i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Would decreasing to 22mcg be an option? A fellow Rebif user on another MS site who never had any side effects sudenly had terrible reactions post injection. He reported no further side effects after dropping the dose in half.
This is just a temporary solution till he gets in to see his Neuro in a couple of weeks.
I manage my side effects OK with extra strength Tylenol, which you've already stated don't cut it for you.
sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP!
Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.

And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids.

I cannot live w/o the med due to the pain but oftentimes get some GI side effects and also if taken too close to my Synthroid (thyriod issues) I get very tired and/or anxiety ....
