Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
Avatar n tn 2) Pennsaid solution (diclofenac sodium 1.5%) is another topical treatment similar to Voltaren gel (also made by Endo) that is approved for the treatment of knee arthritis symptoms. The recommended dose is 40 drops per knee, four times a day. 3) Lidoderm patches are patches with topical lidocaine, which works as a pain reliever. Lidoderm can work for low back pain among other things.

Question: He has had pain and swelling on forearm recently.
Avatar f tn My liver levels two years ago were normal. How can this happen? I have been in Diclofenac (Naproxen) medicine for 3 1/2 months as result of a foot injury. Do you think my abnormal levels could be related to this medicine? I'm so concerned.
Avatar m tn I am currently undergoing treatment with a urologist. No abnormality seen with the testes, Tested for herpes and chlamydia STD. Both tests negative. In any case, I have been treated with tinidazole and azithromycin in the event that there could be some bacterial infection though there has never been any discharge but it didn't make any difference. AFAIK, I never had any stds before. Urine microscopic and sensitivity and urine cytology are both normal.
Avatar n tn I had a cough for about two months, which has subsided after treatment. While the cough lasted i got a pain under my right breast extending to the area below my right underarm. At first it felt like a muscular sprain, it hurt to breathe in deeply, move in certain ways, etc. The pain has gone away, but at night when i sleep on my right side and then move i get this stinging/burning pain that wakes me. I also have less sensation to touch in the area.
Avatar m tn Truvada alone is the most frequent PEP treatment and is believed to be highly effective. I see no reason to start Keletra or anything else. But if you remain concerned, you could discuss it with your doctor. Finally, after this sort of exposure, you should also have been tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia (with a rectal swab) and have a blood test for syphilis. Probably these were done by your doctor. If not, discuss it with him. I hope this has helped.
Avatar m tn Hi, There are other NSAIDS other than diclofenac that can be used in the treatment of gout. These include indomethacin and naproxen. Even paracetamol (acetaminophen) can provide pain relief in a gout attack. If your father has been prescribed a medication called dutasteride for treatment of the BPH, it is possible that the diclofenac was interacting with it and leading to his problems with urination.
Avatar n tn Hi good people, My niece has a problem for the past one week of waking up when the lips and eye lids (similar to eye bags) are swollen and when she takes cetrizine and diclofenac, the inflammation goes away. She is 29 years and tells me she had the same problem about 10 years ago and cleared .
Avatar f tn I was wondering what is the treatment for this. I have chronic sinus infections for 7 mos. this time. Also interested to know if this could be causing the on & off pain I have on left side of my face (in that area, I think). Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Avatar n tn Hi, This looks like a pain arising from the intercostals muscles or it could be tietze’s syndrome in which there’s inflammation of the cartilage of the ribs resulting in the severe pain. It’s also called costochondritis. Te treatment usually lies in local application of an analgesic ointment and oral anti-inflammatory tablets like ibuprofen/diclofenac. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Avatar f tn I was admitted to hospital at Christmas and as part of the treatment was given an intramuscular anti-emetic in my posterior. Since then I have had altered sensation and occasional pain in a approx. 6 cm square area on the top of my left thigh. It's about 10-15 cm from where I was injected. The pain is mostly when I touch/press on it but can also come on without contact. The numbness is constant. Does anyone have any clue what this is? Should I see a doctor? Anything I can do to treat it?
473384 tn?1210206242 like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues. I stopped it last week and OMG I can't believe how bad my pain became. I could not even walk, could not get comfortable in bed to sleep, etc etc etc.
