapy properly and regularly.
Do not exert your affected shoulder with physical activity or by lifting of heavy weights.

I would recommend an MRI of head/brain with CONTRAST, an MRI of the neck and a Neurology consult for starts.

Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
s pointed almost 90 degrees outward or he just hops around. We use 10% Diclofenac gel and heat as our first choice to manage the pain. He seems to be in constant discomfort again..ranging from mild to severe.
He is an otherwise healthy, active little boy. His height:weight is normal and he is generally on the small end of both scales.
Any possible diagnosis? I understand that any nasty bone tumors have been ruled out by the bonescan & CT. Is there a possible soft tissue cause?
I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
I take a baby aspirin 81 mg as well but that is such a small dose that it does not compare to what someone would take for headache. I was told Advil and aspirin are not on the safe drug list only Tylenol.
I dislocated my shoulder two weeks ago, and had an x-ray in the emergency room which showed no broken bones. I have since seen a physiotherapist, last week, where I have been given exercises and have been told to return in two weeks, to see if there is improved movement of my shoulder/arm, and to see if the pain has subsided. The pain continues to wake me at night, and today, the pain has been severe. I have been unable to do any exercises due to the pain.
Good day! I have been experiencing tennis elbow (tendonitis) in my right elbow for the last 6 months. It's due to weight training and heavy lifting. I've cut back on the weight but still have soreness (though not as bad.) I've tried ice a few times each day, a brace when I exercise and Advil yet I still have it. My health insurance plan at work ***** and I don't want to go see a doctor as I don't have the money. Any suggestions? Thanx!!!
