arthrotec

Avatar f tn so it supposed to be good for everything from arthritis to Gout. I take it for pain from a permanent rib injury. It looks like we are about the same age do you mind me asking what you are taking it for? And you are right sometimes they are not very good about telling us that we should not expect results right away and it may take a few weeks for certain meds to work well. Let me know how you do. I am doing well so far but like I said it took a couple of weeks.
653169 tn?1303446369 Thanks for info. I also am intolerant of almost all NSAIDS, but did get away with taking diclofenac last winter for a couple of months so I'll probably just go back on it for as long as my stomach can handle it. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia both also. Do you know if fibromyalgia can deform joints like arthritis does? Fibromyalgia is a fairly new diagnoses for me. MY DR. wants me on Savella for it, but I've tried to take it twice and couldn't handle the side effects!
Avatar m tn m taking those medication (diclofenac/prochlorperazine). The headache continues, so as the tinnitus and it is wearing me off. I did googled to find out about my symptoms but they all lead me to brain tumor/chiari or related. Is it possible that I could suffer from brain tumor/chiari? p/s i am currently relying on my left eye because my right eye have been diagnosed with keratoconus and I am using a rigid contact lens.

Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

Avatar m tn Hi, Thank you for your question. For persistent head and neck pains, possibilities like pinched nerve in cervical spine, migrainous, cluster, tension and refractive errors that need to be evaluated thoroughly with the help of a neurologist here. Migraine like headache can be throbbing, one sided of face & head and preceded by aura (starts with blurred vision). Cluster headache may appear as burning, explosive in nature and tear appears from eyes.
Avatar m tn You can also google 'diclofenac and liver'. I have found an articles saying the following: Data collected by the FDA shows that diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), has caused serious liver toxicity and liver failure in some patients.

Avatar n tn I would like to know what other pain killers are available for osteoarthritis. I have been on diclofenac for months for osteoarthritis of the knee and degenerative disk disease. Avatar f tn For the past five years I have worked on my feet for most of the day and since then have always experienced a lot of pain in my legs and wrist. A friend of mind suggested that I use arthrotec for the pain as it has helped her. I am 32 years old and am on a birth control pill. Any thoughts on the safety of this idea?
Avatar f tn Hi there, I'm a 25-year-old female that lives at altitude. I am mildly overweight, have low end of normal blood pressure. I exercise approximately 5 days a week and walk about 1.5-3 miles a day during work hours --otherwise I have a desk job. I eat primarily whole grains and foods, whole goats milk, and only drink 1-2 times a week and typically not heavily. I've had a constant headache since September 20, 2015.
Avatar f tn I have been having pain behind my right ear on opening my mouth fully for about 2 weeks now. I do not see any redness or swelling surrounding the jaw or ear, the pain seems to be internal. I have no problem with my teeth or gums either. When I try to open my mouth fully, the pain is very severe and also, I have headache, the pain is near the eyebrow and behind my neck. I have on and off fever and chills and also nauseousness and dizziness sometimes.
Avatar f tn The treatment for such headaches varies, depending on the type of headache and any underlying causes. Have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and best regards.

Avatar f tn I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.
Avatar m tn I'm a 21 year old male, and for the last 3 weeks, I have had a sporadic headache that flares up at seemingly random intervals. I can usually sense one coming on, as my vision flashes dark around the edges. These headaches are accompanied by a tingling sensation in my hands, and seem insensitive to normal, over the counter treatment options (e.g. Tylenol). They also induce a feeling of heavy-ness, like my head is about to pop, as well as a throbbing/stabbing pain.
Avatar m tn quit alcohol for 6 months now; chiropractor since summer; accupuncture since summer; Meds are Diclofenac which really does nothing; on Bactrim now since beginning of the year and the numbness, tingling, and headaches are improved but not gone.

Avatar m tn The FDA just announced that dicoflenac gel (brand name Voltaren Gel) often prescribed for arthritis pain is linked to severe liver damage and it can happen within the first month of use According to the FDA, this topical gel has been reported to cause liver necrosis (death of liver cells), jaundice, and liver failure some cases of which have required liver transplant and some that have been fatal! Despite these horrible side effects, dicoflenac gel remains on the market.
Avatar f tn I have had a dull, not severe, but uncomfortable headache on my left temple for 2 months now. About a month into the headache, I noticed my vision altered. I am not sure the 2 are connected, but at this point I am still experiencing both symptoms. My headache is there all through the day and night, when I go to sleep and wake up. The same with vision.
