so it supposed to be good for everything from arthritis to Gout. I take it for pain from a permanent rib injury. It looks like we are about the same age do you mind me asking what you are taking it for? And you are right sometimes they are not very good about telling us that we should not expect results right away and it may take a few weeks for certain meds to work well. Let me know how you do. I am doing well so far but like I said it took a couple of weeks.

I took it for inflammation in my foot. I have a calcification in my acheles tendon. I took an Essential Enzyme with it and had no stomach upset. You can get this at a health food store either online or in your neighborhood. I do know this prescription should not be taken for more than a month or so according to my doctor. So my doc just prescribed Voltaren topical. It's the same thing as diclofenac but topical so you are getting less than 1% of it in your body so it's much safer.

5 days after the filling was done, I was still getting a lot of pain from both the tooth and my lower jaw. The tooth that was filled is extremely sensitive to the cold air test and the dentist suspects that there may be an infection in the tooth and has put me on a course of amoxycilin. (This seems plausable as there was a 10 day delay between my old filling breaking and being able to get it fixed). However I am still experiencing terrible pain in my lower jaw.

I have a muscle pain on my shoulder that it doesn't let me sleep. It hurts no matter how I lie to sleep. I have taken some pills that are not strong enough to take the pain away. I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

They are for many things, like ear ache, tooth prevention of infection, for a commonn cold, and the latter is a pain killer.

However, viral illnesses and head trauma have also been known to cause this problem, and, sometimes, we never can figure out what the exact cause even is. For the jaw and tooth pain, I would defer back to the dentist.

From last few days I am experiencing pain in left part of brain towards scalp, simultaneously on back part of left eye and in area from eye to ear. Pain increase while I am sleeping and subsides slowly after I wake up. What it is?

I would like to know what other pain killers are available for osteoarthritis. I have been on diclofenac for months for osteoarthritis of the knee and degenerative disk disease. I have tried to stop it several time due to concerns that I may get a GI bleed, have a stroke.... but this seems to be the only medication I have found that helps.

i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

The FDA just announced that dicoflenac gel (brand name Voltaren Gel) often prescribed for arthritis pain is linked to severe liver damage and it can happen within the first month of use According to the FDA, this topical gel has been reported to cause liver necrosis (death of liver cells), jaundice, and liver failure some cases of which have required liver transplant and some that have been fatal! Despite these horrible side effects, dicoflenac gel remains on the market.

Some offer limited relief but there is no cure. I also suffer with chronic back pain for which I use a topical pain cream. My arms were itching so badly one day that I smeared the pain cream all over my arms. The itching stopped; of course it came back but I just added more cream. The BRP is Maddening...but the pain cream helps.

Spikes of pain last a few hours, and seem concentrated within a few days. I.e., pain will be at a 4 for a week, and then will be up to an 8 for several days in a row. - Not associated with nausea, light/sound sensitivity, auras, or other migraine symptoms My medical history: 27-yr old female with overall good health but some emotional issues. Currently on Wellbutrin for depression, Lamictal for mood swings, Xanax as needed for panic attacks, and birth control (Yaz).

I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.

The Diclofenac (anti-inflammatory) has taken the pain away :)

Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.

Very toxic for cats.....

it hurts me a lot and makes facial swelling. Please advice what drugs can reduce pain from the wisdom tooth. i dont want to have the tooth out. best regards!

few days back she get up for something n get started with bachache...pain is of severe and of burning type...she feel pain in muscles all over the back...on inspiration pain increases...she cant tolerate to sleep pn foam, pain in increased by walking n in sitting position....the strange thing is that pain is not increased on deep palpation....pain is releived in lying position on hard surface or by heat sponging.....she has also some stomach problem so cant use heavy medicines...

well...not sure if u r addicted to valium...not a good med for sleep tho..lots out there safer than benzos for sleep....ask them about it/ur doctor i mean sounds like u have done a wonderful job tapering down on the morphine...the med u mentioned is an anti-inflamatory....and can help pain...other things can help like muscle relaxers, nerve inhibitors like neurontin...have u tried yoga? or chirporactic....perhaps this surgery u speak of will do wonders...

You can apply ice packs and also massage diclofenac gel on the area of pain and you can also consider some diclofenac sprays for pain relief. As you are seeing an orthopedician and going perfectly the right way, follow that properly and have patience and do your physical therapy properly and regularly. Do not exert your affected shoulder with physical activity or by lifting of heavy weights. Take care!

since nov 2010 i have been in and out of hospital 3 times for the same symptoms very painful swollen testecalls each time given ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets,diclofenac sodium 50mg, for six weeks also told to go to st marys hosp to be checked for std have done so and am please to say all clear. been back to my dr for follow on check only to be given more diclofenac to take for another six weeks WHY?.

I am sorry I am not helpful with the GERD issue. I do have IBS though. I glad that some other community members are beginning to chime in. :) I do however have a very bad right shoulder and had surgery a year and a half ago, so I know exactly how you feel at least with the shoulder issue. I use ice on it to fall asleep some nights and that helps. I also take an NSAID, but I am guessing you can't take those either with your stomach issues? Hrmmmm.....
