Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
Avatar m tn m taking those medication (diclofenac/prochlorperazine). The headache continues, so as the tinnitus and it is wearing me off. I did googled to find out about my symptoms but they all lead me to brain tumor/chiari or related. Is it possible that I could suffer from brain tumor/chiari? p/s i am currently relying on my left eye because my right eye have been diagnosed with keratoconus and I am using a rigid contact lens.
Avatar f tn I had a sinus infection in Nov of 2007, and I have had a headache ever since. It has been a constant thing that is beginning to drive me insane. I have recently had a CAT scan that came back normal in an emergency room. Sometimes it is so intense I have to go to bed and take vicodin (2) so the pain will subside. It is usually pounding when I need to take the vicodin. My head feels like there is a ball rolling around on the inside and when it hits the walls of my skull it hurts really bad.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

Avatar f tn The treatment for such headaches varies, depending on the type of headache and any underlying causes. Have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and best regards.
Avatar m tn I'm a 21 year old male, and for the last 3 weeks, I have had a sporadic headache that flares up at seemingly random intervals. I can usually sense one coming on, as my vision flashes dark around the edges. These headaches are accompanied by a tingling sensation in my hands, and seem insensitive to normal, over the counter treatment options (e.g. Tylenol). They also induce a feeling of heavy-ness, like my head is about to pop, as well as a throbbing/stabbing pain.
Avatar f tn cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) -Acupuncture and pain-relief meditation exercises As no medicine has broken the headache cycle, preventative headache medicines have been limited. Took Topirimate (Topamax) for one month, discontinued due to lack of response and side effects (breakthrough bleeding due to reaction with birth control pill). Last night I began taking Nortriptyline.

Avatar m tn Ice pack and identification of triggers (using the headache/migraine tracker of medhelp) may provide relief. Knowing the triggers (food, weather climate, etc) will help in migraine prevention. If it still persists, you may need to have this evaluated further for proper management. Your medical history and complete physical examiantion will help determine the underlying cause. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn She has gradually moved from Paracetamol and Ibuprofen to Co-Codemol and Diclofenac Sodium, and most recenly to Dihydrocodeine 30mg. She hates taking medicine, but has been on this stuff around the clock since the injury; yet the headaches occasionaly 'burn through' the medicine. She describes the pain as equivalent with childbirth contractions. In the space of 17 days, she has been to A&E 3 times and the local GP surgery a couple of times.
Avatar f tn I had a full eye-test, and the optician said that my eyes are completely healthy and there is nothing she can see which would explain my visual problems or headache. My GP thinks my headache is neuralgia, but the medications I have been prescribed have not helped at all ~ first Diclofenac then Amitriptyline. I have stopped using these, as they have no effect. My optician says it is positive that she cannot see anything wrong.
Avatar m tn So I've been having these headaches... I've visited the doctors 3 times now. First they said it was a Sinus infection and they gave me steroids for it. Still no change. Then I went to the hospital, they gave me a CT scan. Nothing came up and they said everything was fine but they put me on Amoxicillin, Ibuprofen, and Vicodin. No change. Then went to a new doctor. He said that it was a tension headache and put me on baclofen and diclofenac. Still no change.
